This looks like it'd be a really fun job. It feels like she could go quite a bit faster if it weren't for the fact she was ferrying folks from the campground or whatever that is to the park.
@@blipusch I figured as much, Safety first after all! It just surprised me how little the throttle lever (Regulator I think it's called?) was open. It looked like the train was coasting for a good part of it, which shows just how efficient rail is. Then again, it's not just safety, but wear and tear you've got to worry about too. Not to mention all the extra coal and water you'd go through (and subsequent additional cleaning).
@@DFX2KX Our railroad is like a roller coaster ride, it’s up then down then up then down. There is a lot of opening and shutting the throttle. But also very fun.
I really love this video! I'm a steam train person! Thanks for letting me come aboard!- timothy Weist!!

She can go faster but considering we are pulling 8, 12 seater coaches we want to be as safe as possible :)

@@blipusch if I'm ever in the region, I'll have to make a point to stop by and get a ride. the pandemic can't last forever :D
Woo woo from Detroit like too see more on zoo trains or other mini steam trains state of Michigan
It's like a dreaming 2:00
What a great cab ride I wonder why they used a general signals electronic crossing bell instead of the Bells mounted on the signals at that crossing
TexasRailfan21 because it used to be a mechanical bell but it broke so they replaced it with an electric one
@@blipusch Oh OK I gotcha
Any more like this state of Michigan
❤🚂
Cool ride but kinda hard to see anything, lol.
That’s true but the purpose is to show off the cab and the crew at work. :)
@@blipusch Fair enough.
