I was thinking of getting the table lamp for my guest room as it's the only one that can be used easily with one hand since you don't have to pick up the cable and plug it in to charge it, nor do you have to turn the lamp upside down to reach the button, but that price tag is a bit off putting. It feels weird paying the double price as a regular Hue Go for what is essentially a Hue Go with a handle, a wireless charger, and some metal framing.
Hey Adam, is the standard go recommended for bedside table use? If pointed at a wall and in color mode, do you get the feeling that the color is brighter because of the position or this doesn’t apply to the standard go?
It could work for that, but depends on how exactly you're wanting to use it. The table lamp is a lot better as a reading light, but I like the go better as a mood light and just to radiate color off the wall. I've got dark gray walls in my office now and the color still bounces off, but its more of a subtle glow than a reading light.
@@adamtalkstech Well, it would be used as a mood light and not as a reading light. It’d splash on the wall for maximum radiance. So, I think the standard Go would be more suited for my situation.
@@adamtalkstech by the way, and completely OT: have you recently had any issues with your hue bulbs turning on the wrong color after triggering an automation through a motion sensor? I have scenes with bulbs set on specific colors, but when they turn on through an automation, they choose their own color.

Definitely overpriced.
Thanks for helping me decide which one to get
Which did you go with?

Yes I think I would choose the go for that. Plus you could almost get 2 gos for that price!!!@@FranciRoosters

I have not. I don't use too many bulbs with motion sensors these days though.@@FranciRoosters
