It's great to see a race horse with such personality! He has so much spirit! God Bless his family that raised him.. Not over working him treating him like a family member . Not just a money maker! And especially his caretaker and best friend. I know this man will take care of him through thick and thin. Even the trainer said they were taking a nap together in the stall beforethe Derby. That is love not just a job! Rich Strike is a rarity. After listening to his story, knowing the love and affection he receives . It gives him a definite advantage of winning! Yes he a bit bossy and very high strung! He wants his space away from the other horses can't blame him for that! Rich is a beautifully formed horse, well muscled and walks elegantly, knows he's a racehorse. Also, very aware of his surroundings. Reminds me of Secretariat's personality. I think it's why so many love him...they've seen this before.

I work in canada woodbine they wont even give your horse a gate card even for 2 year old juvenile thoroughbreds if they can't breeze 5 furlongs in 59 seconds there's 2 year olds who can breeze in 47 seconds flat 😂😂😂😂 rich strike is gonna get fucking smoked at the Beloit respond to me June 11 when he loses 😂😂😂

This dudes claim is that the horse doesn't know what a finish line is and so 'can't' know it won,,, BUT Geez,,, The Horse is FIRST,,, he knows he's FIRST,,, People go Crazy,,, his jockey his trainer his owner he gets roses and ceremonies and all of this... Like I met and talked softly to a beautiful Anheuser Busch horse team I was privileged to get near in their horse trailers after a parade. It was a once in a lifetime happening for me and I was in awe for opportunity. So I just smiled and was blessed for the opportunity. 🙏😊

Those eyes look very worried. He's not posing for the camera. Horses don't do that. He's very alert to something in that particular area. Looking worried, hyper vigilant, and definitely not relaxed.
I loved watching the horses size each other up during the entrance walk & the raw stallion pride that Rich Strike exhibits, 'don't pat me!' & stamps his foot, and then rearing up from a glance by a competitor, a whole conversation going on hardly noticed by the humans, beyond being ornery.
He poses just like Secrataret used to he would hear the clicking of the camera and would stop and pose this horse is feisty which I think is good and very alert I hope he wins Love him Good Luck Richie

That was the photo placed on the cover of Time magazine or was it Newsweek? It was one of them. Richie reminds me of a smaller version of Big Red and he has the same red chestnut color. A few months ago he was a nobody and today he’s a rock star. I’m so happy for the horse and his connections. I’ll be rooting for him in the Belmont Stakes.

I’m not a horse racing fan but this horse captured my imagination. Keep at it, never quit, don’t listen to those who say you are a loser an 80:1 shot at success. This race is not a sprint so I’m curious to see how it plays out.

I don’t think you can change his style like that and get the same results . Just needs to stay within ten lengths and make a similar move to Jazil’s when they are going around the final turn not wait til the stretch . Majority of Belmont winners are first or second entering the stretch .

I don’t think you can change his style like that and get the same results . Just needs to stay within ten lengths and make a similar move to Jazil’s when they are going around the final turn not wait til the stretch . Majority of Belmont winners are first or second entering the stretch .
I believe he will finish in the top four at Belmont. Perfect distance for him .
