I loved it - looked like a perfect day. I think the thing I liked the most about riding in the UK was the access. You aren't limited to driving to a trail center for a day ride, but can easily explore a whole region by bike via bridlepaths, singletrack, and farm roads. I'm quite sure that's why Komoot hasn't taken off here in the US as well as in Europe.
Went riding at my local jumps today. Wet weather, foot slipped, pin came out of the pedal and got stuck in my shin. Pulled it out with tweasers. #surgeon

Very enjoyable video. Liked the relaxed tone, beautiful scenery and info on Garmin 1030 Plus as have been thinking about a cycling computer. Well done! Thank you.
Know those hills well, and they’re so overlooked as a riding location, they have a huge variety of trails - fire roads, single tracks, technical and smooth, a downhill area and even some massive gap jumps through the woods. You can easily ride all day there. Good choice for some big rides 👍
Ridden the Quantocks once about 3 years ago, in the rain. Still recognised some of those trails tho...some classic routes, but always very sawtooth ride profile.
@@triathleteuk I haven't taken the plunge mainly because satnav's seem to be hit and miss and I can't think these can be a lot better especially when you are in the middle of nowhere without any sort of signal.

Done pretty much that exact same thing, but my shin exploded instead of sticking with the pin. Completely fractured
