holy frikin shit.... i can't believe this!! i used to work for "greenland productions" in montreal. every punk/ska tour that came to town, greenland brought them. i'd bring show tickets & flyers to points of sale, mostly skate shops & music stores. for the shows themselves, i'd unload gear, stand at the door ripping tix, help with merch, etc. but when the show starts, i'm between the stage & the crowd with 3 or 4 other guys, either helping or preventing stage diving, depends on the band. i'm the guy on the left, next to the speaker, black t-shirt, black skully (toque in canada), goatee, scanning the front row. at one point, the unknown bastard got his mic cord wrapped around my neck & starts marching in the opposite direction, half dragging & choking me... i'm pretty sure that's when lars says, "i see the unknown bastard has made a fan", or maybe he was referring to the guy behind me that did a few back-up vox. pause @11:48, there i am, at knee level with the aforementioned bastard.. can't fkn believe i'm seeing this!!! best job i've ever had. met so many great artists, had tons of great times, got tons of great stories... props to nancy, paget, nunya, & gaby m.
Honestly when I first started listening to them after listening to punk my whole life then getting into Rancid, I was like "they are awesome I can't wait to find more music like this!" And I didn't realize at the time that this band was a gem and no other bands can really match their hardcore street punk with rock and roll vibe and energy (a lot of similar styles of course long before them and after, still many great bands!), but this band was a masterpiece.
Remember seeing them in Cleveland on a headlining tour, with Roger Miret and the Disasters and Vietnam DMS. Roger and the band got stuck in Canada and couldn't make the date. One of the best live shows I have ever seen. Roger came back with Horrorpops? a few months later.

aw, yeah, those were the days. blow dryer, hairspray (boohoo, i didn't use knox and whatnot), studded belts and bleached jeans with a cig in your mouth. i'll admit, i was a bit of a lars wannabe in the mid-2000s. nowadays i'm more the long hair and work pants kinda guy 🤣 but damn do i love the music still. 35 now.

Dead American is an amazing song. The whole debut blew wigs off.
Finally a decent register of this band at its prime! They’re my favorite punk band at the moment.
Dude I saw them in 8th grade with swinging utters and Dropkick Murphys. Fucking amazing. I love this video.
At the moment ? You mean in 2O22 ? Dude that's pretty bad, you shouldn't say that in public you know ? 😅
@@thomasdupont7186finding good music shouldn't be a bad thing. I saw this tour. I'm glad they found them.

Great that this got caught on camera. One of my all time favourite punk bands, especially loved the debut.
