    Very, very good video. One point, the fire. I’m assuming you’d also isolate the fuel but of course this might of course require you to go to the opposite side and fast moving traffic and isolating the battery, wouldn’t this stop the hazard warning lights?

    • @a1trainingservices
      @a1trainingservices  Год назад

      Hi Liz great question! Yes it would stop the hazard lights, however the government guidance is that’s the procedure that should be followed. Hope that helps. 🙂🚛

    How would you secure a wagon with side curtain

    • @a1trainingservices
      @a1trainingservices  10 месяцев назад

      You could use a tamper-proof security seal so you can easily see if the load has been tampered with, hope that helps 👍

    On the fuel question do you have to open the fuel cap to see how much you have inside

    • @a1trainingservices
      @a1trainingservices  Год назад

      No when checking your fuel you can use the fuel gauge on the dashboard.

    • @dukwdriver2909
      @dukwdriver2909 Год назад

      Good question. Fuel gauges are not infallible. Please keep your investigative mind. The difference between the test and working reality. Better ask the workshop guys. They have to repair what "clever" drivers break. But the breakers always have an excuse to prove they are the best and fastest driver on the firm. Don't let "old" driver's trying to cover up their lack of real knowledge put you off. Any questions, ask me. Over 40 years hands-on experience as driver, shunter, instructor and mechanic.

      I’m still confused as to where my axle is and to embarrassed to ask my firm

    • @dukwdriver2909
      @dukwdriver2909 Год назад

      @@amandafereday7928 An axle is the part between the wheel stations that supports the wheels either side. Class 2 covers rigid vehicles with more than 4 wheels i.e. 2 axles. Front axles normally consist of just a drop forged beam with swivel joints at each end to allow for steering movement of the wheels. Rear drive axles. have a large housing, normally in the centre, called a differential where the power from the prop shaft is turned to drive both rear wheels via gears and drive shafts contained in the tubes either side of the diff. 6 and 8 wheelers can have a single or double drive axles. Loads need to be distributed so that no axle is overloaded according to the Plating Certificate which must be clearly displayed inside the cab.
      There are other types of axle such as lift axle and rear steer.
      Just remember...we were all novices once...it is not a crime.
