They TOTALLY DO! He's the goody goody straight A student but his girlfriend hangs out with all the bad kids. She wants him to be bad with her but he's just over it!😅😅 He tries talking to her and show her how fun it is to be good... she's not having ANY of that. She likes her"Bad Girl" image. They need couples counseling!😅
Wow! Akila....she is a fast crocodile! I hope she learns patience. I have been worrying Chris, that you are burning candles at both ends and it will compromise your ability to use the top notch reflexes you have to stay safe. Plus You really need to get enough rest and food to protect your immune system. I hope you find enough volunteers, or even employees at some point to be able to take some of the burden off of you and Gabby. Please take care of you! Nice to meet Rachel. A lot of great info. Really enjoyed the input behind the way you feed the foxes from Rachel. It helps to understand the process. Great vlog. Thanks so much!
I LOVE that no matter how long you talk and not feed, Big Mac just stands there with his mouth wide open patiently waiting for his treat... it just looks sooo funny!🤣😆
Love the Croc and Gator training. Seriously Big Mac and Bella are adorable all posted up with mouths open begging for food. So cute. Poor Shippo having Hazel poo in his bowl. Excited to see how the new foraging of fruit and veggie will do for the foxes and new training. Blessings.
Looks like some lovely replenishing rain, filling up the water tables, and ensure the land water in the pond is fully restored. Frogs, turtles and other water lovers will all be overjoyed. Thanks for the vlog
My favorite bachelor and bachelorette❤ Big Mac and Bella!! Boy, that Akila can still be a little, wicket witch, can't she? Still challenging! Love watching your expertise with these guys! 🐊
Your videos are such a blessing some days. They remind me that not everybofy sucks. Pushy girl! "Yeah, Bella go away, it's Big Mac turn for food!" Look at him waiting so nicely. Lot of us are super proud of them too. Loving the education.
Akita is the cavalry trained crocodilian in your small army. As always Big Mac and Bella are great to watch. That sound they make when they shut their mouth on food is sobering. It was great to see Rachel who knows so much about foxes!
10:38 So cool I love behavioral science, Big Mac wants all the 🍔's to himself haha Smart Alligators and Crocodilians, Another awesome training video 💚💙🐊🔥💣
Bigmac was like “me, Bella, me, Bella, now Bella Bella Bella, that’s unfair, go back Bella it’s my turn” im impressed by how Akira has calmed down in this only couple months. I’d love to donate but unfortunately my bad financial situation is.. but maybe I can a bit! Edit: I love the name “Shippo”, that means a tail in Japanese. Much love and respect from Tokyo
Akila 🐊 pushing the boundaries 🥴 Big Mac 🐊 & Bella 🐊 really settled into the feeding behaviour. It's so relaxing watching you feed all the other fur babies & piggies ♥️
Amazing skills especially when you have multiple gators to watch. Such progress in such a short time. Your self-taught skills are incredible to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome vlog today Chris Thank you filled with so much of info!! It's so awesome how well you're doing training the foxes and all the animals. excited to see what you guys choose to do next with the foxes. Please be safe with Hurricane coming you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks again appreciate you guys!!!!
It was very educational listening to Rachel the behaviourist Chris. As always it's a pleasure watching your interactions with all the animals & your knowledge of working with them..♥️
You should have named Bella and Mac "Ozzie & Harriet". They are such a goofy couple! One guy said they need their own TV show. I agree 100% ! He's the goody 2 shoes jock and she's the bad girl that's always getting in to trouble! The Odd Couple for sure 😂❤
Your training is fascinating as well as the fox trainer. She mentioned fur trade and I get so damn mad. I belong to the Humane Society and I thought they were on top of that. SO much work to be done for these beautiful animals. Thank you for what you and Gabby do.
Akila is one of those animals that has beauty in her deleterious nature…like Cleopatra queen of the Nile or Countess Elizabeth Báthory of Hungaria. The knowledge that she is a Nile’s Croc makes you anticipate some sinister behaviors. It is very interesting learning from your animal behaviorist ..
It’s interesting how the female crocodiles are more aggressive than the males when it comes to training. Akila, Bella, Miss Toothy, Blondie are all female crocodiles that are more aggressive than the males in their training. I wonder if it’s because they’re smaller and feel less secure than the males? Like you can see the confidence in Big Mac, Aries, and Sultan-all big male crocodilians. I wonder if their size makes them more confident and able to be calmer for training?
All I know is she’s behaving over here cause when she was in Gator land she was the one trying to get savanna 😅🤣She was jumping high up a few times wanting that chicken dinner 🤣She definitely has that crazy side in her for sure and she always looks like she’s calculating 😅Where are the Emus? I miss them

Oh cool; the only wild armadillos I've seen are unfortunately roadkill! I'm having to watch this in bits around everything I have to do this weekend. Just leaving it open on my computer - so that's why my comments are staggered out. Figured it doesn't hurt the algorithm anyway. Hope you are all surviving today's weather down there.
Akila is so scary That is nothing but a dangerous animal right there. I’m so in awe of their ancient morphology and how they’ve barely evolved over the course of their existence. I have a champsosaurus vertebrae which is an extinct genus of crocodile from the Cretaceous era and they look eerily similar
You can tell that Chris is afraid of getting bit by Julie when doing the pig training. You should invent something to use to get her the amounts of the other two pigs and not have to worry about getting bit. She also lunges somewhat when sitting there receiving her treats that also increases the chances of getting bit.
The talk of foraging made me wonder whether or not puzzles or problem solving kind of things that dump food when solved would work well for foxes since it would be tricky to make foraging any kind of challenge if the problems with sight are not an issue.
@@GatorChris_ It's really interesting watching and hearing you talk about training the crocs and gators! They really seem to react well in a relatively short time.
I'd love to go to school for behavioural training. Shame I live in the states and am poor :D You were talking about Nile croc size. Clint's Reptiles' video on all the crocodilian species said that Niles have been split into two species, one of which stays smaller/less aggressive. Do we know which species the ones in captivity are or if they are hybrids of the two?
Does the alligators or the crocodiles that you interact with during your training. Shared tears that drop out of their eyes during eating or in time close to that. If so, does it appear from the force that applied by the jaws or to keep the eyes wet outside of the body of water? Do you always fed them with tiny bites like chicken legs or something you give to them a big meat like a lamb or so? Thanks
Chris, I have a question about alligator and crocodile training. I think you said you don’t want to bring them out of the water and then have them chase you for food. But I’ve seen the folks at Gatorland do that. Don’t get me wrong. I love the folks there, and they’re doing incredible work to save crocodilians around the world. I just wonder if you have an idea as to why they may use that training technique? Stay safe in the upcoming tropical storm. Much love from Tennessee. 💕🐊
Big Mac has such good manners and acts like he really wants to learn how to be trained.
Bella & Big Mac need their own reality show!

Do you still feed the gators and Akila full size meals like a hog every week or two during this training time or just the smaller meals everyday :-)
We’ve just been doing small daily meals to build repertoire

Akeela chews the gator food. The gators swallow it whole.
just asking out of curiosity: could you put a gator and a nile crocodile in the same enclosure or would they attack each other?
Wouldn't doing a lockout be easier with the foxes like you do with the coatis?
