    It is unreal at the current food prices in grocery stores. While they are making billions of dollars selling food, Americans are having to cut back the amount of food they eat or go hungry. Something has to be done about how stores are charging a lot for food and making massive profits off of it. Food is a necessity and not a want. Basic items like housing, food and gas are items that are needed to live.

    • @heyaisdabomb
      @heyaisdabomb Год назад +3

      The thing is it's not just stores making more profits, it's the whole supply chain cost increasing. Inflation is a self sustaining viscous cycle. The farmer needs to make more because his cost of living and cost of feed and fertilizers have gone up. The drivers delivering the food also have increased cost of livings, and thus need higher salaries. The fuel to deliver it costs the delivery company's more. These costs get passed on to the store, which then has to pay employees more as they have higher costs of living, and then you the consumer pay for all of that. If your not a farmer, you then need to make more to make up for these high costs, sending the prices of your companies products up, and further fuels inflation. The only way out is basically make people accept less, and that will cool demand and bring prices down. That's why the feed keeps raising rates, it's to make everything so unaffordable, that the demand drops off, and thus supply increases and prices decrease. The sooner you understand this, the sooner you can make better financial decisions to prepare yourself for inflation.

We’re actually making less profits lol people don’t wanna buy meaning less sales and as the companies we buy the products from rise in prices we have to adjust our prices accordingly yet we try selling as fair as we can while making profit I understand ppl hav it hard now, but I can’t just keep my price the same being that I’d be losing money therefore I wouldn’t be able to buy products cuz then they’d just be losses. I speak for my store when I say this, don’t think we’re robbing u lol there’s a lot to this you don’t realize, business carry’s more responsibility than not having one

They will just let you die or suffer. We haven't been a GOOD Country since the early 90s or the 80s. When I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s it was GREAT here but that's LONG GONE!!. People need to understand that eating cheap often requires sacrificing your health, and will cost you more in the long run. That women saying how she eats for $30 a week making a big pan of rice is a great example. White rice has absolutely no nutrition and is just empty carbs, which increase glucose levels which allows the body to store fat. In addition to obesity, spiking glucose levels can contribute to diabetes. Processed foods are also very bad for your health. A large portion of fruits and vegetables are important, as well as lean protein, all of which are very exsoensive. The American diet has way too many empty carbs and processed foods. You either pay at the grocery store now, or at the doctors office and pharmacy down the road. You are what you eat, literally. With out the correct nutrients, you will get sick more often, be at higher risk for many diseases, and your body won't have the nutrients it needs to take care of itself. People think they are healthy, until they start eating healthy and notice how much sharper their brain is, how much easier it is to build muscle, how much quicker they recover from illness, and how much less they become sick. Food alone can cure many diseases. An unhealthy body is not cheap as you age. It's hard to eat a healthy meal for less than $10 a meal at home. I spend $50 a week or more on fruit alone. Good meat not full of growth hormones is $10 to $20 a pound. Organic veggies can set you back nearly as much in a veggie/meat combo meal (assuming a veggie:meat ratio of 2:1).

If you have a budget you can keep on track even at a with a dime above those big box stores at regular price. And a 60 percent discount on clearance items. It's a matter of cents not dollars.

      @@tfoen7678 If it's cheap, there's usually a reason. Canned food is often in containers made of BPA liners that leech BPA into your food, in addition to lots of salt and preservatives. Processed food is really bad for your health. Fried food is bad for your health. Potatoes and rice are just empty carbs with no nutrition. Fruits, veggies, and lean meat are important, but also, what was sprayed on those veggies and fruits, and what was injected into that meat? Good quality food is expensive, because it's expensive to produce. You are what you eat, which is why over 69% of Americans are overweight and 36% of Americans are obese. It's all in the food you eat. Then you pay later in life at the doctors office and pharmacy and shorter life expectancy. Poor diets are responsible for more deaths than smoking. Once you take science classes, especially chemistry, you'll realize that's all it is, chemistry. Without the right nutrients, your body can't create the reactions in the body it needs to be healthy.
