- In this video, I show how we manage our nutrients. A custom nutrient mix will give you better results and faster grow times. It can be one of the more complicated things when farming hydroponically, but we’ve made it really easy for you!

Great looking setup, look forward to seeing more of your vids, thanks mate
Am glad i am a 2nd subscriber of this channel...Nice content.
Thanks so much! Let me know if you have any questions, or if I didn't make something clear enough.
Thanks for the spreadsheet! Once the fertilizer is mixed, what does the process look like for adding it to the DWC reservoir? I’m wondering what dose of the nutrient mix is needed for a given volume of water. Ex: How would the fertilizer quantities be adapted for a smaller set up?
To scale down the recipe, change the number in the purple box. We don’t have an automatic fertilizer pump, so we just dump in a small amount from each barrel when the pond EC gets below the target.
It’s as simple as adding the mixed fertilizer to your water until the EC is where you want it. We use the Hanna EC and pH meter but there are cheaper ones out there that do a great job
Doesn't the nutrition vary depending on the plant?
For absolute optimum performance yes, but it's not as big of a thing as you may think. And since we are all in one system we don't have much of a choice anyways. We've never tried growing tomatoes with this low of an E.C., but I doubt a hungry Vine plant like that would do very good here.
greens don't need that high of EC about 0.8 - 1.2. if they had many fruiting plants that would require upwards of 2 and that's past lettuce's range and will get nutrient burn
