That's because the 24U looks better. The Honor looks way too over exposed and washed in most of these. It's decent for the price I guess, but that's about it in the camera department.

The S24 Ultra better software processing/optimisation, which has really helped it in most areas of camera/video. They've had a lot of years to refine which isn't suprising tbh.

He done a test with pre launch M6pro with pre launch software . Where as his S24 is obviously a post launch with up to date software . I got M6pro before launch the camera software was good but once I got the launch software it went to a whole new level. In fact it could easily beat the S24 on all these tests.

You failed to mention that the magic 6 captures a lot more details on the 1x shots. I am not talking about the over sharpening but the real details are captured more on honor magic images.
I prefer the colours of the Honor Magic when shooting video so much more. If you could combine the details of the Samsung videos with Honor's colour science that would be perfect. Samsungs video just looks a bit dull and washed out.
yeh the trouble is with the side by side comparrison the high saturation and contrast of the Honor is making the S24 ultra look washed out, i had to take a break and go back and look at the footage on its own as i felt the same.

I got magic5 pro for my wife and make a lot of camera tests already. And it looks like her 5pro works better. About the telephoto lens - it has 3,5 optical zoom in photo mode and 4.0 zoom in video mode. Much better and useble then 2.5 in new 6pro.
I have an s24 ultra, but I hate flat photos, in this comparison Honor has much more pleasing photos, with a much stronger contrast. Which is quite important, I don't understand why Saumsung has such low contrast, the photos look like they were taken in fog or the camera is blurry. Except in the closed case, honor gives a little too much, cartoonish look .. Maybe little more saturated colors but I like it on honor, but Samsung is superb at taking portraits
The Honor Smashes the S24 front facing cam in terms of stability! How can you say the S24 was more stable?!. The Honor video background hardly moved at all when you were running! the S24 was all over the place! And the Honor is the KING of lowlight photography and video!, I jumped from an I-Phone 14 last year and took the plunge into android and I bought the Magic 5 Pro and I couldn't believe how well the night shots came out! Here are some technical facts about the periscope lens on the magic6. It's a 200 mp sansung sensor however only using 180mp of it. The 3 main zooms are achieved by cropping the sensor rather than moving parts. I think really had they thought about it they could have used a zoom periscope making better use of the sensor. Still I would love to try this out for myself. After all with a 1/1.4 sensor size even after binning the images should be cleaner than rival smartphones. In theory... I would never trust software processing alone. Shooting raw then processing things to a way you like will almost trump prebaked processing. Anyway my take on it, using smartphone cameras in auto mode will make your photos pretty generic. Unless you are going for that look I would never use that as a benchmark. Then you say, then use real cameras then. That would be my thing anyway although in a situation where you might be caught short without one capturing Raw and jpeg/heif at the same time will give you best of both worlds.

Honor oversaturated pics but I don't see how you conclude Samsung is more realistic to be honest more beatifying in my eyes hiding imperfections. Value for money no comparison Honor is exceptional. But for them that money its not an issue I would easily go with S24 ultra due to better video and selfie camera the S pen and the flat display...
S24 is better in video. in Photo honor has more contrast but i feel my S22 ultra will do better or even note 20 compared to S24 it feels like a smudge on the lenses.
