Don’t talk to me about Cole Spicer, Oscar Jelkivik, Becket Hendrickson, Riley Duran, Dan Locemelis, Jackson Edward, Frederic Brunet, Ryan Walsh. Ryan Mast and all of the other more recent 4th to 7th round draft picks Don Sweeney has made Why? Because if even one of those guys makes it to the NHL and plays even 35 NHL games, that player would have exceed all other forwards and d-men Don Sweeney has ever drafted in the 4th to 7th round. Getting the picture yet? Their Farm System isn't very good Bruins homers As for the rest of the Bruins so called higher end prospects right now.... Lysell- Make it or break it year. Many folks think he’s not ready, some do. In terms of value he’s done nothing but lose value since being drafted. Not a bust yet but hardly a can’t miss guy at this point either Merkulov- Jack Studnika part II. Lacks NHL size & speed, not good on draws, average defensively. Merkulov is not a real NHL player. Brett Harrison- Third line, limited winger at his ceiling. Slow. Slow. Slow. Trevor Kuntar- 4th line NHL grinder at his ceiling That’s it folks. That’s it. #NoBueno This is why the Bruins HAVE to keep their 1st and 2nd round draft picks moving forward. If not, their farm system will continue to produce little at the NHL level and will continue to be stocked with far too high of a percentage of 4th to 7th round, late round guys that have a very small chance of ever playing in the NHL long term or if ever at all The Bruins Farm System has never been ranked better than 26th in any of Don Sweeney's 9 years as GM These days it's universally ranked 28th to 32nd and dead last in the NHL everywhere credible farm system and prospect rankings can be found. New Farm System Rankings will come out in the next month or two for the upcoming 24-25 with the NHL entry draft now haven been conducted There is ZERO chance that the Bruins rank will be any better than that 26th -32nd range again and it far more likely to be 30th-32nd than 26th-28th. Proof? Besides well, the reality of the dearth of overall real NHL talent across the Bruins entire pipeline? The Hockey News, a very credible publication, just came out with a 2024-25 review of the Boston Bruins prospect pool/farm system post draft. Here are the highlights or should I say, lowlights.... Strengths: "Almost every team has a strength in their pipeline, but the Bruins are one of the very few teams that don’t." Weaknesses: "Everything, everywhere, all at once. I’m not talking about the critically acclaimed film from 2022. I’m talking about the Bruins' prospect system. They really do need just about everything. They don’t have many young players on the roster who will be able to make a major impact. Aside from Lysell and maybe Letourneau, they don’t have much in terms of high-impact players coming" Here's a link to that Hockey News article just in case Bruins homers want to refute more facts with opinions. Again, not my words, this is from the Hockey News Bruins Homers thehockeynews.com/news/nhl-prospect-pool-overview-2024-25-boston-bruins-still-gamble-the-future-for-the-now
@robertforte6697 1. The hockey news is not very credible. A looot of clickbaiters over there 2. This is common knowledge that you're shouting out as if it's some new information. We know later round picks don't make the nhl frequently, we know we don't have a bunch of nhl ready guys pushing to make the team and we know that most of these guys won't be remembered 3 years down the road. Its fun talking about the players and getting excited about certain strengths and weaknesses. Fans like to get excited about potential and even more so if the odds are against them. That's why people get so attached to 4th line grinders. They're clawing their way into the league and people relate to that struggle and the hope of making an impact. A little optimism might do you some good.
@@LowQualityBruinsFan okay how about every other hockey based publication that's staffed by former players, scouts, execs & journalists who cover the league full time? You homers say they're all wrong too And that it's the Bruins Homer community, who are the experts 😭😭 The sane homers who deny facts & stats or say stats are real when it suits them but not if the stats don't: support their cause, in other words the Joe Hagerty special Also Don Sweeney's hit rate 2015-23 on 4th to 7th round forward or d-men in the draft? 29, 4th to 7th round draft picks at forward & defense from 2015-2023 Hit on two guys 29/2= 6.89% Those two incredible draftees? Steen 34 NHL ganes Koopanen: 5 NHL games Are these facts real or false? They're real but you'll deny them ad nauseum Just like the Charlie Coyle debate Homers: say he's a real 2c look at that 60 point regular season Reality come playoff time: Charlie Coyle's last three post season combined totals: (4 lousy goals & only 1 at even strength -8 for a defensive guy that's bad 47% at the Faceoff dot which again is bad? So are Coyle's post season stats any less real than his regular season stars? Bruins Homer Nation thinks the post season stars are not real and or dumb, which is beyond ridiculous These are the sane homers who say Don Sweeney is the best GM in the league & they point to regular season point totals But ignore reality with the bad stuff such as... -8 of 9 years Sweeney's Bruins have failed to win more than 1 playoff round -9 years as GM and his Bruins have won ONE 2nd round series, ONE? So is only Don Sweeney's winning % in the regular season real and his playoff winning % all lies? Bruins Homer Nation thinks so which again is ridiculous I can give you 7-10 sites that have the Bruins farm system ranktd in the toilet at 26th-32nd and most of them have the Bruins 30th-32nd But other than more Homer based opinions where you deny every stat & fact available alongside actual history Like Don Sweeney's hit rate on 4th to 7th round forwards & dmem, a lousy, but league average 6.89% Ot Don Sweeney's crap playoff record Or Charlie Coyles crap post season stats All the bad facts and stats, all lies according to Bruins Homer Nation 😭 But just provide any sites that rank the Bruins farm system any better than 25th and again even if you can find even one that has them at 25, almost everywhere else they are at 28 - 32 & dead last But prove me wrong Instead of continuing to deny facts, stats, history & what's happened on the ice Provide some other resource other than homer based opinions based on nothing That says the Bruins prospect pool & Farm System is ranked 24th or better. Go!!! :😭😭 Spooler alert those links aren't coming not because you won't try to do the research because even you deep down know those links don't exist :)
Did you even read what I said? The average hit rate on those picks is well known across the league at around 5 percent. I didn't say you were wrong, I said we all already know this. You don't really pay attention huh?
@@LowQualityBruinsFan You lost all credibility when you said the Hockey News isn't a reputable hockey publication. Why bother paying attention after that. Plus it's not like you're not one of the reigning champions of all things Bruins Homersim on RUclips, so taking much of anything you say with any level of credibility regarding the Bruins would likely be a fool's errand And my points stays the same no matter how many excuses you want to make for your savior Don Sweeney or how much Bruins Homer hype you want to give about prospects and a farm system that is universally ranked as TRASH by every hockey media entity outside of Boston The Bruins Farm System stinks. It's never been ranked better than 26th in any year of Don Sweeney's as GM anywhere and their crap farm system is universally ranked 28th-32nd and dead last in the NHL just about anywhere you can find right now This information, so facts, stats, reality ,etc. isn't the realm of you Bruins homers, so I get that it's hard for you folks to stomach But it is what outside of this market (so the national hockey media) think of the Bruins Farm System and Prospect Pool And if you and all the other Bruins homers already knew that that hit rate on 4th -7th round picks is less than 10% And that Don Sweeney's own history of forward and d-men in the draft from rounds 4 to 7 was around 6%... himself And that the only two forward or d-men he took in rounds 4 to 7 going back to the day he took the job in 2015 are Oscar Steen and his crap 34 NHL games and Jonna Koppanen and his measly 5 NHL games... Explain then why you're hyping all of these bottom of the barrel Bruins draft picks from rounds 4-7 who make up the vast majority of their crap farm system again? All of those 4th to 7th round guys... If even one of them plays 35 NHL games, that'd be better than any 4th to 7th round forward or d-men Sweeney has ever selected in those rounds as GM for the team these past 9 years Locemelis, Hendrickson, Walsh, Spicer, Brunet, Edward, Jelevik, Mast, Gasseau, Gallagher, Kuntar, Duran and Hall These are all 4th to 7th round guys. Not a single draft projection had any of these guys as Top 6 forwards or Top 4 d-men. In fact almost every draft profile on all of these guys says they "project" likely to not make the NHL That's why they were drafted in 4th to 7th round, they're not REAL NHL PLAYERS Proof? Um, Don Sweeney himself has made 29 4th to 7th round forward and d-men picks since 2015 Only two guys have played in the NHL. Steen 34 games, Koppanen, 5 games Get the picture yet as to why hyping up 4th to 7th round picks is kind of dumb yet? These prospects are all beyond longs shots as 95% of them aren't likely ever going to make the NHL and those who do, are probably just a cup of coffee guys and not real NHLers Proof? Um, the NHLs own historic 4th to 7th round draft metrics which say less than a 10% of them will ever play a shift and less than 5% will play 5+ years in the NHL And Don Sweeney's own hit rate on 4th to 7th round forward and d-men from 2015-23 2 out 29 from 2025-2023 4th to 7th round forward/d-men (6.89%) Here is litany of other sites that have the Bruins Farm System in toilet. Most of these are for the 23-24 season because the 24-25 farm system rankings aren't out yet. This year these same sites will have Lohrei, Beecher and Poitras as graduated which means these crap rankings are likely going down this year, well for those that don't already have the Bruins at 32 that is because there is nowhere else to go.... I know the Hockey News, Sports Illustrated, the Athletic, and on and on. None of these are credible It's Bruins homers and local RUclips guys. These are the correct sources for unbiased Bruins Farm System and Prospect Pool information. Good grief . Hopefully the Bruins at least give you a free voucher for a soda and one of those terrible TD garden hot dogs for spreading their propaganda I hear Joe Haggerty is looking for an intern. Jackson Edward was a 7th round draft pick in 2022. He has yet to play a shift of professional hockey even in the AHL as he's only played in the OHL to date. Not a single analyst pre-draft had Jackson Edward making the NHL. Not only will he not be pushing Wotherspoon or Lohrei at Bruins camp this September, which is a beyond ridiculous to even start out with, it's a very real possibility that Edward winds back in the OHL with the London Knights. He's also a string bean that's needs to put on a lot of size and weight before he's playing regularly in any pro league. Jackson Edward is not playing for the Boston Bruins anytime soon. The best pre draft prognostication for Edward was that at his ceiling, he'd be a #7 to #8 depth, AHL tweener, kind of guy. Maybe he elevates beyond that down the road but right now Edward is nothing but a lottery ticket that is no where near close to being scratched. He's a project who has about a 5% or so chance of ever playing in the NHL and if he does, that's years away from today

Outside of Letourneau and another guy that isn’t really a prospect anymore, Matt Poitras, 90% of the guys on the ice at Bruins development camp were 4th to 7th round draft picks
You can rattle off as many of the needle in the haystack guys that have made the NHL after being drafted in rounds 4-7 as forwards or d-men but here are two BIG reasons why that’s nothing but wishful thinking
NHL’s historic draft metrics say less than 12% of 4th to 7th round forwards and d-man selected ever make the NHL and even a fewer % have any shot at playing in the league for 5+ years
Don Sweeney made 29 forward of d-men draft picks in rounds 4 through 7 from 2015 through 2023:

34 games: Oscar Steen
5 games: Jonna Koppanen
That's it!!!
So not a single one of the forward or d-men Don Sweeney drafted from 2015-2023 has played even 50 NHL games.

Don’t talk to me about Cole Spicer, Oscar Jelkivik, Becket Hendrickson, Riley Duran, Dan Locemelis, Jackson Edward, Frederic Brunet, Ryan Walsh. Ryan Mast and all of the other more recent 4th to 7th round draft picks Don Sweeney has made
Why?
Because if even one of those guys makes it to the NHL and plays even 35 NHL games, that player would have exceed all other forwards and d-men Don Sweeney has ever drafted in the 4th to 7th round.
Getting the picture yet?
Their Farm System isn't very good Bruins homers
As for the rest of the Bruins so called higher end prospects right now....
Lysell- Make it or break it year. Many folks think he’s not ready, some do. In terms of value he’s done nothing but lose value since being drafted. Not a bust yet but hardly a can’t miss guy at this point either
Merkulov- Jack Studnika part II. Lacks NHL size & speed, not good on draws, average defensively. Merkulov is not a real NHL player.
Brett Harrison- Third line, limited winger at his ceiling. Slow. Slow. Slow.
Trevor Kuntar- 4th line NHL grinder at his ceiling
That’s it folks. That’s it. #NoBueno
This is why the Bruins HAVE to keep their 1st and 2nd round draft picks moving forward.
If not, their farm system will continue to produce little at the NHL level and will continue to be stocked with far too high of a percentage of 4th to 7th round, late round guys that have a very small chance of ever playing in the NHL long term or if ever at all
The Bruins Farm System has never been ranked better than 26th in any of Don Sweeney's 9 years as GM
These days it's universally ranked 28th to 32nd and dead last in the NHL everywhere credible farm system and prospect rankings can be found.
New Farm System Rankings will come out in the next month or two for the upcoming 24-25 with the NHL entry draft now haven been conducted
There is ZERO chance that the Bruins rank will be any better than that 26th -32nd range again and it far more likely to be 30th-32nd than 26th-28th.
Strengths:
"Almost every team has a strength in their pipeline, but the Bruins are one of the very few teams that don’t."
Weaknesses:
"Everything, everywhere, all at once.
I’m not talking about the critically acclaimed film from 2022. I’m talking about the Bruins' prospect system.
They really do need just about everything. They don’t have many young players on the roster who will be able to make a major impact.
Aside from Lysell and maybe Letourneau, they don’t have much in terms of high-impact players coming"
Here's a link to that Hockey News article just in case Bruins homers want to refute more facts with opinions. Again, not my words, this is from the Hockey News Bruins Homers
thehockeynews.com/news/nhl-prospect-pool-overview-2024-25-boston-bruins-still-gamble-the-future-for-the-now
@robertforte6697 1.
You homers say they're all wrong too
And that it's the Bruins Homer community, who are the experts 😭😭
The sane homers who deny facts & stats or say stats are real when it suits them but not if the stats don't: support their cause, in other words the Joe Hagerty special
Also Don Sweeney's hit rate 2015-23 on 4th to 7th round forward or d-men in the draft?
29, 4th to 7th round draft picks at forward & defense from 2015-2023
Hit on two guys
29/2= 6.89%
Those two incredible draftees?
Steen 34 NHL ganes
Koopanen: 5 NHL games
Are these facts real or false?
They're real but you'll deny them ad nauseum
Just like the Charlie Coyle debate
Homers: say he's a real 2c look at that 60 point regular season
Reality come playoff time:
Charlie Coyle's last three post season combined totals:
(4 lousy goals & only 1 at even strength
-8 for a defensive guy that's bad
47% at the Faceoff dot which again is bad?
So are Coyle's post season stats any less real than his regular season stars?
Bruins Homer Nation thinks the post season stars are not real and or dumb, which is beyond ridiculous
These are the sane homers who say Don Sweeney is the best GM in the league & they point to regular season point totals
But ignore reality with the bad stuff such as...
-8 of 9 years Sweeney's Bruins have failed to win more than 1 playoff round
-9 years as GM and his Bruins have won ONE 2nd round series, ONE?
So is only Don Sweeney's winning % in the regular season real and his playoff winning % all lies?
Bruins Homer Nation thinks so which again is ridiculous
I can give you 7-10 sites that have the Bruins farm system ranktd in the toilet at 26th-32nd and most of them have the Bruins 30th-32nd
But other than more Homer based opinions where you deny every stat & fact available alongside actual history
Like Don Sweeney's hit rate on 4th to 7th round forwards & dmem, a lousy, but league average 6.89%
Ot Don Sweeney's crap playoff record
Or Charlie Coyles crap post season stats
All the bad facts and stats, all lies according to Bruins Homer Nation 😭
But just provide any sites that rank the Bruins farm system any better than 25th and again even if you can find even one that has them at 25, almost everywhere else they are at 28 - 32 & dead last
But prove me wrong
Instead of continuing to deny facts, stats, history & what's happened on the ice
Provide some other resource other than homer based opinions based on nothing
That says the Bruins prospect pool & Farm System is ranked 24th or better.
Go!!! :😭😭
Spooler alert those links aren't coming not because you won't try to do the research because even you deep down know those links don't exist :)
Plus it's not like you're not one of the reigning champions of all things Bruins Homersim on RUclips, so taking much of anything you say with any level of credibility regarding the Bruins would likely be a fool's errand
And my points stays the same no matter how many excuses you want to make for your savior Don Sweeney or how much Bruins Homer hype you want to give about prospects and a farm system that is universally ranked as TRASH by every hockey media entity outside of Boston
The Bruins Farm System stinks.
It's never been ranked better than 26th in any year of Don Sweeney's as GM anywhere and their crap farm system is universally ranked 28th-32nd and dead last in the NHL just about anywhere you can find right now
This information, so facts, stats, reality ,etc. isn't the realm of you Bruins homers, so I get that it's hard for you folks to stomach
But it is what outside of this market (so the national hockey media) think of the Bruins Farm System and Prospect Pool
And if you and all the other Bruins homers already knew that that hit rate on 4th -7th round picks is less than 10%
And that Don Sweeney's own history of forward and d-men in the draft from rounds 4 to 7 was around 6%... himself
And that the only two forward or d-men he took in rounds 4 to 7 going back to the day he took the job in 2015 are Oscar Steen and his crap 34 NHL games and Jonna Koppanen and his measly 5 NHL games...
Explain then why you're hyping all of these bottom of the barrel Bruins draft picks from rounds 4-7 who make up the vast majority of their crap farm system again?
All of those 4th to 7th round guys...
If even one of them plays 35 NHL games, that'd be better than any 4th to 7th round forward or d-men Sweeney has ever selected in those rounds as GM for the team these past 9 years
Locemelis, Hendrickson, Walsh, Spicer, Brunet, Edward, Jelevik, Mast, Gasseau, Gallagher, Kuntar, Duran and Hall
These are all 4th to 7th round guys.
Not a single draft projection had any of these guys as Top 6 forwards or Top 4 d-men. In fact almost every draft profile on all of these guys says they "project" likely to not make the NHL
That's why they were drafted in 4th to 7th round, they're not REAL NHL PLAYERS
Proof? Um, Don Sweeney himself has made 29 4th to 7th round forward and d-men picks since 2015
Only two guys have played in the NHL. Steen 34 games, Koppanen, 5 games
Get the picture yet as to why hyping up 4th to 7th round picks is kind of dumb yet?
These prospects are all beyond longs shots as 95% of them aren't likely ever going to make the NHL and those who do, are probably just a cup of coffee guys and not real NHLers
Proof?
Um, the NHLs own historic 4th to 7th round draft metrics which say less than a 10% of them will ever play a shift and less than 5% will play 5+ years in the NHL
And Don Sweeney's own hit rate on 4th to 7th round forward and d-men from 2015-23
2 out 29 from 2025-2023 4th to 7th round forward/d-men (6.89%)
Here is litany of other sites that have the Bruins Farm System in toilet.
None of these are credible
It's Bruins homers and local RUclips guys. These are the correct sources for unbiased Bruins Farm System and Prospect Pool information. Good grief .
Hopefully the Bruins at least give you a free voucher for a soda and one of those terrible TD garden hot dogs for spreading their propaganda
I hear Joe Haggerty is looking for an intern. You'd do great there, as like Haggerty, it doesn't seem like you live in reality when it comes to the Bruins and or certainly being unbiased in your coverage. So good luck with your application :)
Here are those Farm System/Prospect Pool links for you deny more truths about:
Sports Illustrated just the other day came out with their five worst prospect pools for 24-25.
Guess who made the list?. I don't want to spoil it for your though... :)

@robertforte6697 you have 0 reading comprehension. Have fun writing novels in the comments section. Hope watching hockey is more fun for you than whatever the hell this has been.
Sounds like Jackson Edward's will be pushing on Wootherspoon and Lohrei @ camp? Was he that hood or just impressive compared to talent at Dev Camp?
Coaches definitely had a big focus on him
I'm betting it will still take an injury for him to be pushing for a spot and brunet probably still has an inside track on him.
@@LowQualityBruinsFan youtube has made available bruins dev camp....it's awesome
@robertforte6697 @lowqualitybruinsfan I was basing my comment on what I heard from Dev Camp. Clearly you have different opinions about his chances.
Would love to know how much the average size of a Bruins player grew over the summer.
I think someone said it’s about 6.1ft or 6.2ft avg
