The UFO, and the robot were sad if you look closely, you can see that the robot was flashing a blue light at the beginning but when they died they were flashing a yellow light. Same as for the UFO, in the beginning the UFO, was flashing a green, red, and blue light, but when there crewmates died they were only flashing blue. My opinion for Ellie was that she was laying down because she was sad, and lost and dint know what to do without her crewmate .
What would've really hit me directly in the feels is if the Robot pet when you died slouched and had a "Low Battery: Shutting down" visual while keeping the fading eyes on it implying it either is out of battery since the owner isn't there or it intentionally is shutting itself down out of depression
Pets should be able to jump around or look around in confusion when their crewmate is around so the dead can entertain themselves after tasks and let other players know they’re around

What would've really hit me directly in the feels is if the Robot pet when you died slouched and had a "Low Battery: Shutting down" visual while keeping the fading eyes on it implying it either is out of battery since the owner isn't there or it intentionally is shutting itself down out of depression
