I have memories of our old local quartet used as River Jordan doing similar songs from early seventies till close to 1990s. Great inspiration indeed.

Being 3rd 4th and 5th generational Seventh-day Adventists, Bible and SOP! We grew up with the King's Herald Quartet and HMS Richard's. We always enjoyed their beautifully blended heavenly voices and worshipful reverence back in those days.
I was a little boy hearing these angelical song. Today its a pleasure to continue hearing these heaven hymnals .

I'm 53 years old now and my father would have his Kings Heralds albums...so I was bought up with their music. Beautiful...praise God for their ministy and their God given talent/voices. All glory goes to our Heavenly Father

Would you be able to play some hymns with Ray Turner singing the bass part? My aunties uncles knew Mr. Turner, as did my Grandpa, (Papa) Beck at Keene, Texas. When Ray was bass for the,” Lone Star Four with the Crane Brothers”, at Southwestern College or perhaps it was a Junior College then-about 1926 or 27 to when they all graduated. They then went to St. Helena then H.M.S Richards, then became, “The Kings Herald”!!
I have great respect and love for The Voice and this quartet that has a lovely seemlesa!

I have been an avid fan of the Kings Heralds since I was a child. Wayne Hooper was my pen pal during my high school days. I love to teach and sing in quartets. The pandemic stopped everything. Thank you for placing this in RUclips. I'm now 62 years old serving as a missionary doctor in a foreign land.The songs make me nostalgic of the bygone happy days but inspire me to look forward to the coming of Jesus- the center of our praise and adoration.

In 1949 I was two years old, my parents had obtained the KINGS HAROLD'S ALBUMS after joining the SDA church. Their music was a positive factor in my upbringing. I've enjoyed the 49 to 61 group especially all of my life. Thank you LORD for the KING'S HAROLDS SINGERS. Richard Blair

I heard this quartet often on the radio and several times in person between 1949 and 1961. Not one of those times did the audience applaud the musicians. That is not to say people didn't express their appreciation. My parents sometimes took my siblings and me "backstage" after their concerts so we could thank them personally.
it seems to me that more recent iterations of this quartet have preferred music designed more for entertainment than for worship. I'm not saying other people "shouldn't" think of sacred music as entertainment but it seriously detracts from the sense of sacred joy that accompanied their music back in the day.

The voice of all S.D.A. quartets, none can compare to the simplicity, but strong Bible based hymns, and songs!! This is where you can learn real gospel music harmony, who needs all the contemporary music heard in the church today, this music brings the heart so close to Jesus, and does not chase the angels away !! Simple but strong messaged songs. I grew up with this songs as my grandpa would play your song every sabbath. I thank God for finding these songs again I lost track of these several years ago.

Reminds me of days I had at Kendu Adventist Hospital between 1978 to 1981 and then days at Maxwell SDA Church Nairobi bringing back memories of Clement Kotonya, Jonathan Muga, Malito (the South African).
