How have I never heard of these girls before!!!! Love their sound!
Yet another reason to return to the PNW! I am an instant fan.
Saw them at Summer Meltdown last weekend, they were amazing. One of my favorites that played. Really have to see them live! They sound even better.
I saw them at the Oregon Country Fair today and absolutely loved their performance! :D
Crazy how good the Shook Twins are...
Criminal how few views all these songs have...
Simply beautiful and talented...
I'm so excited for Summer Meltdown this year! The Shook twins will be there.
".....One day Rose left her porch and found the water running free
She jumped right in, tucked her feet in and took that river to the sea
How does she know, where we all go?
How does she know, that she has a soul?.."
Currently my favorite group right now!

Keep It Heady!
@Xmenfan14 I think that means you kind of like it. I wouldn't say it was country. The banjo gives it a bluegrass feel but their music is a fusion of other styles as well. When I was very young I only listened to hard rock; which is still a staple. But there is a lot of other good music like the Shook Twins out there.
@8osoquiet I agree with you. I've listened to and watched them many times since recording. They have a lot of video's on RUclips. I think my channel video's with them, along with one's they produced, are some of the best. "Rose" actually is doing alright. over a thousand views in a couple of months isn't too bad. Their style of music may not be what's most popular now but I also think many viewers are much more eclectic with their musical tastes. So I expect their popularity to grow.
very cool :)
How is she mikeing that banjo? Is that lozenge mike hanging free and going into the effects boxes? I'd like to know how to do it. I always assumed you had to take the resonator off and then use putty or whatever to affix the mike to the inside of the banjo.
They made their own genre called "quirky folk"
thanks for refusing American Idol.. I believe it is has tried to kill real music.
