- An animatic of the fully completed Sylvan town set to the town's theme song.
Sylvan is one of the six playable factions in Heroes of Might and Magic V. A spiritual successor of the Sorceress/Preserve towns from the previous games of the series, the town is mainly populated by Elves, the rest of the town's lineup being completed by creatures of the woodland, such as Pixies and Treants. Its alignment is Good.
It is the counterpart to the Heroes 3 Rampart, Heroes 4 Nature and Heroes 1-2 Sorceress towns.
The content of this video is created with the assets of the game Heroes of Might and Magic V. All assets (models, textures, animations, audio) belong to Ubisoft.

Never played this game but stumbled upon this song & now the games downloading. This music is insane.
Hope you enjoyed it man. The graphics didnt age too well, but the strategy depth is there (if u mod it it's even better)
Entire serial of the game has fantastic music. Pretty much all of music (20+ years) was in charge of 2 brilliant guys, otherwise I'm afraid it'd be ruined like games themselves.
Need 3D towns back! Though, I doubt another major, mainline Heroes game is going to be made!

Say what you want about HoMaM 5 or Sylvan Elves... but I think there would be only rare cases of people even having doubts about epicness of their theme. Simply breathtaking, both in times of peace and in turmoil of war...

This reminds me of planescape torment immensely. Those of you who played the game know how dark it is, and that ending is far from being a happy one. This, however, somehow makes me imagine that TNO actually found peace in the end, whatever were the means.

My fav music in Sylvan isn't even this theme. My fav music is the chanting you hear when the music stops. Wish it was somewhere out there so I could hear it again.

Great Music
Sylvan has the best town. The master hunter has actually good combination. Master Hunters are dedicated to the defense of the woodland realms and rise to protect them from any invader. Special enchantments in their bows and arrows allows them to shoot twice before the enemy even knows they're there, and to ensure that their targets recover slowly from their strike. However, there's a chance they might stun the enemy and delay their turn. When stunned, the target gets its ATB value reduced by 0.2.
Academy is second best town, they has a lot of reduced lucks for each creatives
Titan or storm titan is the best creative (I would be wrong) The titan is an impressive improvement over the colossus, with a ranged attack, a magical lightning strike, and much higher hit points. It can destroy enemy creatures from afar, and if they get close enough to engage in melee, the "No Melee Penalty" ensures that the titan can handle that as well. All in all, an intimidating unit, like all seventh-level creatures.
Fortress might be the closest best (along side with Stronghold) The Fortress is the first of the two H5 factions to neglect the use of traditional magic via the Magic Guild system (the other one being the Stronghold). Instead, dwarves use what they refer to as "Runelore", which is a sort of pseudomagical system relying on summoning artifacts called Runes. Fortress best creatives goes to the one and an only, Magma Dragon (yes, this is my favorite all time) Magma Dragons seem to have indeed been built from burning stone. Rock-like scales interlaced with fiery veins provide these ardent giants with nearly impervious armor. This creature is not alive and cannot be affected by Poison-, Blind- or Mind-related magic and fire spell cannot be harm this creative. Nor can it be resurrected or healed with First Aid Tent.
Spare the talk, we all know there is no "best" cuz h5 is simply too well designed and its almost perfectly balanced

Im just curious which towns had the best defenses in a literal sense. Inferno and fortress have rock and lava below. Academy is a floating city. Haven has two layers of defenses.

I don't like it. I mean this theme and this look of city reminds me much more of summer holiday than of castle full of warriors (like it is in other towns...)

"kinda relaxing" theme and look is in hereos 3. In 5 is holiday city. IMO of course.
BTW: harmony with nature? This town needs more wood than other so it cuts more trees. Upgraded druids wear deer heads. What kind of harmony is it? xd
they even use trees as soldiers XP and animals!
FACEMAN FROM OUTER SPACE , well ,someimes lore and actual game mechanics differ(about wood to build a town), but in description of treants and unicorns is said that they help elfs beat their foes willingly, so yeah , it could be named as harmony.
