I will continue this series lol, but I’m not a fan of the new time mechanics. It makes producing the level of content I've done previously very time-consuming. Let's hope they add a 4x speed function soon. I'll definitely do a new build for version 9.4, but this will significantly reduce the amount of content I'm willing to make for this game as the views just aren't there to support 40-60 hours of my time.
Not that I would ever expect you to just play FF, I do really enjoy when you play this particular game. Feels like an old friend when you revisit it from time to time.
I'll for sure do some more 9.4 builds - but i'm scared about the time increase without a x4 feature. I had to edit out a lot of pauses - so it's doubled the time it takes me to produce the same amount of content i was before.
@@TacticatGaming Is there a mod that might help you in this situation? I hope they offer some kind of answer for you in future versions of the game. Time is money and I really want this to stay manageable for you.
@@bongodoug the speed mods cause all types of issues with pathfinding , crop loss, and disease - if they don't code the native content around the speed i can't use those speed mods and make guides as the results will not be accurate
@@bongodoug I tried to use speed mods a lot in the past and ran into so many issues - i had to use a x5 and x10 speed mod to make some of my terraforming builds more manageable in the past and they still took insane amounts of time - the problem is a large core of FF players are being ignored on the request for better terraforming controls - they just don't care
Love the insight and commentary. Something I've encountered now is that bears and wolves will consume a killed person if they are no longer chasing or being chased by people.
I'm about 10 hours into a lowland lakes run, I have about 50% of the map and all of the lakes scouted out. Not a single node of medicinal roots. But on the plus side there's an infinite coal, 2 sand, and clay all right next to my main settlement with infinite iron and gold nodes on 3/5 mountains.
Your FF videos are still the best! Please keep them coming! I've just started a new game and had no issues with my GUI scaled to 120%, strange that it crashes for you and others. Keep an eye out when using hunters to hunt boars! I've noticed that the text of the tip, showing during the loading screen has changed slightly and although it might have said before (which wouldn't be the change I'm referring to), that hunters didn't hunt boars automatically, we know they did. Maybe they've changed that. The speed change doesn't affect my gameplay too much but I can imagine that it makes it more time consuming for you when editing. Hope they'll add speed times four or five soon.
I really love to see you play FF cause you teach me something new everytime I watch your video. Also I watch your other videos but I don't play them... Nice video as always❤
finally some ff been checking everyday know you and everyother utuber love manor lords but i just dont sorry love ff been watching you play for about a year maybe longer and keep them coming please
Nice to see more "FF" from you Tacti ;) The introduction of T5 houses, will, as you mentioned, make builds smaller, easier to defend. That is until 9.4 comes out You can guarantee the Devs are planning something
I read on some of the discussion forums on Steam that people were saying with the new radius upgrades for desirability that it makes natural builds better. I'd love to see you do something other than a grid layout, something with twisting/natural winding roads.
Have seen him rant for an entire session over on Manor Lords at the fanboi's focus on 'windy road/natural building' and their rubbishing TC's grids. It was epic ! 😆
how do you feel about sacrificing some of the new larger reach of the desirability boosters to turn them into a bit of a buffer zone so the housing doesnt have to be designed to orbit those items? the time situation is frustrating but i do wonder if with some of the desirability changes it will help speed up parts of the later game by reducing the location micromanagement to somewhat offset the longer days
It’s all going to come down to tier 5 housing requirements - if I read things correctly they will need to be in the radius of a tier 2 bakery - which I imagine will be large - but I’d need to know the desirability requirement
Something that has been driving me crazy watching your FF videos and those of a few other YTers. When I play the game, there are maybe 3 or so in-game music tracks that I hear, and that's it. But when I see others play, I hear very different and new music. Do you put your own music on top of things or is something wrong with my game?
I just started back up in 9.3 (hadn't played since 7.4?). I full uninstalled melonloader and my mods before reinstalling and the ones I have are working fine for me

I’ve fallen off playing due to the lack of interest in the updates

That’s awesome - then you don’t have to fetch the body
Wolves consumed the dead villagers in my games before this update. Bears, I don't know as I always hunt them down, kill and consume them 😁
Glad to have FF back. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this. You explain things well and I hope you keep that up. Watching to learn about the game before going in

I just came back and now i see there's a new FF series 🎆🎉
I have not played 0.9.3 yet so it will be interesting to see whats it all aboot
finally some ff been checking everyday know you and everyother utuber love manor lords but i just dont sorry love ff been watching you play for about a year maybe longer and keep them coming please
FF are too much better than Manor Lords.
If well placed , you dont need any decoration to reach the best desirability. Only service building 👍

The reworking of desirability to the extent they did leads me to believe the requirements for t5 will be high
Always love a good FF build.
I stopped playing FF till the full version is out. But alway enjoy watching your videos. 👌
I've been missin' the live streams..
I agree with the speed, I get that they wanted to make the game more relaxed, but they should also add the option for 4x speed.
Need 4x speed for sure. But I do get why they changed the time to compensate for certain in game events
Yep just needs 4x
Yeah, that timing change sucks. They need to add a X4 now, I also usually play at X3.
nice, a new FF video. What's the seed number for me to follow?
Seed 38C77825CC6

I had the same crashing issue with increased UI
Yeah it took me forever to figure out
What is seed number for this?
Ahh...found it. :)

yes, devs are putting in the YMC next.

Awesome!
When will this game go out from early access?
Sometime soon - they are close -4-6 months maybe
Tacticat, does the game looks slow to you? :P
It’s slower paced now
hy bro,
i have a quetion, why in my server its v 9.3a, how to make it to v9.3, because in steam not say "need update"
A version is correct - that’s the new hot fix
back to FF.. home 🥲
Mods from nexus don’t seem to work. Do they work for anyone?
They did for me. But I haven’t played in awhile
I haven’t tried for 9.3 yet

44:40 XD
it's a glitchy game.
I hardly ever had bugs in my play throughs (+400 hours). They tend to fix them quickly
