Have you guys ever had a body donated which has a Type 1 Chiari malformation in the brain? I'm just curious because iv been diagnosed with it and I'm waiting for a Decompression brain surgery so I was just curious. Never heard of it until I was diagnosed
A woman I work with has a granddaughter who was born without the connective tissue. She has never cried. They had to wake her every few hours when she was tiny--she wouldn't cry when she was hungry. She's severely mentally handicapped. Non verbal. She's a young adult now, and she'll never be able to take care of herself. But she's loved, and happy.
A TV program once had adults with a severed corpus callosum look through an oculist's device -- the sort you look into when getting your eyes checked -- that had two different people's images in the separate eyepiece. When ASKED what image they saw, they responded with just the one image. When asked IN WRITING to WRITE what they'd seen, they responded with the other image. And no one had any clue what their responses were reflecting.
The way a classical lobotomy would work is by inserting a tool to sever some of this connection. This was often achieved with an ice pick being forced through a facial cavity (for minimal bone to punch through) and into the brain. That is why in many cases it didn't actually provide any real change to underlying behavioral or psychiatric problems, but was still deemed a success because it disabled the recipient just enough that they would be more easily pacified and controlled without killing or causing severe long-term memory loss (except for a few cases).
If anyone is curious to look into this further, search studies on people who have a severed corpus callosum, it’s one of the most mind blowing this you’ll ever see, but hopefully not so much that it severs yours too
Corpus callosum is the largest commissure of human body Commissure is something that joins two similar parts of the body. It's of much importance, as it is a crucial fibrous connection between our two brain hemispheres 😀
The horse's brain hemispheres do not connect. Thus if he shies from the dumpster but you calm him and move forward past the monster, aka the dumpster you still have a challenge ahead. On the trip going home you will have to do it again. Take the time to show him the dumpster in both sides of their head.
@@GreatLakesGirl311 Another good to thing to know is that horses snooze a little all the time. They do very little actual sleep. Thus they can easily forget there are humans around. If they are scared they can run or kick. Either way you can be seriously hurt by a very calm horse who was half asleep when you suddenly appear to him. Keep a radio on, carry keys or noise makers on a loop of your jeans. If you walk close behind a horse put out a hand on his butt before he senses up something behind him. In short, make noise and stay inside or outside of his effective strike zone.

What happens when the pathway is severed? I know some surgeries for intense seizures involve separating the two hemispheres. How does that change how the brain works?
There's a theory that the racetam family of nootropics enhance throughput of healthy left/right talk, harmonizing them to argue and fight less, find common ground, reach a win/win consensus, and love more.
@MEU Hahaha. I was joking. We're You joking too? I missed it; I just got up at Your first message. I have no idea what the capacity is for our brains' ability. I just like to think brains are capable of astronomical abilities that we haven't discovered yet.
I was hoping to see the pineal gland? It's been said that the pineal gland takes what we view with our eyes & distributes it to both sides of the brain, & even down into our, heart(s?) Kinda like a 3 way mirror? I'm no pro but I KNOW the pineal gland is not only attacked via food, drinks, & programming, it's also the SOURCE of our imagination, intuition, contact with our, creator. (At least according to my studies?)
Do you have a solutions how to stop talking with someone or myself like a debate or communication through inner body like subconscious or head voice?I want to know how to get out from this.
It's stale, probably. It looks a tad dried out. Fresh is best, or make jerky with it. Also, it is an adult's brain so it will not be tender like a child's brain; but still satisfying be that as it may.
But the corpus callosum can be separated and the person can still function (almost) normally, it was done to reduce seizures in a frontal lobotomy... there are some interesting experiments done on patient with this condition... it proved the left brain literally didn't know what the right brain was doing..
Could you do a video tutorial on how to get the two sides to STOP talking to each other? My inner dialog drives me INSANE at times and the doctor says drugs and alcohol are not good for my health... Though I have to admit the two come up with some wild and crazy shit at times when they are high or tipsy...
White matter is the tissue through which essential messages pass between different areas of grey matter that organize behavior within the central nervous system. The white matter is white because of the fatty substance (myelin) that surrounds the nerve fibers (axons). Or are You telling us a riddle?

so our brain is like single core with dual thread?
Maybe duel core with a single thread 🤔?
If You consider the gray matter the core and the corpus callosum is the thread.
People who have chronic seizures have had that corpus callosum surgically split and yet still were able to live normal lives.
