@@kippi Way of superior man? Sounds interesting. This isn't an accident. I must search and read this book. It talks about the greater gift? Thank you so much!
Far out! No problem at all, I must read Man's Search for Meaning when I get some time, It reminds me of the quote 'the purpose of life is a life of purpose'. That's the Great Work in a nutshell! ☆
What exactly did that Very Hungry Caterpillar eat that's led him down the path of the Golden Dawn? 🐛 Maybe it was all that listening to the Ace of Wands backwards on the 45 🤘 Interesting that Leo is at the centre of the Ace of Wands. It puts me in mind of Ace Rimmer 🐟 I reckon he had his moon in Leo at least! Another excellent offering from le Kwest d'Kippi!
@@kippi just started figuring stuff out about the Cards I have a question about Reversals So do I never look and see how I am putting cards back into the deck, right side up or upside down? Like a regular playing deck of cards one makes sure they are all Right side up So with a Tarot deck does one just put them together, willynilly, and never consider the orientation? Thank you !
Thank you, Kippi for taking this further into the Minor Aracana. 🤗 Very well presented and absolutely interesting in ref. to explaining the energies in affect. The Ace of Wands, yeah ... LEO (I will) ... definitively., or even ARIES (I am) ref. to the Spring Season and the planet Mars. Still trying to wrap my head around why also Cancer and Virgo. Cancer - cardinal water, and it says 'I feel.' Virgo - mutable earth, and it says 'I analyze'. Wood feeds the fire 🔥in the material realm, whereas 'fire'/phyros as the breath of life, it feeds life, hence 'the spirit'. Respiration, and to transpire as well as to inspire. 🌺 'Happy Easter', too 🌼🐰🙂
It's been a bit of a minefield navigating my way through the Zodiac correspondences. The Golden Dawn insisted that the Ace and the Page covered the bottom right quarter of the wheel, but as Leo was in the centre for both I decided to focus on that one and it seems to fit really well with this card. Mercifully it gets more straightforward with the pips, we've got Mars in Aries for the 2 of Wands next ☆
@@kippi - I see. So you're actually looking to make sense out of it, too? Well, as an Astrologer I can tell you that not everything pertains when Tarot 'experts' are looking to associate the signs and the planets with the cards. Often, the many just correlate with what they think may fit, but then it's energetically not even correct, so it might be better not to associate any of the planets with the cards then? I mean, the suits are 'clear as day', due to the elements for sure. Mars is a uni-directional energy, you know, so the number 2, or in ref. to 'division' it does not work, and when you look at the 2 of wands, the man is waiting, holding the world in his hands. Mars is motion, action, and fierceness (Aries style when associated with the fire-energy) while the man shown on the 2 of wands does just the opposite. The only way I could see mars working out is, if it's something like an axe splitting things apart. 😄 ... which is why Mars is associated with 'The TOWER' card (also as an obelisk and masculine energy) ... and then, a direct hit by a thunder-bolt and all comes tumbling down. 😉 The TOWER-card for me, is the exaltation of Mars in Capricorn. For the 2 of wands, I can more see Jupiter which is associated with Sagittarius, and also the traditional ruler of Pisces, you know. A man watching afar, wondering ... where to invest his energy upon the world, following mundane laws, or his own laws?!
While I'm very interested in the Zodiac, my main interestes lie in the ritualistic apsects of the occult so I'm kinda standing on the shoulders of giants when it comes to the correspondences. For the 2 of Wands Crowley says "The background of this card shows the power of the planet Mars in his own sign Aries, the first of the Signs. It there represents Energy initiating a Current of Force.... Six flames issue from the centre. This indicates the influence of the Sun, who is exalted in Aries. This is the creative Will. Mars in Aries is the attribution of the Geomantic Figure Puer." I know that all of the correspondences were laid out before the Waite-Smith deck was designed so we sometimes see discrepencies between the Hermtic titles and Smith's interpretation of the cards. In the 2 this manifests itself as the difference between the Hermetic title of 'Dominion' and the aspect of sorrow that Smith wanted to bring back from Etteilla's interpretation. With the Zodiac correspondences I had to just find a system and stay consistent with it but luckily T. Susan Chang has produced a really helpful chart in Tarot Correspondences, which has made life much easier. I'm hoping to make a graphic version of it at some point to use n future videos. I'm treating this channel as a sort of 'self initiation' process so, for me, that means pulling all of the information together into something coherant that I can apply to my ritual work. The more I learn the more I realise how ignorant I am but I'm very slowly getting there 🤣☆
@@kippi - Thanks for your elaborate response, Kippi. Well, in my seeing it isn't wise to just follow 'one guy', and we all know that he did not have the best at heart for humanity anyways. I often also noticed, that there are two versions of religious books too, where one is for the masses, and the other for 'insiders'. I cannot give any advise about the ritual doctrines and why some authors personally chose to see things a certain way, but should there be 'two books', then one can imagine that the wide-spread suggestions for the public might carry with it adversary teachings, so to then deceive and being lured-in to use energies to ones own disadvantage? Remember, those self-proclaimed elitists have only hatred for the 'average Jo', so I would not blindly follow anyone, just because someone wrote a book. In my seeing, it is absolutely necessary to act with diligence, always questioning,, and to find out on ones own, if something is true and even works the way as it's proclaimed. Also remember, one may tell many truths but then mixes-in a few lies. There are the laws of physics in this realm, or call it 'universe' and many of these re-known people have been Alchemists, too. So right here, symbolism pertains a lot to how to mix one component with any other, also in ref. to the Law of Resonance, the Law of Polarity, and so forth.... with a certain and desired out-come. Astrology is a language on its own, and when dealing with the Tarot it is advisable to not 'mix apples with pears', or to forcefully 'make things fit' you know. The Devil is in the details, and often people are mentally stirred away from sticking with the obvious, falling into rabbit-holes where they never find back out. Anyhow. I am wishing you much 🍀and good vibes ☀ on your journey. 🙂
I agree that it would be unwise to follow a single source, that's why I always include quotes from a varied collection of authors. Crowley took his Zodiac correspondences from the Golden Dawn who, in turn, based them on the Cipher Manuscripts, which were translated by Samuel MacGregor Mathers. I appreciate that people can be somewhat wary of Crowley, however he's made an enormous contribution to the field of Ritual Magick and the Thoth deck, while not my favourite, is hugely popular and used by many readers. For this reason, as an aspiring occultist, I'm obliged to include his perspective along with those of many others in my research.
I was reading a book called 'Man's search for meaning', and I saw your video came up!
Anyways, you brought many friends here. Impressive!
