    I noticed you weren't sent back to the menu after destroying the dark gem until you grabbed the light gem.

    Thank goodness they got different music composers, I’ve always found these beta tracks to be so painfully generic. They also don’t feel Spyro-ish to me at all. Not sure what it makes me think of, but definitely not Spyro.
    The random bumps on the wall look....odd. Just doesn’t look good. Glad that was changed as well.
    I find stuff like this just so interesting, sure, many are placeholders, but others are “what could have been”.
    I’m forever so glad that Ember and Flame were added to the final version of the game, it’s just so interesting meeting other dragons Spyro’s age, and I wish we could have seen more of that in the series. Now that Spyro is back....maybe in the future? Hopefully.

      Glad you found it interesting!
      Flame and Ember were likely added very last minute because of their similarities with Spyro's model, they even share the same in-game animations. This demo does not have any files related to them either.

      "They don't feel Spyro-ish" Who cares, it's catchier and more memorable than the full game's soundtrack which is one of the biggest loads of auditory nothing I've ever heard in a game, to the point I was actually legit salty that they changed it when I got my hands on a copy finally cos then there would've been at least something to keep me awake through playing this mediocre pile.

      Agreed. Final music is so iconic and I always listen to them, and to know they made it in 6 weeks or less? Incredible.

    The Sgt. Byrd portion being called a “Maxi-game” may have been something to do with how Insomniac was referring to their alternate gameplay sections (hoverbike racing, arenas, etc) for Ratchet and Clank. I know they were doing that for Going Commando, at least.

    Thank you for going through this demo! From what it looks like, though, this seems to be the same build as the earliest demo that LXShadow went through, is it not? The earliest AHT demo should be the one on the NTSC version of the Spyro/Crash Twinsanity E3 demo disc, but this one looks the exact same from what I can tell. Regardless, it's great to see it get more documentation, especially since there's probably a few things that haven't been covered!

      The build that LXShadow has showcased doesn't have the later dragon village music (it uses the title theme instead), it has different particle effects for Sparx, it has a cave system instead of a sparx minigame sign in dragonfly falls, among many other things. I'm fairly certain this demo is a later build. The disc this is on is also from after the game's release, so it'd make sense that this was the latest demo build they had.

      @@EbbeAHT You're right, I've noticed more differences as I've been watching through part 3. My bad, although this might still be earlier than the PAL version of the Spyro/Twinsanity demo(the one where LXShadow just covered Gnasty Gnorc which had only a few differences). But yeah, keep up the great work!

    0:24 Yikes, the Vivendi Universal Games logo is in a higher pitch than normal.

    You could have ended the video a few minutes earlier, I think. But this is very interesting.

      Yeah, I added the commentary after compiling the video, so I only realized how useless the last part was later on.

    I liked that in this demo the sheeps don't have green faces, I don't understand why they changed

      It was simply a digital copy I found somewhere online. Physical demo discs are often expensive and hard to find.

      The latest pre-release build we have access to is the August 3rd 2004 prototype build, which you can find on HiddenPalace.org.
      The build shown in the video is the latest DEMO build, though.

    Надеюсь увидите мой комментарий. Прошу сделать короткое видео с небом из демо-версии. Не знаю, почему, но вижу в этом что то интересное, как будто в демо версии небо более атмосферное и детализированное (конкретно фиолетовые тучи - они двигаются)
