With how mainstream K-Pop is becoming it makes sense why so many groups are being formed and trying their luck out in the industry, the chances of being successful (regardless of whether you are from a small company or not) are a lot more larger than it was 3-4 years ago. K-Pop becoming mainstream means a higher rate of success while it also being easier, however with that comes a lot of other problems such as more debt and more and more people entering the industry at extremely young ages. usually companies buy them from producers or they have in-house producers (like RBW), idols don't get much say in line distribution at all, what some (not all) do is that everyone will record the entire song then the producer will pick who suits what part best. For choreography the company will find a studio/choreographer to make it for them and the choreographer (or dancers from their company) will teach the idols! Sometimes a company will also get multiple different choreographs to make it to the same song and they pick and choose parts they want! and if wanted they can make modifications that they think suits it better! (thats why theres difference when you watch demos vs the official dance practice)! idols don't get much of a say, in also the concept and outfits they dont get much of a say either especially if theyre rookie groups but eventually it's possible to have a bit of input!

Most dont have a choice, it depends on the company. Both for the disadvantages and advantages, you are the only one who can promote yourself as with group all members can promote the group, the reason why they decline is the amount of money going into them is fairly similar but unless you are multi talented and well rounded its hard to debut as a solo singer which is why they debut in a group first and get more experience and then go solo

I really like this series, thank you for continuing making these videos. I'd like to ask you if you know anything about foreign members getting way less money than their Korean counterparts, for example I've seen multiple times that Thai idols get as low as 1/6 of the earnings that they would have if they were Korean nationals and if that happens to other nationalities too. Also do you happen to know whether SM revised its earning distribution system since 2018 and what are the percentages for digital sales since they are now the vast majority of the musical sales nowadays. I completely understand if you don't have informations about these topics, I'm just curious.
Just watch the confession of Crayon Pop then came here... Then i came to a conclusion that being a kpop idol is like being in jail without bars, waiting for their freedom or worst is execution, which is suicide... I just hope that someday companies should take them as humans and not just some cash machines ...
This makes me curious about the terms of Red Velvet’s new SM contract. The members all live in a house together, so I assume(?) they get along. I assume they also get paid reasonably well(?). Also, what will happen with Twice’s contract renewal next year? It must be hard to get 9 girls in their 20s to all get along (it seems like they are chill people, but that may just be them acting). I wonder if JYP will offer separate group and individual contract arrangements. Their music videos are such high quality - it would be a shame if they broke up.
14:00 i have yet to hear any former idol admit that not having the freedom to be sexually active was a reason for leaving, even though it's a highly probable reason for many young artists. idols enter the business during the most exploratory part of their youth, when puberty is a minefield of hormones and curiosity. imagine you're in that phase, exposed to all those really attractive (and famous) fellow artists, with a temptation to interact but no permission to do so, and trapped in a prison of chaperones and security cameras. you're either going to find a way to make something happen, or you'll fucking go nuts. i myself was a complete animal at that age. some survive the business long enough to earn their freedom. but of those who weren't successful enough to do so, and have left the business altogether, more than a few would privately admit it was because they wanted to get their freak on but couldn't. if you don't believe me, look at artists who have left their company to become independent or have retired altogether, and tell me some of them don't have a whole different energy compared to before. they look, act, talk, and even walk differently. it's the kind of change you see in young people who have crossed over the bridge. and now that i've pointed it out, you'll never be able to un-see it.👍
I want to ask a question about: Are you a kpop idol before and if you are a kpop idol then from which group you are? Because I am a new kpop fan and you know almost everything about kpop idols.
Hey Beanie, can you do a video where you talk about some works you can do in a company? I know you already did it but maybe another one with maybe more type of jobs you can do? 🥺
Imagine one member is popular and bringing in money for herself and her debt being taken care of but the other members are promoting that popular member and going further into debt. That sounds horrible.
Is there an instance or is it possilbe that the renewal of the contract of the kpop idols are dependent on the votes of like the ceos of the shareholders of that company? And also i’m looking forward for kpop throwback thursday maybe you can consider a topic about the kpop environment/culture in the old gen as compared to the new gen like is if more stricter now than it is before?

I just really wanna know I'm kinda losing hope I'm trying my best to get rid of it and practicing hard please lemme know
@soobeanie_
I completely understand if you don't have informations about these topics, I'm just curious.
this was amazing and so ensightful . thnks so much :)
Just watch the confession of Crayon Pop then came here... Then i came to a conclusion that being a kpop idol is like being in jail without bars, waiting for their freedom or worst is execution, which is suicide... I just hope that someday companies should take them as humans and not just some cash machines
...
OMG so true 😣...... The execution thing hit hard 🥺🥺🥺
Congratulations on 200k subscribers!

❤️❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️❤️
interesting i like all music and kpop is special style i do not know much about this but your videos are interesting thank you :)
14:00 i have yet to hear any former idol admit that not having the freedom to be sexually active was a reason for leaving, even though it's a highly probable reason for many young artists. idols enter the business during the most exploratory part of their youth, when puberty is a minefield of hormones and curiosity. imagine you're in that phase, exposed to all those really attractive (and famous) fellow artists, with a temptation to interact but no permission to do so, and trapped in a prison of chaperones and security cameras. you're either going to find a way to make something happen, or you'll fucking go nuts. i myself was a complete animal at that age. some survive the business long enough to earn their freedom. but of those who weren't successful enough to do so, and have left the business altogether, more than a few would privately admit it was because they wanted to get their freak on but couldn't. if you don't believe me, look at artists who have left their company to become independent or have retired altogether, and tell me some of them don't have a whole different energy compared to before. they look, act, talk, and even walk differently. it's the kind of change you see in young people who have crossed over the bridge.
and now that i've pointed it out, you'll never be able to un-see it.👍
btw beans feel free to touch on this topic in future videos.👍
Thanks for always being so attentive in my video content, the reason why they dont re-sign is endless....
do these kpop idol groups fight between themselves and if they do what are the most common fights about?...thanks for sharing interesting videos
To which company have u been working for?
언니 if you have a lot of wounds or wounds scars in your legs hands or body is it ok or you shouldn't have a single scar/scratch in your body
Happy New year!! You've gained a new subscriber
I wanna know next what groups aren't famouse cuz I wanna know
Will you do reaction also for korean rap/hiphop songs or something like killing verse? For killing verse i recommend Justhis. Really another level.

I want to ask a question about:
Are you a kpop idol before and if you are a kpop idol then from which group you are?
Because I am a new kpop fan and you know almost everything about kpop idols.
I have a question, when u finish your contract are u loose everthing like you dont have money, any degree…??
Hey Beanie, can you do a video where you talk about some works you can do in a company? I know you already did it but maybe another one with maybe more type of jobs you can do? 🥺
*A BIG QUESTION HOW UNDERAGE IDOLS GET PAID*
Imagine one member is popular and bringing in money for herself and her debt being taken care of but the other members are promoting that popular member and going further into debt. That sounds horrible.
I missed your videos!
Thank youuuu😫😫😫🙏🙏🙏
kpop rewind would be a good title
Adding to the list
But they earn from there social media accounts like-youtube , Instagram etc , etc. 😅
can you do a entertainment companies rank?
Hmmmmm this is gonna cause a lot of controversy
Kpop look back ? I love the idea thou 🎉
Isn't wanna one case different because it is a project group from different companies 🤔? I clicked when i see their logo
hmmm... How about TBK-Pop?
Is there an instance or is it possilbe that the renewal of the contract of the kpop idols are dependent on the votes of like the ceos of the shareholders of that company? And also i’m looking forward for kpop throwback thursday maybe you can consider a topic about the kpop environment/culture in the old gen as compared to the new gen like is if more stricter now than it is before?
BP Lisa is facing some of the issues mentioned. I hope this time she prioritise herself.
Please make video on awards backstage please
I dont have too much experience so I wouldnt know detailsssss
