The beginning is precious. I used to sing I've got the horse right here to all four of my children and my grandchildren when they were little. In the movie The father has a sick child and prays to God. God remembers that His hand is on this little one even though he screw it up by signing over his soul.
@@MatthiasProsperoHe's not dead tho? In his 70s I think Honestly his acting career doesn't get enough love. "Curse of the Pink Panther" is one of my fav films of all time.

You're absolutely correct. All entertainers that reach a level of success are confronted by the illuminati and told they basically need to sell their soul to the devil in order to be and stay at that level of success. It's a fact
Sorry Michael! I'll have to get the movie back on the computer, I lost it after the last formatting. I'll have the video up by this weekend, promise! :)
Thanks Sis do you know the name of that piece he was playing at the piano. he was reflecting and missing his family. i think the limo even took him by the house. Really a great movie wish I could meet Ted one day great actor.
Yeah, he had a little bit of Springfield, Springsteen, and Billy Joel. The songs in the movie were pretty good and might have been hits in real life if sung by an actual singer.
Ha ha, I really thought Ted Wass was Springfield when I saw some of the film when I was very young, then, years later, I couldn't work out why this movie wasn't listed in Springfield's films :-)
Actually , it just occured to me that if you consider the character arc , even though Billy looks like a contemporary 80s rock star , his sound and character are more reminiscent of Elvis Think about it , sudden seemingly overnight fame , bus overly involved relationship with his manager and even tho the film is set during the 80s his songs sound like theh are from the 70s You can't tell me Dangeroud Eyes isn't reminiscent of Hunk of Burning Love And finally , Billy dies of a drug overdose IJS
This movie is so important and a lot of people dont know about it. this movie in 1984 was describing selling your soul; to the devil and signing on the dotted line, its a contract and there is an expiration date for getting the fame and fortune you want. this story is the story of Michael Jackson, Prince, Elvis and more

Unfortunately, it is! I love it as well, and I basically edited this part of the movie out of frustration for not finding the songs. :D Only info I have is that both songs were written by Mike Post (who also wrote Blossom's theme song, among many, many others) and John Bettis and it doesn't look like it's available anywhere online, even though a soundtrack appears to have been released.
Ok cool. I've heard of Mike Post, he was involved with quite a number of popular t.v. shows. I wonder who is actually singing the Billy Wayne songs, kind of doubt Ted did, but would be cool if he had!
He sure did sing them! :) Ted started his career as a rock musician, played the lead in Grease on Broadway and sang a few times on Blossom as well. He's wonderful! You can see him do it live in this video from his pre-Soap days. ruclips.net/video/hKMn7_yxETI/видео.html
***** I searched and searched but have never found them either... Ended up making an MP3 out of the scene, but it definitely would be much nicer to have the actual soundtrack.
I'm with you, that's a great song he sings on stage. I also loved how he nervously entered the song. Great performance. This actor had no problem showing vulnerability. I figure that most actors just want to be cool all the time.
Explain this: My grandfather, who worked for the Warner Bros. movie studio, knew George Burns fairly well. My family lived in the same town as Linda Blair when I was a kid; my older brother actually was invited to her house by her Mom to give guitar lessons to her older sister. Years later, he and his guitar were invited to Keith Richard's house; you know, the guy who co-wrote 'Sympathy For The Devil'????!!!! True story. And to think that George was married to a woman named Grace. Hmm.
Even though it’s a great movie there are probably some performers who sold their souls to the devil too be famous, 😢 so sad for there souls when the devil does come to collect 😈 📑 😮
This movie is Greatly underrated!

I love how he doesn't know the words but they come to him. The actor did a great job displaying that

Ted Wass was a national treasure.

Yup Jani Lane.

7 years before Blossom, WHIA!
Today is his birthday, so I thought it was a good time to share this, my favorite part of Oh God! You Devil. Happy birthday Ted!

The Billy Wayne character always reminded me of Rick Springfield.

Just going on the looks, I thought Billy Wayne may have been modeled on Bruce Springsteen. 'Up to Me' is a great song.

He was likely modeled after Springfield with a dash of Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.
I bet Amy Farrah- Fowler never knew her Dad was once a Rockstar! Years on, still a really cool song, love it!
man I wish there were full length studio version of these songs. Ive always loved them. Youre an internet hero for posting this. Thank you!

They are! It's a shame the soundtrack for this movie isn't available anywhere, although an album was apparently released.
