Im at work on a towboat that took off from new orleans pushing 2 30,000 barrel barges up to saint paul minnisota right now. Just got through fueling up in memphis. You ever get a chance to go it is definitely pretty up there. The summers are generally mild, but ive seen it hotter than nacogdoches up there once. The fall is the prettiest time to me when all the trees on the bluffs by the river are turning all different colors. And then there is the winter. It gets so cold it freezes the mississippi river so thick the boats cant break the ice, so they dhut it down about november/december until march or april
