If you have wanted to install some recessed lights or can lights but were afraid to do it, I will show you how easy it is to do. We'll be looking at the Rollin Light smart RGB recessed lights that are ultra thin and super easy to install. Would you be able to hook it up to your old junction box if it has 3 prong connector or would you need to replace the whole box?
I suggest replacing the junction box along with the lights. It's safer and you will get better performance.
Just bought these, pretty excited! Did this version have the nightlight feature? It is shown on other versions
Mine does not have the night light feature.
So the black & white wires (& possibly ground wire)that need to be hooked up to the controller box should already be right there once we cutout the hole? & if so would that be the same for all 6 holes that have to be cut as far a the wiring being there already?
No, its not that easy. If you are installing the lights where there is an existing light fixture, then the wires will already be there. If you are making a new installation where NO light fixture currently exists, then you have to add the wiring in the ceiling. You can draw wires from a different fixture if you have one nearby, but the wires are not randomly running everywhere in the ceiling. My example was assuming that a fixture already existed and was being replaced with these lights.
Sir is recessed lights the correct terminology for those lights . Or are they called wafer lights ?.
Both names are acceptable.
Cant seem to get alexa to turn on main light without tuening on ring light it only remembers the last light settings when turned off last
Tell Alexa to stop being so annoying!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Seriously, contact the seller and they may be able to help you with that.
You can dim thease with a switch right?
Yes you can. But you can do much more with the free app.
Hi, how I can sync 6 lights together... I have to control them each by each.
@@STFBERNS You have to use the app to be able to sync them and also to create zones and themes.
I have other wafer lights installed already. These lights fit into the 2 pin box that’s already up in my ceiling. Do I need to replace the silver box too or can I just install the new lights into the old box?
You my be able to install these without replacing the box but I would not recommend that. LED lights are very sensitive and the slightest voltage fluctuation could blow them out. These lights have a long warranty so I recommend to take the extra time and replace the box also.
You need to change the box.
Just fyi. Thanks.
These really don’t connect well together at all. Probably will return them
