Lol, "just add this!" "just add that!" "How hard would it have been to add these other 3 things!?" All of that stuff takes up space and generates heat. And the case is the size it is so it can fit in the Tough System 2 stack (unlike your 5 gallon bucket). Looks like you can get 8 of those 60v Flexvolt batteries in there (2 in the charger slots and 6 in the case) in addition to all the non-battery stuff you seem to be using a *battery charging case* for--and that's a lot of batteries.
Plus it actually stated on the box it’s a 20V Charger. Not a power supply unit. I love this little box along with my other TS 2.0 boxes. Works great for all my needs. To each is own, I guess!!
You'd be right, IF it was inexpensive. It is way too expensive though. Its got 2 slow chargers built into a box... probably cost dewalt like 40$ to build that thing. Id buy it for 50% off and id be happy with it then
all good valid points. I'm more disappointed in the fact that they didn't make a larger version with 4 charging ports, inverter and a universal slot feature to keep batteries of all sizes from rattling around. if i worked for dewalt i would be going around job sites and asking what things people who use this stuff daily would like in a product smh
They can’t make it wider, it’s dictated by the tough system half width. They should make a full width with 4 ports though. And yeah the fact it doesn’t have an inverter is kinda crazy. Also not 8amp fast charge 👎
I don't put anything but batteries in my box, why would you? Loving my charger box, I am a drywall contractor and I just purchased the led light box that goes on top. Chargers are 4 amp each so its just not the 8 amp fast charger or the 6 amp one but way better then the dcb112 - 2 amp or worse the dcb107 - 1.25 amp. Keeps my batteries warm on cold job-sites due to the internal fan while charging. I have several Dewalt radios and bluetooth speakers so no speaker needed. Both my radio DCR025 (3 amp charger) and speaker DCR006 have a powered USB out to charge phones without being plugged in. I have 4-dcb203, 2-dcb204bt, 3-dcb240 and 4-DCBP034 powerstack and still room for more and also a couple stored in the chargers.
Those big ass batteries are too hard to carry around all day anyways. 5ah fits in there beautifully plus the inverters are roughly the same size too. That would be nice to run your stuff off the batteries via USB port on the box but I don't see team red with anything that compares to this specific product yet. Also that new klien impact uses Dewalt batteries so team yellow all day!
Does the box have to be plugged into a power outlet to charge the actual batteries or can it be pre charged then just charge your batteries on the job?
"O.K.....😂, This is the part where it's time to (L the f**k OL) 🤣🤣🤣!!!, First off, There's "ABSOLUTELY!" nothing wrong with this (Design And Concept).... IT'S A GREAT PRODUCT!, GREAT IDEA!!, (Milwaukee) missed out, I'M OUTTA HERE !!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
i actually think milwaukee's 6 port fast charger is a pretty good alternative to this. but this keeps your batteries warm during the winter (especially in canada)
Good point about running USB C. Also, Dewalt didn't make it a rapid charger. One of the reasons, why I didn't get it despite heavily invested in Toughsystem.
Would have also liked to see being able to power the box via the external USB C, since you know... They make a USB C battery charger, I believe 100W, with adapters. That tech should have been integrated. Heck, I'd almost be happier with that instead of the built in power cord, but both would be nice since.
And if that was done, you could easily top off batteries with USB C power banks in a pinch. With that in mind, the internal USB being changed to type C with in and out power would be phenomenal because plugged in, it could charge the tool batteries and power bank, and unplugged the power bank could keep charging batteries!
If you don't like it then don't make a review over it and don't just say use a 5 gallon bucket why don't you use a goddamn 5 gallon bucket don't be like oh it's sucks I don't want to use it but you can use a 5 gallon bucket well then just use a 5-gallon bucket and leave it alone with it it's like you don't have to trash them they're a company I mean brother
I’m a Dewalt fan. I personally love this review because it’s only his opinion. I learnt something today about the box charger that I didn’t know and that will probably stop me from buying this. I also have a medium box with a 4 port fast charger hooked on the top. So long as I have power I can rapidly charge all my batteries. I won’t to you all how many I have but a medium should give that away. Thanks for the review keep it up.
So don't make a review unless it's a positive review? That the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's a really expensive product that falls short. That's information I want to find when I'm looking at purchasing things
And if you really want to speak to her go by speaker I mean they don't have to come out with the newest brightest technology there are tool company not a freaking Elon musk

There's no need for a speaker. So, asking for that is unnecessary,
But you are right about the inverter.

Glad I watched this before buying one 👍

You’re complaining about the box not being big enough but it has to fit within the dimensions of the Tough System.
These will be 50 bucks soon when they bring out a full size one that you can actually use as a power bank
they actually have a 4 port charger and inverter
Best video!
Does the box have to be plugged into a power outlet to charge the actual batteries or can it be pre charged then just charge your batteries on the job?
That would be too smart haha. I has to be plugged in to charge the batteries.
pre charged?? you'd need a whole lot of batteries in the box itself to charge your other batteries making it wayy larger and heavier
Shit review - not enough space for batteries but wants a speaker put in it lmao
If you want a inverter dewalt sells inverter with 4 port but it probably can't hold enough batteries for you
I skipped it but i love my 4 port fast charger from DeWalt

I have that unit and I use it all the time but it's a slow charger. It works good in a pinch or charging while you're driving.

The usb should run off the batteries . Looks overpriced if it was 50$ id buy it
of course everything looks overpriced for someone who does not work in the trades
@burntbiskit I work in the trades and still don't look worth it 😐 😒
Yeah and how many batteries are you freaking carrying around a million I mean go you don't need that many batteries
