How I Source My Saw Logs as a Hobby Sawyer - With a Tractor, a Trailer and a Side by Side.

Even though we have 40+ acres of forest, it is very difficult to source saw logs from our own property without logging roads or trails. Work still to be done, but in the mean time I have been lucky to have had friends who had trees come down that I picked up. I also have been sourcing free logs from Facebook Market place where people needed felled trees cleaned up and advertised Free Firewood. I took the straight sections of uncut logs.
Our saw mill is just a hobby mill and we have been fortunate to source enough logs for hobby projects.

Great Wisdom, and not very expensive, amazing how hard word & a bit ingenuity goes a long way. The tractor is expensive but an excellent investment. Thats what my husband said, you think he's hinting around ?
