    Cheers for posting ....How do you guys fill/disguise the joint in lining paper...?
    I Couldn't see a join in final shots...

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  3 года назад +5

      Thank you... usually if done perfect first time two coats of paint do the trick... but if you see any joints showing after the first coat of emulsion, we would mix a hard stop filler... which is emulsion mixed with filler.. same colour and does not flash on the second coat... joints must be butt together not over lapping. thanks

    Why do you line the walls horizontally for over painting? I thought is was used when you are re hanging paper over the top?

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  3 года назад +4

      Yes, but who knows when it willl be papered over... thanks 😊

      @@PaintingandDecorating so if we intended to paint only, is there any thing wrong with lining vertically?

    • @colliedogjoy
      @colliedogjoy 3 года назад

      @@keanMechanic A lot of climbing up and down the scaffold is the only reason I can think of - it's easier to go horizontal.

      @@keanMechanic more joints depending how wide the wall.. only time you hang lining vertical is when it's only one length wide... thanks

    How do you hide the joins in the backing paper I could see them before you painted then they were gone

    My fear with this besides falling off is that when you do fall and get hurt you get investigated trying to get comp and instead you get fined.

    What brush was you using to cut in the wall there? Hamilton pure bristle? Looked like it was playing the game.

    I’ve been hanging wall covering for 46 years and i would never place a plank on a handrail like that. Not only do you run the chance of damaging the rail and spindles, but it shows a disrespect for your client’s property.

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  3 года назад +2

      Then you would not be able to do the job.. we know what we are doing.. no chance of damaging anything. Customer was really happy... they said the other decorators that priced the job did not get back to them.. probably because they did not know how to do it.
