You may never see this comment but I wanted to show my appreciation for your talent with this song. My father was a professional fingerstyle guitarist and passed away this year. I lost my father months ago. And this song reminds me of him too much. I just miss him so much. I couldn't even say goodbye, he raised me...I am just 17 years old, I feel little a girl when I think of him...dad I need you so much, everyday of my life is sad because I can't hear your voice anymore...please give strength to success in life...
I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm sure that he will love you always, wherever he is if you believe in that kind of stuff. I hope you have a happy life and a very successful future.

Believe it or not, this is a true story... I saw this over 2 years ago and my noobie ambitious ass decided to learn this song... It went poorly, so I kept trying... And trying... I didnt stop trying, until I did... Eventually, after a year of playing this song, I didnt even realize how similar I sounded to Eiro nareth. I thought I wasn't even close. This realization happened in the summer of 2021. A night so spectacular, I would never forget it. Drunk I were, sitting with at least 20 friends and family around a giant fire. And they asked me to bring out my guitar. I was worried I was too drunk, but I went inside and grabbed it anyways. Unfamiliar with fear, with failure, I closed my eyes and played the only song I knew at the time, this one. I lowered my head, and closed my eyes. It was poetry. My hand with perfect precision hit every string with accuracy, I was so deeply connected to the notes, the rythem, I almost fell asleep. I felt so much power, so much elegance as drool dripped from my mouth. After the final note, I looked up. Everyone, eyes wide, were completely amazed. I always had trouble playing in front of even my twin sister. The notes would squeek and I would forget the next line. It was so empowering. Now whenever I play this song, I think of that moment
As a fellow self taught guitarist who struggles with the best of em every time I play. This feeling is bliss 👌 I've been doing somewhat of the same with Ritual Dance by the late Michael Hedges. I've been at it for literally years. One day about a year ago. I sat down after a long day. Oddly decided to plug in my electric acoustic (which I never do. kinda just came on the acoustic I really liked) turn on a hair of reverb. The guitar happened to be in the odd tuning for that song from a few days before. I had forgotten to tune it back. So, I gave it a shot. I played that shit so finger licking good! Not a missed note, strum, pluck, pull off. Blew myself away!! My mom heard me play it from the living room. She to this day asks me to play it whenever she catches a buzz lol haven't been able to replicate it since. That was THE ONE!! Lol glad you got to have that moment brother! Keep rockin 🤘
I was gifted a right hand Taylor 310CE , as a left handed man I had to teach myself a whole impossible world , but I never gave up , keep playing and never lose hope
One of the greatest pieces of music ever written for a film in my opinion. The almost clockwork feel to the song fits so flawlessly. You can feel every precious second ticking away and the underlying sense of climax. That this is the turning point for everything. The human race lives or dies with every decision they make. You can feel the weight of the world on them. It’s a prime example of a perfect score for a movie. I would’ve delayed the movie 20 years if it meant getting that score.
I suspect that he wrote the theme before, probably arranged and choose the whole instruments later in the process. I really can#t believe that he would have gone for full organ otherwise
Arrivendel Nolan asked Hans if he were to give him one page would he give him one day and write something. Nolan gave him a page depicting the relationship between a father and his son and mentioned nothing about genre or scale of the movie. Hans wrote about his own relationship with his son and the result was Day One which became the foundation for the score. Only after he heard it did Nolan tell Hans a son wasn’t a son it was a daughter also the fact the movie would be a large scale science fiction film. The rest of the score then followed.
Paul 1 yep, I know, what is unclear is that he can have written the theme for piano and so on, but yet rearranged the whole thing later. In one page of music you don't fit orchestration, so for me he just presented a theme
I find it very spiritual and don't know of any words that describe what this makes me feel, anyone else know this feeling? That sane feeling you get when playing such a song yourself, you feel connected to something..

If you played this for a medieval monarch, there's a solid 50/50 chance that they either revere you as the messiah or burn you at the stake for witchcraft. Amazing arrangement Eiro.
Interstellar, is already one of my favourites movies, and I know the soundtrack, and from the first time I heard it, I loved it. I also play guitar, but you man, you took the song to another dimension. The harmonic dimension. You are fantastic, and what you made is bigger than you. Thank you man. It is a masterpiece.

I always believed that a good musician can bring tears to the listeners. Hanz Zimmer was such a person and I respect his works...whoever make covers for beautiful sountracks like the Interstellar OST deserves to be liked. On guitar, it sounds more perfect and heart-touching than it already is...it's magic. I feel so empowered, thanks to you!
And you know, it’s not only about the cover! It’s his ability to pour so many feelings in this cover. It’s so overwhelming to be honest. I got goosebumps all over listening to this. It’s truly empowering
Exceptional technique, I love how deliberately you get exactly what you want out of the guitar. The right snap the right pop the right amount of aggression. Hitting those strings with a force that makes it feel like it wants to go out of tune but the guitar is so good it holds out despite the punishment. Incredibly played.
So much emotion coming from just this one guitar it’s crazy. It’s rare to find covers as good the original, even more rare for it to be better than it. Great Job
I been listening to it for about an hour on different piano covers. But THIS. I can literally feel this in my soul. I’ve never had a piece resonate with me like this. This might be the first time I’ve ever “fealt” music in my heart.
@Eiro Nareth Hans: "Eiro, there is no point in trying to cover this track..." Eiro: "Analyzing the melody behind the composition." Hans: "What are you doing?" Eiro: "Playing." Hans: "Interstellar OST uses an entire orchestra." Eiro: "And I'm going to use a 12 strings acoustic guitar." Hans: "It's not possible." Eiro: "No... it's necessary."
After almost 3 years of listening and always coming back to it every now and then, I thought I should drop a comment on how amazing this is. Marvelous! ❤
CASE: Endurance rotation is 67, 68 RPM. Cooper: CASE, get ready to match our spin with the retro thrusters. CASE: It's not possible. Cooper: No. It's necessary.
This sence captures the entire movies plot and escense. Racing against time (rotating ship) against all odds... only a human can dare to make the impossible possible.
Greeting fellow enjoyer of beautiful music I must ask what language is it that you wrote the comment my RUclips translates it for me but I am very interested in learning the various languages that are used and the culture surrounding good day brother
unfortunately there are a lot more than only just "1 man real time playing". After Effects, second or event third guitar on the background and a lot of edditing. But anyways, its great work.
@@jkritter456 I watched vids of Mike Dawes, Eddi van der Meer and Alex Misko who´s fav is Jon Gomm. Together they both gave a concert last year (in Bukarest? I´m not sure.) ´saw Jon Gomm playing in a vid, also watched John Butler playing "OCEAN" in a vid 14 years ago, with now 61 Mio. likes, released that his guitar has 12 strings. But, by closer look he played on 11 strings ´cause one string (G?) earlier "collapsed" again and again (John in an interview: "That´s not nice.") so he put the string away.... They all are talented musicians in their own way, of course. But, when vids had ended I went back to Eiro´s music. ´til today he´s my favourite guitar player.
This is a masterpiece Eiro, your grandchildren will still be explaining your stories and biography long after your gone. This piece is an emotional experience to listen to.
Introduced my 10 year old son to interstellar last week. Worried he was still a little too young to get it and that he would become bored. He's never set through a whole film in utter silence before. Usually he's asking questions every 5 minutes. He was gone. Lol. In another world. When he went to bed he said "well, I'm about to go down for the long nap." *well done, self*
I hadn't even considered using a 12 string for this, and as soon as I heard your version I was in awe; thank you so much. This was perfect. It was how I imagined an acoustic guitar version of this should be like.
On my God, I love this so much as interstellar being my all time favorite movie and the soundtrack that was made for the movie is so perfect but this-this is just incredible
When Hans Zimmer was writing the music for the movie he wasn't given the whole script he only had a small dialog section between Murph and her dad but he was told that Murph was a boy. So he wrote the music with an inspiration of a father and son conversation
@Ali BAŞAYAN they said they would never make a sequel. Originally they intended to but it fell through and they decided against it and scrapped the plans
This is absolute perfection. So much emotion in every note, every strum, every nuance. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Thank you for this. Much love and respect.
I play Interstellar on the piano, and boy did I cry from your wonderful performance on the guitar. No matter what instrument someone plays Interstallar on, I always get goosebumps when I hear that simple yet hauntingly beautiful melody. Hans Zimmer is truly a genius and this music fits so well with the father and daughter relationship in the film. This music depicts love, sadness and joy. And it also shows that those three things can travel through the universe, just like time and gravity, endlessly. You just feel the power of the universe. A universe that opens up to you, while you leave another behind.
An the fact that hans zimmer didn't know anything about the movie except for Nolan asking him for a music for father and son relationship... Simply Beautiful.
One of the most beautiful things about Hans Zimmer is the inspiration he gives us all..... you guys to play these stunning renditions and us as the audience to want to keep on listening, Sensational rendition 👍🏻
“I'm drawn across the universe to someone I haven't seen in a decade, who I know is probably dead. Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can't understand it.”
Listen and play with headphones or buds and at 2:10 and 3:57 the intensity of strum should move you. Additionally, the added percussion and vibrato are a welcoming surprise. This IS my goal- to become this emotionally connected to my guitar. Enjoy!
I want an elaborate explanation from every individual who disliked this video as to why TF they didn't feel it adequate enough for some level of praise. The original was an absolute masterpiece and this rendition deserved ample amounts of recognition.
I can only imagine the level of dedication to approach this level of skill. Your mastery of the acoustic guitar is obvious. Your music is powerful and moving, Thank you!
Utterly , These are Sounds from heaven. it's been a month since i've been watching this guitar cover everyday in the morning, just like some medical prescription dosage. And i intuitively feel that i'll be commenting once again when i reach the one year mark. I had an affinity towards playing guitar right from my childhood when i'm 13 years old, and now I'm 23 , and started learning guitar on a dummy fretboard which i've made for finger exercises. Will back a year later with a 1 year streak. Thank you soo much Eiro
This movie is like a heart break for me , I feel like I shouldn't revisit it often because it brings so many intense memories and feelings but I just can't help to do it occasionally, and this is the perfect way to do it
that powerful chord at 0:50 stole my breath, and everything that followed stole my heart. Wonderful performance, thank you so much for sharing with us your talent!
i wouldnt call that chord powerful but i agree it was a beautiful choice and placement, but i feel it was more of a support chord to add to the ones to come. either opinion, i think we can agree it wasnice
Best cover of the song, best cover of your channel, best soundtrack of a movie, resulting on the best video of RUclips. If I could choose one video to give a million likes, it would be this one
This is honestly one of the most beautiful, dramatic and dynamic solo guitar pieces I have ever heard, and as a guitar player the sheer skill I know it takes to do something like this is mind blowing.

I having goosebumps right now. My heart is filled with emotions. I have no words for you. I don't know what and how are you doing this with your guitar but it feels like a communication of which my heart is responding and it is grateful . Thank you for sharing ❤️
Bhavin Singh you must find that light, for it is the light of all mankind. Whether they want it or not. It will shine on all their deeds, both good and evil and will expose their soul.
Everything about your playing is obviously top tier, but what stood out the most for me was how strongly your full chords rang out. A lot of people just play louder but you had a perfect mix of techniques I can't name, with an especially sharp vibrato (which was also visually like a muscle flexing or an explosion, the tension was fantastic) and it gave such a satisfying force behind the progression. Just amazing playing
I've finally found the perfect track to play at my funeral. You're on a whole different level, man. 16 years of being a pianist, I've never seen an arrangement like this.
To be that good must gave took a crazy amount of Time.. i wish i was good at guitar Sometimes these melodies can make me emotional as i grow old, at this time of writting my vision is blurry If you ever see this through the thousands other comments (of a 5 years old video!) Thank you Eiro for your dedication ❤️
I don't know, when it comes to 12 string guitars, your neck hand needs to be on point. Guitar players regularly under estimate neck hand fingering precision until they try playing a 12 string. Not only are they harder to physically push down (especially if you're sticking to standard tuning instead of drop C) they will put your calluses to shame. Whereas learning to finger the strings came pretty natural for me. I could never play longer than an hour though because my damn left hand couldn't keep up.
Hingle McCringleberry you don't see his left hand constantly vibrating to put a vibrato in his strings? Have you ever played a 12 string guitar before? Pushing down two strings on a single finger while maintaining enough pressure on the fret to get a clean sound and vibrato'ing the strings. The left hand is doing far more work than finger picking.
Thank you, Eiro Nareth. Thank you for posting such a beautiful play of the interstellar suite. Your mastery of the guitar chords makes it shine as few dare to even try.

What a nice comment! ❤
But Hans Zimmer is still alive XD Do not kill him, not yet, he must craft more beautiful tracks for future films =)

Introduced my 10 year old son to interstellar last week. Worried he was still a little too young to get it and that he would become bored.
He's never set through a whole film in utter silence before. Usually he's asking questions every 5 minutes.
He was gone. Lol. In another world.
When he went to bed he said "well, I'm about to go down for the long nap."
*well done, self*
I hadn't even considered using a 12 string for this, and as soon as I heard your version I was in awe; thank you so much. This was perfect. It was how I imagined an acoustic guitar version of this should be like.
Yuki Fox When I saw the title I was like: "How can you play that song with a guitar?". So happy that his cover didn't disappoint me. Very well done.
Have you seen Zander zon's version?
One of the most beautiful things about Hans Zimmer is the inspiration he gives us all..... you guys to play these stunning renditions and us as the audience to want to keep on listening,

Everything about your playing is obviously top tier, but what stood out the most for me was how strongly your full chords rang out. A lot of people just play louder but you had a perfect mix of techniques I can't name, with an especially sharp vibrato (which was also visually like a muscle flexing or an explosion, the tension was fantastic) and it gave such a satisfying force behind the progression. his right hand is where all the magic is. That absolute control over his picking is incredible
Hingle McCringleberry The fucking precision is insane
Kyle Gruber yes I've played a 12 string.
I own one.
I'm not getting into this bullshit.
Lets agree to disagree
You're a ignorant fuck. Go play a 12 string and you will know why the left hand is very important.
