Father arriving from work.
- My dear, can I record a video in the attic with my friends?
-Yes darling.
"wtf? you said record a video and your friend is smashing the living room computer on the backyard"
-Did you take out the trash?
-Yes.
-Ok you can.
... Dude, the vocalist totally looks like a dad.
Arcterion From what I have seen on fb he is engaged and has a cat. cat dad!
have you seen the vocalist for napalm death? doesn't matter what you look like the music is what counts and this right here is GOLD
What about Muhammed Suiçmez before he let his hair grow..? hahaha
Dad-core
Technical DAD-th metal.
Love how the vocalist looks like your typical cool dad who casually plays with his old friends once a year
Just looks like the guy from gorguts had a massive trim
Is this band secretly half Gorod??
He works as an accountant for the United Nations.
@@gaylordlegras6909 hes a science teacher
New metal genre.
Technical Dad Metal
Bwwwwaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaaa
Best comment ever.
I am 48, so technically I am old enough to be a grandad.
This should be pinned :D
Allo loisel SES Miguel du 204
Holy crap. It mean that you was...33 when Concealed was released back in 2004?! LITERALLY WHAT?!
Une machine, Dave Lévesque m'a parlé de vous
j'adore ce que vous faites big up
*TECHNICALLY*
The vocalist is my geo and history teacher ( I don't even kidding)
That's rad! Pat rules.
Seriusly?
@@skyrim1336 yes totally true
For college or high school? Like what grade cause he totally looks like a teacher and super out of place in the video but hes a straight beast \m/
@@hyrox2095 now thats really awesome! Respect to the man!
when you gotta jam with the band at 2pm and pick up the kids from school at 3pm
Yo gtfo 😂😂😂
He was a teacher if.im not.mistaken haha
Obscura, First Fragment, Augury, and Beyond Creation need to be on the same bill one of these days.
Agreed! Can we add Archspire?!
Would forest have to do three sets in a row?
Forest everywhere
You can't see the trees...
This is what peak performance looks like.
That bass tone!
Yeah that's Dominic Forest Lapointe! You can check out the last album of First Fragment and Beyond Creation up to 'Earthborn Evolution', he was in them too. But you're probably already aware
He didn't play in First Fragment's album, he just joined them.
UndeadFleshgod I am indeed aware! But somebody might not and read your comment to discover these bands! Cheers
Martyr of Grenth fuck you're right, he just played in their single which is a re-release of Le Serment de Tsion (which also has a music video: ruclips.net/video/h2m_hJczeoQ/видео.html ). Well you can see him live and in their future albums at least haha
Dominic also playes in another awesome band called Teramobil. Incredible instrumental progressive metal. Actually it's my favorite even though I love all his bands.
This is so unebelievably face-melting, I can't even comprehend.
I came because of Dominic...sick band, great playing/acting on the video, and the singer...the only thing I can say is that you have a new fan 🤘🏻 congratulations from Spain (espein 😁)
KROPOTKIN BASED!!!!!
True musicianship right here, I wish I could like the video 100 fold. Respect from Michigan.
well i mean anyone of them could build a deck too so...
Technical Dad Metal
thank you for returning. THANK YOU.
It's so good that I just watched it a second time and I still fucking cried. Sometimes I wonder if the reason why I took a body to live through this hell is just to witness the beauty of Technical Death Metal.
My mind, my body and my spirit gives thanks to you!
LONG LIVE AUGURY!!!
Ciboire Pat! ForeShadow a vraiment changé! 😳🥴😜🤘🤘 Excellent!
:D
The vocalist looks like a typical dad who enjoys drinking a beer while barbecuing a mean steak 🥩
Haha he is everything but typical!! He is more of a mad scientist ;)
I've been told by ppl who know him that he is a high school history teacher.
^^ That's true, he's a high school teacher
4:40 Total destruction!!!! I break stuff too.....hell Yeah!!!
Todd, 48, Accounting, was living a life outside of work that his colleagues knew nothing about
Technical Dad Metal turned 50 Tuesday May 26.
it's so good it made me fucking cry!
This song is closely my second favorite in the entire catalog next to jupiter to ignite.
Wow this is great and the vocals are otherworldly. I need to listen to more of these fine gentlemen.
t'es un esti de malade Pat!
My mind boggles watching/listening to these dudes.
The vocalist is personification of dadcore. Sick bass lines.
love this. we need this in the next star wars
This song is amazing. Just now hearing about Augury. Amazing. I need more.

Most father-like metal vocalist ever!
And I have no kids! 😀
Cara, simplesmente é uma banda de programadores Senior. Só tio brabo! hehehehe
I am going to see Augury a week from today in Live stream concert!! Viva Montreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey ciao Marie, I just "discovered" I have a cd from them in my collection...gonna listen to it!
@@azazel6672 That's so great Azazel!!! This is an excellent band!!!!!!!!
@@mariejudesmart649 hellyeah Marie!
@@azazel6672 Hail Azazel!!!!!!
Simply one of the best.
Respect! Awesome song and sound.
this shit is legendary, love this band since I ever listened ages ago
amazing.. it was worth the 9 year wait
At 1:32 the singer fist pumps his own fucking riff. What a legend.
Really dig these dudes. They still together? I was wondering why their songs seem to fade out more than typical? Either way, killer stuff
Never would have expected those vocals to come out of that dude lol fucking awesome!😁
Forrest is a fucking beast, TAE wins our hearts as always
taking this album so slow when i want to just loop it all the time. rhythm guitarist is an underrated master his solos are so perfect for tech death
Someone hand the vocalist a mug that says "Greatest Dad Ever" because it's 100% true.
Thank the Lord my paycheck and new Inferi just dropped! Awesome guys!
Bravo les gars! Excellent vidéo.
These guys rule. Last time I saw them live was almost 10 years ago with Black Dahlia Murder, Obscura, and Hatesphere. They made me a fan and I'm glad they're still making quality music
great job ... high level ....
This really needs more views,, I mean.. fuck the song is awesome.. And who needs the excess stuff when you could just show the band the whole time. Patrick you fucking monster..
Just out of Curiosity, is there any specific themes between the songs on this album?
Would really love to know what each individual song on the album is about, i love when bands explain what the lyrics are about
also this video slays, Patrick and Mathieu are such great guitar players, Forest is a bass god as always and the drumming by Antoine is really catchy and headbang inducing. BTW Is it just me or does Patrick's guitar look really small?, i'm assuming it's custom built by a Montreal Luthier.
I but it myself to adapt to varous joint pains. I am about to publish a companion twxt to explain the lyrics.
You built it yourself, that's really impressive, it's a beautiful guitar, and awesome about the lyrics, i really think you guys have some of the most intelligent lyrics in death metal
Master fucking class
The singer is like a dad who won a contest to be in the video of his favorite metal band.
This is so good!
One of the best of the year!!
vocalist is a unique dad, legendary heisenberg.
SICK AF \m/ That bass cuts thru so crisp, The whole mix sounds epic as fuck. It doesn't surprise me though since they're coming from "The Artisan Era" \m/ TAE has the most epic roster of bands! Every single band!
wtf! augury is back awesome!!!!
Amazing!
Is Forest playing with frets? Or am I missing something? I'm surprised nobody is talking about this!
Those intro solos are just so good.
1:41 How dare you burn the sacred texts! lmfao
Those are his students' failed tests😂
(Apparently he is a teacher idk of its true)
History teacher.
Magnifique!!!
1 of my fav TDM bands ever!!!! 🔥✌
Beautiful. Fucking beautiful
But seriously, this band fucking crushes
Bruh this is fuckin amazing!.... yall need an AC though lol
fucking hell i can't get over the vocalist and all the dad comments
I dont care how the vocalist look....I just enjoy the technical aspects of this epic band....Dominic Forest Lapointe love you man!!!
Fucking incredible.
Makes me want to swash buckle across the attic!
Wow le chanteur est dedans en tabarnack haha
lmao that vocalist makes me laugh awesome
this needs more views
Gorod influences on 2:25 (AMORC)
Not really, it's a typical harmony for Augury, they use it since Concealed, which was released 15 years ago.
Wow! Dominic is so in demand!
He is actually a founding member.
Yes!
When you go to a forest with your dad but there is no trees. You know that a good music is coming 😉
If the camera were to pan down, you'd see that death metal dad wearing socks and sandals I bet.
I did!😀
@@patrickloisel2435 you're a legend Pat
when your girlfriend's dad shows u a true death metal
Yes CAliss! :)
siiick
nice!
Cool
FKN LOVE IT.!!!!🤘👍
daddle decapitation... lol has a real The Anthropocene Extinction feel to it
presence des extraterrestres
translatio imperii
Epa y ese riff full suicide machine de death
Best tech death since atheist and cryptopsy. I wish more tech death bands would adopt your sense of groove and focus on creating memorable songs first that just happen to technical, rather then technicality for technicalities sake.
❤️🔥💯
Destroying computers with an hammer is much much fun. Highly recommended.. you'll feel better!
And it was my computer...
Not even close to just the imagination of destroying a certain painfully annoying unreliable Asus access point that cost the same as 2 good ones would have... The size of the hammer checks out, though, I'm totally buying one some time soon. :)
This comment section is exactly what I expected it to be. Thanks, internet. :D
The fukn balls on these guys to start the song with a solo! 🍑💨🤘
Ahahaha, true.
Marc Labrèche plays in Augury ?!? :P
🤘🤘🤘
This dad dude can a shread!
He's even better live
It's cool lunch see Augury finally having music videos for this album, but I think (and no offense to the director) this video would have been better with just the footage of the band performing. The rest of the footage doesn't really seem to fit. Honestly when he starts smashing the computer all I could think of was "quick! Destroy all the porn!" XD
The scenes actually underline the lyrics, the subject is the destruction of knowledge (and its support) along history.
Illusive Golden Age? Get it? It criticizes twisted values. The steampunk dude is a post-apocalyptic archeologist in the future looking for something meaningful from the past (our present) and has a hard time but finally finds a shred-axe and some hope along with it (that's what I see).
no paro de reír que mamada! jaja
I wish I was half as good and cool as heavy metal dad
