This is a good tip for the impulsive stress that comes as compulsion but I think it’s worth considering the full aspect. We respond by character and sometimes this is to not respond at all. It doesn’t even enter our thoughts for us to even entertain it and then stress and vex over it.

Sometimes if you have huge stress in your life, it's helpful to break it down into bite-size chunks. Also if you find a pattern with the stressful events, it's important to make the most of the moments in-between. Train your mind to say 'OK, I need to put this baggage down now' and do something to have a break from it. It helps to bring yourself back down, so you're not constantly on 'high alert'. That way leads to madness!
