    I love your videos, they make me smile. The groove in English is called a rebate, pronounced ree bate. 😊

      Oh thank you Tanya! Now, your reply had me confused as I looked up the pronunciation of rabbet after filming that clip, and I found it was pronounced like rabbit but with an 'e'.
      I knew the word rebate (in both meanings, discount and groove) but after reading your reply I looked it up and found that rabbet and rebate are the same thing. Rabbet is American English and rebate is British English. To make it more confusing, according to the Cambridge Dictionary, rebate is pronounced 'ree bate' except when it is a verb in British English, then it is pronounced like rabbit with an e (even though it is spelled 'rebate'.) And the worst of it all? I don't even know what this cut is called in my own language 😂😂😂

      Ha English is such a confusing language so many different names for the same thing!

    Thank you for showing the wood joints. I will try these next time with my saw. Love the basket collection- they are all so unique

      You are so welcome! As I mentioned in the video, I will do a full tutorial on them (and making doors using these) in a few weeks, after I have finished the kitchens.
      The baskets are by many different makers. Plenty of room for some more 😉

    Leuk om te zien hoe je de kozijnen maakt. Helaas heb ik geen tafelzaag maar misschien 2 dunne latjes verlijmen op deze manier of zou dat krom trekken 🤔 Ik werk ook veel met karton, dus dat is altijd te proberen. Prachtige manden weer. 👌

      Ik denk dat het wel gaat, zowel met hout als karton. Of een combinatie van beide. Ik zou het gewoon proberen.

    I am very interested in the way you do the hinges!

      Thank you! I did not take any video of the hinging on these doors, but I will be including it in the door tutorial in a few weeks.

    Again, I love your beautiful videos, I have a Proxxon table saw but only do rips and crosscut. I would love to branch out into rabbits to increase stability and hope you do more tutorials on that subject. I'd also love to see the installation of real hinges! I love the baskets and actually have a real life calico cat that would love if I bought her a full sized one. Take care!

      Thank you very much Beth! Yes, I will do more tutorials on projects using the table saw. One of the first ones I'll be doing as soon as I have finished my roomboxes is a door tutorial which will also cover installing hinges. I don't have cats myself but my neighbour has a calico cat who likes to hang out in my garden, close to the bird feeding table mostly. Maybe I should try luring her away with a basket 😉

    That magical cutting tool/saw masjien...that's really cool. Is it only used for cutting rabbets or some other ways aswell? Sorry for my bad English, not my first language

    • @MakeMiniatures
      @MakeMiniatures  2 года назад +1

      Don't worry, I understand you fine 😀 I'm using my Proxxon table saw (or bench saw) for cutting the rabbets. The table saw is normally used for straight or agled cuts, but it is also great for cutting rabbets and grooves.

    Thank you for the tutorial! Very helpful and I have that table saw, so now I have no excuse not to make proper doors. Is this the same saw you use to rip your floorboards? I loved seeing your baskets from Ludmilla, too. I just received a package from her this week. She has amazing talent!

      Yes, it is the same saw. I'll do a tutorial on making doors like this in a few weeks, I have to finish the kitchens first. How wonderful you've also bought something from Ludmilla's Creations! Which one did you get? Mine are quite simple but she has some amazing baskets, like the elephant one or the hot air balloon. I've seen those at the fair and they are just gorgeous.
