@@paxtonbrown8629 So far there is a channel in the Payday 2 speedrunning Discord, but no proper server I know of as of yet. As for the strats, a couple ideas: Captain Alpha managed to beat this run by giving bags to bots during the securing part. And guards and civilians don't seem to be alerted by broken glass, so actually you can break glass that leads directly to the parking in front of the other van location, which may be even faster than casing.

On Payday 2, you need to put the mask on before doing the heist which is not fun at all because one mistake and you need to restart entire run while this one still have 2nd chance before it break your stealth completely. I hope they will release about 12 Heists on release date to make more variety than 8 Heists which they announced before (8 Free and 4 DLC/Silver and Gold Pass).
Tbf I was thinking about it but it’s not like they would bag it up with bags that are labeled “money from the vault”… they’re def just normal bags, and carrying a bag isn’t a crime. It wouldnt really make sense if it was illegal action.
I hope the devs will add a mutator where RNG doesn't change after a restart but you can't earn rewards or progress towards challenges, and change the seed each time in regular games.
You earn less money at the end of the heist, and they're worth less towards the "secure money" objective. On Overkill difficulty, you can escape with 4 money bags and 3 dyed bags, but if you secure only 3 money bags or fewer, you'll need to secure dyed bags until you have 8 bags in total instead of 7.
@@ImDaRealBoi i think irl the point of the dye is that it cant be cleaned off or at least not without destroying the ink already on the money, i think the dyed bags still giving money is because the dye didnt get on all the cash so some of it is still valuable
Didn't get to try the beta, i've had one question stewing for a while now. Do you actually need the bank worker to scan. I know it somehow helps find the correct code, but when people do the reset to continue in casing, they ignore him. Does the stuff work without him at all with the only negative being you don't know the code on the first run? because if so, i think people are exploiting one thing to do something intentional. Everyone keeps treating it as though casing mode has to be broken unless you exploit this, but if you can avoid the bank worker altogether even on a first run, that would mean there's no reason to ever mask up, which could add essentially hitman's "silent assassin suit only" sort of playstyle to the game. It has baffled me some, as seeing everyone do it, there's just that one section that seems to be the only barrier to maskless with the exception of this exploit, which makes me wonder if people just haven't realized it was possible without said exploit.
Unless you know all the posible codes you need the bank manager to perform the heist, if by any chance you got all of them in a note, you can complete the heist without taking hostage the bank manager and do all the heist in maskless mode. The normal run would be to take the manager and take it to the scan, then I believe there is a chance to open the vault with his scan, but I always had to go upstairs and get the 4 codes from the managers pc. Hope this helps you clarify some stuff. :)

This code, however, only gets sent after scanning the executive, so there is no way to obtain the code on the first run without completing this objective first. After you know the code, it remains the same of course, so there is no need to do this again on consecutive attempts.
What I've been doing is disabling crossplay, playing on Overkill (not many players), cancel matchmaking until it opens an empty lobby, then immediately restart the heist after I finish loading and checking the RNG. And playing at absurd hours probably helped too.

I get what you mean, there was a similar debate with the RNG Modifier mod for Payday 2. However in that case, you could just try and guess the code in a fresh game anyway. It would add another 1/24 chance RNG (if four different digits) but it would still be possible.
He started the game, got all the info he needed, restarted the heist and the RNG stays the same. So you can just remember it. If you go back to the main menu you have to get the new code and the new fuse colour
It’s not supposed to be possible full casing, an objective requires you to mask up to take an executive hostage to scan his eye on the vault door after you reach the vault, but in the beta entering the correct code before it’s even revealed skipped the objective completely due to an oversight.
