Idk if you’ll reply to this but why are there so many different melodies going on??? It’s not just you, it’s everyone I watch tutorials on. I understand there should be a chord progression, a melody, then a counter melody and maybe a baseline…. But what is the rest of this all?? I just don’t understand why there needs to be like 10 more different chords or melodies ontop of the primary 3 you put in there. Please respond if you can, I would really appreciate your advice and help. I really wanna understand, but once people start just adding more notes other than the main 3/4, I get so lost and confused
I think it’s just personal preference. Layering instruments and sounds (sometimes using the same melody) sometimes playing harmonies, sometimes playing different melodies. If a chord progression and 1 melody sounds cool, go with that! It’s really whatever the beat/song calls for
