RIU LAS AMERICAS CANCUN MEXICO - Detailed review w/ Restaurant + Bar Menus - Whirlpool and Sauna

We would rate this resort 10/10 the cleanliness, staff, entertainment, food and room were perfect.
Overall, I would rate this 10/10. My fiancé said The drinks at RIU were watered down but I’m not sure I’m probably a lightweight because I got drunnkkkk lol
To get the most out of your stay go to the steak restaurant
We took Sunwing travel from Toronto. As a British Passport holder, we were having trouble scanning my passport at YYZ Airport. SunWing is a budget airline, but I really liked how you can have one checked bag for free.
It was my first time going to Cancun, Mexico and I really enjoyed it. We went again a year later. So if you notice me having two different coloured wristbands it's because of that.
The staff were very friendly, so lovely! There were always activities going on in the main pool including, Bingo, Aerobics, Pool Games. It was just a vibe! Both large pools had an Infinity pool part. The resort was on the beach and the beach was fairly clean and not much seaweed.
As for the restaurants there are 7 all together:
Buffet - Open Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (We were here mostly because it was so good and convenient) We really liked the orange and beetroot juice served only in Breakfast, their omelette was really nice too.
Mexican Restaurant - Dinner only (We were disappointed with this resturant, on the outside there were some quirky dishes laid out on the menu before you entered the restaurant, but once we got in and scanned the QR code we noticed the food was dull and plain.
Steak Restaurant - If you want to get your moneys worth - visit it everyday it is only open in the evening, and if you want a reservation you need to book early on that day! I wouldn't recommend getting the lobster, as per the video footage it looked like King Prawn.
European restaurant - We did not go here because it was super cold with AC Blasted. Personally, it wasn't a restaurant my fiancé and I wanted to go to tbh.
Japanese Restaurant - only open in the evening. was really good, we ordered the Salmon and it was really good, surprised to found mochi at the restaurant for dessert.
Italian restaurant - open in the evening only. I had the Lamb chops they were cooked medium and they were so good! I highly recommend.
One thing I would like to point out, the furniture style, the chairs, the sofa, the bed is very old fashioned and a bit out dated. Personally, I prefer a modern setting.
