After having driven the 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited (3 times!) and the 2017 Honda CR-V (twice!) as well as the 2018 Equinox AWD Premier (3 times), I purchased the Equinox. I just liked it better than the other two and I couldn't get over how "staid" and stale the RAV4's interior was. I'm coming from a V6 back to a 4 and find the Equinox's 170 HP, 203 lb.-ft of torque in its base 1.5L turbo sufficient for our needs. Purchased the Iridescent Pearl with Jet Black / Brandy interior. Getting lots of positive comments, in particular about the interior as to how "upscale" it looks. There's plenty of room for everyone and the fuel economy is O.K., as well.
True. So many other automakers seem to be going to a CVT to squeeze out that extra fuel economy. It's great that Chevy keeps a real auto-transmission in there.
it has 240 in torque. so when you add about 140-145hp, that makes it a quick little crossover. it's not fast by any means, but i can see a respectable 0-60 time in about 7.9 seconds. which is alot better than 9.5 seconds. the 2.0t turbo is probably gonna be a faster, but i only see that going 7 seconds flat. i think going with the diesel is the better option, and a better value.
FIRST OF ALL!! The Equinex is a family vehicle surely not a race vehicle it's built for comfort & safety! The speed doesn't matter, If you want to compare speeds go watch a sports vehicle review!
I agree. The 1.5 is peppy enough. I don't have kids, so not thinking of it as a 'family' vehicle. Usually only have 1-2 people with me. I looked at Chevy Trax. The seat is made for a tiny female frame, really not comfortable at all. I lean toward GM (always had them) so the 'Nox is a decent choice. It's also the #1 company fleet SUV in the US.
Although I don't like the CVT transmission which comes with the CR-V, I think the CR-V is clearly the vehicle to buy in this class. Better acceleration, mileage, size, and reliability. I would think they will likely be able to compete on price though. I would look at the 2.0L turbo when it hits the market nonetheless.
I have the loaded, 1.5 Turbo and it has great acceleration and Economy, only complaint is the Chrome accents on the Dash which reflects the Sun with the Sunroof uncovered. Love my Quinny.
More than 2 seconds slower to 60 than the CR-V also powered by a 1.5 Liter Turbo. I'm not one to split hairs over acceleration numbers but that is a significant difference.
I think 9.5 seconds is fine for most people that would buy this. And of course, if you'd want more you could get the 2.0L which should give the Escape a run for its money.
Comparing the CR-V's optional engine to the Equinox base engine doesn't make for a good comparison. It IS interesting that both are turbo charged and 1.5L but clearly the Chevy 1.5 is less aggressively tuned or less sophisticated to make a price point. Just like the CR-V 2.4L engine is quite a modest albeit well proven affair.
As of today, November 14th, the diesel is out finally! It will come in LT and Premier trims only as an engine option. MPG is estimated for the AWD version to be EPA estimated city 28 mpg, 38 mpg highway and a cruising range of 592.8 miles. Engine specs is a 1.6 liter turbo diesel, double overhead cam, 4 in line, 137 HP (@3750 rpm) and 240 #/ft of torque (@ 2000 rpm). That's pretty good torque on the low end of the rpm band - a typical diesel trait. Pricing for the LT and Premier range from mid- $33,000 MSRP to almost $40,000 MSRP with all the bells and whistles. Chevy's annoying options package force you to buy a costly sunroof just to get advanced automated cruise control, more USB ports and a 120 Volt receptacle with built in inverter. But with cloths seats, no sunroof, you can get an AWD diesel Equinox LT with decent safety features for near $30,500 with rebates and incentives in the Northeast. By the way, the diesel also comes with that annoying start stop start technology. Tough on a battery with cranking a diesel on and off all the time.
Alex, Very happy to see a tow rating added to your evaluation. I hope that will be standard practice from now on. The upcoming Diesel option will certainly add a lot of interest to this Equinox.
You know the Diesel will only be available in the top trims. 9.5 for 37K & that's 2WD. Almost 10 seconds for an AWD? The price for a loaded 2.0L will be over 40K.
Outstanding review, Alex! Thank you. After having test driven the 2018 Equinox AWD Premier last week as well as the RAV4 AWD Premium and RAV4 AWD Hybrid Limited, I'm pretty much sold on the Equinox. I hope, though, that official fuel estimates are more accurate than the last time around.
The new Equinox looks good. The 1.6T diesel is a surprise, considering most European brand declaring Diesel to be dead in North America while GM continues to build the Cruze diesel & now this.
GM will now have one of the only Turbo-Diesel engines in the sedan marketplace in North America. Since Volkswagen got hit with that huge scandal and no longer sells their diesel model.
I purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0L Premium FWD recently. I am enjoying the feel of it, the acceleration, and it's smooth ride. Can anyone tell me how it handles in Winter conditions?
I have a 2012 equinox...had some issues (oil consumption, speed performance). I still love this SUV, however. I'm shooting for the 2019 version once I've paid off my 2012.
I view it as major error not to make all engine options available at the same time. Some people who want the new equinox, but not the tiny 1.5L engine, will no doubt choose another brand with more power, rather than wait months to get the 2 liter or diesel.
In addition, GM provides 5 YEARS of roadside assistance, whereas Honda and Toyota only provide 2 (or 3?) years or roadside assistance, as well as covering a rental vehicle if the vehicle needs to stay in the shop overnight as well as hotel and meals (up to a certain dollar amount) if one is traveling more than 100 miles from home. GM also offers OnStar with a much more comprehensive suite of services (depending on which service level one opts for). It's comparable to Toyota's similar service (I forget the name). Overall, I believe GM provides better technology than many of its competitors in this segment. BTW, I used to drive Hondas for 30 years but switched (back) to GM 10 years ago and find their vehicles as reliable as any Honda or Toyota (at least the ones I've owned), if properly maintained.
as well as most cars. by the time new cars reach different dealerships, 4 grand will be knocked off the sticker price. and if the dealership has there own deals, you can get more than $4000 knocked off the sticker price. so if a vehicle originally cost $32.000, you could probably get it for $27.000. that's not bad for a full loaded car.
Not just that, you don't need the "Premier" level when LT trim will give you so much including a Sun/Nav package, confidence/convenience package, etc for $28K, competition is in the $30K's for those combined options. Only missing thing would be leather seats and for $1500 I can add those with a lifetime warranty at dealer. No need to go up $5K more to get those.
I am very impressed with the over new look both inside and out. I do like what is not standard on all Equinox trim levels ie: heated seats, remote keyless entry and push button start. I am glad that GM is staying away from the cvt. I hate the droning of an engine at higher rpms. I have seen this new Equinox in person. I like it even more. A few things that I don't like about Honda is there desire/need to make the entire driver info center pretty much all graphics and hardly any real gauges. And they are finally bringing back the volume knob. And Honda's idea of keyless entry is grabbing the door handle. What if you are wearing gloves? Will the door handle still acknowledge your hand?
I have reservations about the reliability of GM products but, the 2018 Equinox has some smart looking body lines. I have never seen any of the manufacturers produce a Turbocharger that lasts past 100k. That is why Toyota is staying away from Turbochargers.
Your reservations are false as Equinox is one of the best quality vehicl you can buy that is redesigned today according to Truedelta. Repairs were lower and just a little less than the RAV4 and much lower repair rate than the Honda CR-V. The turbo-4 basic design has been around since 1990's as many Saabs and Volvos have gone 300,000 miles on the original turbocharger.
I love the new styling of the Equinox. GM has done a great job over the previous one. But 0-60 mph in 9.5 seconds is ridiculously slow for the segment. The new CR-V has the same 1.5T engine and it hits 60 mph in 7.3 seconds on your test.
just wanted to tell you that I love your videos. I'm in the market for a subcompact or compact SUV. Been watching lots of your videos. You do the best job on RUclips. By a long shot. Love all of your editing and video skills. Pros and cons section at the end of some of your videos is very good. I am leaning towards the Infiniti qx30.
I like the looks of this new Equinox, but I'm not interested in owning any vehicle with a turbo engine. Been there, done that. They always have more problems as they get older.
Also, our 2016 Jeep Cherokee that replaced the broken-down mess of a 2013 Equinox was $35,000 with heated power leather seats, heated steering wheel, dual zone automatic climate control, power liftgate, proximity entry and push button start, a panoramic sunroof and navigation. The pricing on this new Equinox looks like a mess, which is a shame - it's a beautiful car. I'll enjoy clueless middle-aged women driving a ton of these around, for me to look at, but never again, GM.
Alex on Autos I really do like and appreciate the information banners that you put up the screen while you talk about the car's specs. No other car review does that. 👍 up in my book. I subbed to your channel. Also, no one is going to be racing a Crossover/SUV. The 0-60 times were originally meant for sports cars and muscle cars.
Great review but I will definitely keep my Subaru Forester. It's faster, more cargo room, better fuel economy, and about 5k less expensive with much higher resale value. I do like the exterior design though.
good review. definitely a good improvement over the last Equinox, but the high pricing, somewhat boring styling, and poor acceleration are its biggest shortcomings. the 2.0T and diesel power plants sound decent, other than that, this is another boring CUV....
My only complaint about the 2.0L is that it takes premium fuel. I have a 2019 LT with the 1.5L turbo and have NO qualms about the power. It's better than the 2.4L on my old 2011 Equinox. And FYI, so far (over 1000 miles) I'm averaging 35 mpg!!!
Thank you Alex for an excellent and timely review. This has put my hopes up for the new Terrain. I hope they put autonomous braking in it because I have vowed not purchase any vehicle from now on that doesn't it.
Chevy is offering up to $4,000 off so that brings this top of the line model down to where the competition is, if not lower. If you buy the LT with every option with incentives that comes to just under $28,000. Their are subcompact suvs that are more expensive. Besides this vehicle is just coming out, so give it a few months and the discounts will be even better.
The 2018 Equinox 1.5 TAWD is $21K on cars dot com where the CR-V is $5,000 more at $26K. Not sure if it is worth $5,000 than the Chevy but the bank set Honda residuals won't catch that discount within a lease period. The older CR-V L 2.4l AWD is still $2,000 more expensive with lower output engine and less features that the 2018 Equinox 1.5T AWD.
As someone who has the last gen, I don't like this new Equinox. I bought my 2011 specifically because it was an in between size. It was not as small as the rav4, but not as big as a Pilot. As far as being under powered, that was the norm for my generation too. I would stay away from these GM turbos though. Anyone who is interested in this vehicle should do some research into the motors. They have been having a lot of issues with the turbos blowing the pistons out of wack or the rings going bad. As far as the diesel option why would anyone buy a diesel in this size segment? Diesel is way more expensive then gasoline with no benefits for this size of vehicle. Let's also hope that GM isn't lying about the diesel economy numbers or emissions like several brands have already done.
John Cook I'm with you. I have a 2015 Acadia, I'm can't stand that they made the new Acadia so much smaller. So now I have to get a Yukon if I stick with GMC
GM could screw up a free lunch. They did the samething with my ENVOY GMC 2005. They decided to stop making the BEST and most comfortable SUV they ever made in 2009 last year. I was looking at your year for my wife. Won't touch it now. Will go with a new Mitsubishi Outlander SPORT Cheap dependable transportation with 4x4, GM you kill me.
I am with you on that notion. If I could go back, I wouldn't buy the Equinox. The Equinox is known for being a Lemon. I am personally hoping that Mitsubishi will make a PHEV version of the Outlander.
Everyone of these RUclips channel owners keep deleting or blocking my comments. Because my comments do not agree with their mission. To get traffic and miss inform so they get advertising money. I comment on all these auto sites and get canned. No One wants the truth which is usually negative about what they are selling or what they own.
The rear seats seem unnecessarily cushy. Trim them down and you could probably get an extra inch or two of cargo space. Once again I would much rather have soft touch door sills than a soft touch dashboard (Who's nuzzling up against the dashboard?). I wish automakers would make note of that fact.
Hi Alex, the seats are too hard. I had to buy a cushion. The interior is lovely. You give a great review. You are reviewing the highest trim with all the extras. I have the LT and it doesn't even have two usb in the front.
Chevy is offering up to $4,000 off so that brings this top of the line model down to where the competition is, if not lower. If you buy the LT with every option with incentives that comes to just under $28,000. Their are subcompact suvs that are more expensive. Besides this vehicle is just coming out, so give it a few months and the discounts will be even better.
i don't like all of that guessing about fuel economy, braking distances, acceleration or towing capacity. instead of rushing to make a video...test it thoroughly, then give the results for Only the model(s) tested.
You and I are probably alike in that I will never generally ask for less power, but I suspect those figures for the diesel engine to be fine. Remember, this vehicle shrunk in size, lost 400 lbs and is now solidly a compact SUV again. The figures (especially mpg) should be class competitive for the hypermiling types cross shopping the hybrid competitors.
nope the 2.0 is not from the Opel division, also the PSA sale will not take effect for quite a few years in terms of chassis / drive trains (count about 5+)
Why is that a larger Vehicle like the Jeep Cherokee(European v.) Diesel can get 45mpg and North America gets the nurfed versions of diesels all the time, I mean 32mpg is a joke even though he said it may be 26mpg which is lower btw. I guess ill find out when the EPA releases their numbers.
There are a few reasons, but the most important is that the American gallon is 25% smaller so that has to be taken into account. Secondly the measurement process is quite different and the American process tends to be more realistic.
"Losing weight and losing size but retaining cargo capacity" is code for "we made the seats have much less room, thus removing one of the mid-size cross-overs with the largest front seat legroom from the market. Whatever. Our 2013 Equinox LT was the biggest heap of garbage, and the least reliable vehicle we have ever owned. Good riddance, IMO.
I currently have a 2018 1.5T as a dealer loaner as my 2011 Equinox is in the shop. The car is a complete dud...sticker is at 26k and no power liftgate, remote start, no power driver or passenger seats, no satellite radio...the fact this vehicle gets closer to 40k with options as laughable...The drive in my opinion is terrible...the 1.5 is sluggish and a gas hog...you have to keep the pedal down to get the car moving...and the auto off is permanent...this car should top at 30k tops...this is a hard pass and GM has lost itself I no longer recognize the company
Wow way too slow compared to the CRV and that price is just insane. I'm also shocked they don't offer a hybrids. The Volts drivetrain would work nicely here
Well at least its not like the Toyota C-HR which takes 10.5 seconds according to caranddriver. It was made to attract 30-40 year olds with no kids but it drives like it was made for soccer moms.
Terrible 0-60 times. 9.5 seconds? Isn't the CVT, 1.5L turbo on the Honda CRV 7.5-8 seconds to 60? 136 HP Diesel Turbo option? I would hate to get behind one of those merging onto a freeway. I would guess 0-60 in and AWD would be ~13-14 seconds at least. Typical modern GM, looks decent but they cheap out under the hood.
if u are looking for this type of car, ure probably not caring about the acceleration speed...safety, room and comfort are what matter for me...and fuel economy, rather than hp
If they refuse to offer the Diesel on the Base Model L then they can take it and shove it where the Sun don't shine. I find it that's one of the main reasons why diesel won't ever take off on the USA Market. Why push on me a bunch of stuff i don't want or need just to be able to buy the diesel option ? I'm looking at you, RAM & Colorado ! 👎 OEMs need to get their heads out of their collective Colon and smell the fresh air...😳
Thank you. With incentives it makes the Chevy cost less than the others, and its interior looks way better than RAV4.
I drove them all too in the last month. Plus the price overall across all can't touch the Equinox.
So much better deal for a newer vehicle with more features.
This guy should have so much more subs considering all the info he gives you.
You are the best automotive reviewer. Period.
John Smelt yes he is!
Thank god no CVT. What a nice vehicle!!! I'll take the diesel
@Charles Jandris
How does it tow? The AWD system?
Props to Chevrolet for not going to a CVT for all of its smaller vehicles (yet).
Absolutely. I wish that they gave the diesel engine more power like 180 hp by going to a 2.0L engine.
I hope GM or ford do not start using those stupid CVTs, I know they do in hybrids
Yeah the 6 speed transmission was the only good thing about our 2013 Equinox TBH.
I gotta say that I'm really impressed with the new Equinox. But those prices are insane compared to its competition.
FIRST OF ALL!! The Equinex is a family vehicle surely not a race vehicle it's built for comfort & safety! The speed doesn't matter, If you want to compare speeds go watch a sports vehicle review!
you know nothing. you just know horses and carriages. maybe steam trains.
Agreed. The 2.0 is very peppy and the 1.5 is adequate...
Love my Quinny.
i like it. its smooth and have a good handle. idc about speed, its useless when you live in a tight city lol.
But it has no CVT lol. And those prices good grief.
Rental fleet equipment
ER B Don't buy this for 0-60 performance but I wait for 2.0T however! LOL!
Good quality review, I like it when the person knows what they are doing and this guy does. Waiting for the 2liter with 9speed.
I agree. All SUVs, CUV's and trucks should have that information in their review.
Even cars should have a tow rating where applicable.
I'm old enough to have been saying that for decades, and I've written to all the car mags making that point to no avail all that time.
Consumer reports lost tow ratings
"List", not lost
You know the Diesel will only be available in the top trims. 9.5 for 37K & that's 2WD. Almost 10 seconds for an AWD? The price for a loaded 2.0L will be over 40K.
actually the diesel will be a better engine than the 1.5t. the one Alex has in this video has AWD, because it's the premier top of the line.
@Charles Jandris
Canadian, aye?
Outstanding review, Alex! Thank you. After having test driven the 2018 Equinox AWD Premier last week as well as the RAV4 AWD Premium and RAV4 AWD Hybrid Limited, I'm pretty much sold on the Equinox. I hope, though, that official fuel estimates are more accurate than the last time around.
Thank you so much for providing such detail in your videos. The Chevrolet Equinox may be one of my contenders for a new suv for my family.

I'm curious how the 2.0 L engine option improves acceleration and impacts handling. Hopefully Alex gets to review that soon.
Everyone moans about price, but you realize GM likes to give big incentives, easily all trims will see 4k off sticker

Solid first look! Subscribed
I have 2005 Equinox, 3.5 v6, but not sure to buy Equinox again, maybe my next BMW or Audi.
Very nice review as always.
Love the DB measurements usually taken in the cabin on other vehicles. Wish this one had them too.
I have reservations about the reliability of GM products but, the 2018 Equinox has some smart looking body lines. I have never seen any of the manufacturers produce a Turbocharger that lasts past 100k. That is why Toyota is staying away from Turbochargers.

I own a 2013 RAV4 since new. City driving(10 min) to work 17 mpg. But highway averages balloon to 33mpg. 26000 miles on ticker

The older equinoxs are bigger but I really wish they made a 6cyl
I don't understand your scoring system. In two areas you say it's average but you score it as an A-. Huh? Since when is average an A- ?
Which is better this car or gmc terrain or crv ? For 2018
The recent Consumer Reports article about Honda 1.5t e Hines mixing fuel with oil should answer your question.

Standard cruise control on all models. Just no adaptive cruise
Alex pls bring the GMC Terrain diesel for testing
good review. definitely a good improvement over the last Equinox, but the high pricing, somewhat boring styling, and poor acceleration are its biggest shortcomings. the 2.0T and diesel power plants sound decent, other than that, this is another boring CUV....
The back end from the side profile reminds me of the Mercedes ML/GLE series.
when are you going to do the GMC Terrain ?
BUMPER Struts
Thank you Alex for an excellent and timely review.
This has put my hopes up for the new Terrain. I hope they put autonomous braking in it because I have vowed not purchase any vehicle from now on that doesn't it.
Good review Alex, definitely on my shopping list.
Also add interior quality rating
$39k is ridiculous for that.
Best car reviewer!
Thanks again for a brilliant review.
I'm between the diesel awd and honda touring awd
I'm sure you have heard about Honda 1.5t engines and the fuel dilution of the motor oil. Evwn Consumer Reports has articles about it
Whenever I watch a review of a GM vehicle and hear the word transmission, I immediately think of Edvard Munch's The Scream.
I got a new one, but I am having so much trouble with the voice command.
Btw, is that an air vent on the right side of the cargo area? See the 5:51 minute mark.
On my 2018 Equinox that area holds the Tools for changing the Tire.
great video production but it would be even better if you talk about the audio system of the reviewed car
Will go with a new Mitsubishi Outlander SPORT Cheap dependable transportation with 4x4,
GM you kill me.
You something on your cheek. You may wanna wipe it off.
The rear seats seem unnecessarily cushy. Trim them down and you could probably get an extra inch or two of cargo space. Once again I would much rather have soft touch door sills than a soft touch dashboard (Who's nuzzling up against the dashboard?). I wish automakers would make note of that fact.
Can anyone tell me the ground clearance???
If it is close to my Buick Envision 2.0T that share the same platform it is 8" I measured by myseld.
Will you get a chance to look at the new Cruze diesel?
Hi Alex, the seats are too hard. I had to buy a cushion. The interior is lovely. You give a great review. You are reviewing the highest trim with all the extras. I have the LT and it doesn't even have two usb in the front.
how long u keep/drive these test cars
Holy shit almost 40k?!
Chevy is offering up to $4,000 off so that brings this top of the line model down to where the competition is, if not lower. ....there is no reason that the diesel should not have a 9 speed...imagine the highway miles.
You just drove the Rouge and CRV. Is this as good?
*ROGUE
How about comparing to the Forester.
Hey, I saw an ostrich there waiting to cross the road haha, how cute was dat!
Try find it folks ; )
Please tell me the 9 speed isn't the zf 9 speed. Please tell me it's not the Zf 9 speed.
It's not. GM developed its own 9-speed auto
masterwhopper414 oh it's the one they built with ford.. I didn't know they worked with ford on a 9 speed too. I knew about the 10.
Woah just realized the front end looks almost identical to the new CR-V lol
If I'm looking at this why ain't I lookin at a 2018 1500 lmao
Low torque is like a diesel!
Pricey for what it has.
When the Eyqinox, and the rest of GM, are discounted they are very good deals for being brand new.
Wow is that thing expensive compared to the Japanese suv's.
Japanes do not offer a 2.0T engine as an option. Plus they are not discounted almost $10,000 like Equinox is.
Test SUVs with 4 people and luggage weight added. Would revealing.
can your next review be a fully loaded Nissan Altima
i don't like all of that guessing about fuel economy, braking distances, acceleration or towing capacity. instead of rushing to make a video...test it thoroughly, then give the results for Only the model(s) tested.
Omg, only 137HP from the 1.6TD in this size of a vehicle??? I was hoping 150 or even 160HP with almost 300lbs*ft of torque :(
You and I are probably alike in that I will never generally ask for less power, but I suspect those figures for the diesel engine to be fine. Remember, this vehicle shrunk in size, lost 400 lbs and is now solidly a compact SUV again. The figures (especially mpg) should be class competitive for the hypermiling types cross shopping the hybrid competitors.
That e-brake is too massive!
I thought the X is silent?
Is this based on the new Cruze?
pedro fernandez No, the new Buick Envision.
don't waste your money
The 1.5 and the 1.6 is desingned by OPEL in europe. I guess the 2.0 too. Strange, since they sold OPEL to PSA not so long ago.
nope the 2.0 is not from the Opel division, also the PSA sale will not take effect for quite a few years in terms of chassis / drive trains (count about 5+)
It looks good, but it's a chevy so there goes reliability out the window.
2017 A4 please
"Hard plastic with a coating to make them feel more premium". Do they?
Why is that a larger Vehicle like the Jeep Cherokee(European v.) Diesel can get 45mpg and North America gets the nurfed versions of diesels all the time, I mean 32mpg is a joke even though he said it may be 26mpg which is lower btw. I guess ill find out when the EPA releases their numbers.
There are a few reasons, but the most important is that the American gallon is 25% smaller so that has to be taken into account. Secondly the measurement process is quite different and the American process tends to be more realistic.
T3 Thomas iij
first! thanks for another great review!
The 1 5t is as fast as the old 2.4l. But if you have a V6 in your Equinox the 2.0T is even faster.
Wow way too slow compared to the CRV and that price is just insane. I'm also shocked they don't offer a hybrids. The Volts drivetrain would work nicely here
Nice car... But I will pay 30k.... not almost 40k...
Deal! Because they are about $10,000 odd .MSRP.
That plastic coating does not feel premium, in fact it feels cheap.
9.5 seconds! So slow
Well at least its not like the Toyota C-HR which takes 10.5 seconds according to caranddriver. It was made to attract 30-40 year olds with no kids but it drives like it was made for soccer moms.
Just wait for the 2.0L turbo. Due to be released in about a month or so..
That is going to have a price tag of close to $40K. You can get a top of the line Murano with $36K.
Even with that it is not going to be much faster, maybe a couple of tenths, than the 1.5L Turbo in the CR-V.
GM is just turning their basic cars and trucks into total slow pigs and gas mileage really sucks on most of their cars.
We also have
Much less car, with less MPG and more money...HUH
Terrible 0-60 times. 9.5 seconds? Isn't the CVT, 1.5L turbo on the Honda CRV 7.5-8 seconds to 60? 136 HP Diesel Turbo option? I would hate to get behind one of those merging onto a freeway. I would guess 0-60 in and AWD would be ~13-14 seconds at least. Typical modern GM, looks decent but they cheap out under the hood.
Will Raley people that buy these aren't worried about that shit
GM has a 2.0T that will run 1.5s faster to 60 mph and keep pulling away.
37k for a car that takes 9 frickin seconds to get to 60mph😂😂😂WTF!!!!!
if u are looking for this type of car, ure probably not caring about the acceleration speed...safety, room and comfort are what matter for me...and fuel economy, rather than hp
nicoswow mmmh
you can get a loaded Odessey for safety, room and comfort you mentioned. lol
I guess no one believes in cd players anymore? I'm wondering why andwhat year equinox did they stop putting CD players?
Who cares, do you want a cassette deck and 8-track too?
If they refuse to offer the Diesel on the Base Model L then they can take it and shove it where the Sun don't shine.
I find it that's one of the main reasons why diesel won't ever take off on the USA Market. Why push on me a bunch of stuff i don't want or need just to be able to buy the diesel option ? I'm looking at you, RAM & Colorado ! 👎
OEMs need to get their heads out of their collective Colon and smell the fresh air...😳
Toyota not Tota.
