Eric, but you got to get it running. No matter what, you will have to drill out the locks. You can't hurt it any more, so proceed to get the seat off and the tank. Come on, Eric. We know you can do it Just go for it!
Hopefully you stayed till the end for the bonus footage where I did just that. It burped and farted not really running but enough for me. Thanks for watching.
super cool the mrs i mean 👍as for the 3 wheeler wow such power . as for the ninja great stuff come on let’s get it going ❤ oh you did nice one no point waisting time now sell it as it is free engine and rumbles lol ❤
It's one of those bikes that'll keep you awake at night and disturb your thoughts during the day if you dont try to get it to run - been there and done it.
I think you owe it to the next owner to charge the battery, and get it to idle on gasoline. And change the oil. Congratulations on your 37 years! That's a good example of how it should be done.
The 1980 model Kawasaki's had a positive 1st gear and neutral transmission. With the engine not running 1st gear and neutral are the only gears available. You must start engine to shift up to a higher gear.
I'd go as far as getting it to run😂😂😂 but as far as shifting my 06 operates the same. With my 95 fzr and other older bike you can pull the clutch in and start but these newer one have goofy safety features. My 06zx10 can be running parked on kick stand and if you put it in gear while stand is down it shuts off...but Congratulations to you also and it's great to have a partner in crime😂😂😂mine gave up years ago so I'm alone with the bikes and cars😂😂😂cool post🏁🏁🏁
This was a quick fun project. Can we get it free, check. Can we turn the ignition on without keys, check. Does it have spark, check! Make noise, maybe. Thanks for watching.
You are correct. I learned this with my GPZ last year. Apparently, I forgot it. To be fair I can’t remember what I had for breakfast.🤣😂🤣 Thanks for watching
I agree. Thankfully, all I spent on this one was an afternoon of fun. Plus gained loads of street credit for having my wife drag me down the road. Thanks for watching.
Check that blinking light footage. It wasn’t just a turn signal. It was Morse code. The bike was saying it wanted to live! I kid. You should keep the tank as a mascot for the channel! In all seriousness, while the tank, seat and fairings look bad, it’s not that far off. A secondhand tank, a recovered seat and some cable ties to suture up any cracked fairings, and you’d have a sweet track bike on your hands. Almost forgot you need a new bar as well. Thanks for sharing!
In spite of the way the bike is, it still wants to LIVE 😎. You have an amazing wife in Kerrie, she's a diamond 💎.
Keri is the BEST!!!! Thanks so much for watching.
Once again, you’re amazing me! Smiles. Great job Kerrie!
Thank you so much! And Keri is a BEAST!!!
You’re definitely in a RUclips niche market with this video Eric! What a unique and entertaining video!
Trying to corner the market on videos of a wife towing her husband on a derelict motorcycle. 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewindLol! She’s pretty amazing!! Appreciate you both! Be blessed brother!
Loved those older bikes more
Me too!!! Thanks for watching.

OMG I bust out laughing at the tank reveal 😂😂
That tank was awful. Thanks for watching.
Real nice patina there Clark real nice👌🏻
Very nice!!! Thanks for watching.
Knew it was free when it was generating its own electricity.. pretty cool. Cool vintage college bike.
Will make someone a cool project. Thanks for watching.
That'll buff out! 😀
A little buffing and a lot of squinting and it will look great. 🤣😂🤣Thanks for watching
Congratulations to you both on 37 years 🙏. Real cool lady. Eric I'll have get my missy to tow me when necessary....... 😂🤏
Thanks so much. She is pretty cool.
Would love to see you get it going 😊
I am done with this bike. My friend is selling it.
Love this one. I think it deserves to live. Maybe crowdfund for the budget and then do a giveaway when you finish the rebuild.
That’s a great idea. 💡 Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewindI'd be willing to help source parts or donate. A community frankenbike could be fun.
Awsome done
Thanks so much for watching.
The sprits from the movie Skeleton Key have invaded it ! Eric beware you could be next !
Holy crap!!!💩 👻
it is awesome.. congrats on the 37 years!
Thanks so much. Keri is pretty awesome.

The 3 Wheeler is a beast. Thanks for watching.
It's one of those bikes that'll keep you awake at night and disturb your thoughts during the day if you dont try to get it to run - been there and done it.
It sure would. Had to hear it make some noise. But had to throw in the towel because I have stuff to do. Thanks for watching.

That explains it. Thanks for watching.
always worth the ride.
Fun for no money!!! Thanks for watching.
Had a 2007 Ninja 250. Loved it. Too light, almost blew off a bridge on a highway. Sold it. :-(
I guess it can be too light🏍️💨🌉Thanks for watching.
Front fender is nice and the tank has been replaced with a box of cornflakes.
Yes it has. Still some good bits on it. Thanks for watching.
In the video it looks as though the ignition is in the on position. It seems as though the stator is working I would guess.
It might have been. The good this is the stator appears to work. Thanks for watching.
That will buff out
Yes it will. Thanks for watching
Like to hear it at least run.
You heard all your gonna hear from me. It’s gone, my friend picked it up and is putting it for sale on marketplace. Thanks for watching.
Scrap the fairing, find a second hand tank and put a cheap seat cover on it. Might work!
Seat cover is a great idea. It’s not that far from being a fun little bike.
I'd go as far as getting it to run😂😂😂 but as far as shifting my 06 operates the same. The key was on while you were towing; when it spun over, you generated current for the signals.
Just needs extra blinker fluid then it's good to go.
I ish I would have thought to flush the blinker fluid. It would have ran. 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for the watching.
IS IT ETHANOL FUEL THAT EAT THAT TANK?🤠🇺🇸
Looks like a kraken ate the tank.
Strip the plastics off and itll look better maybe lol im sure youll make it better Eric!
"The most expensive boat you will ever own is the one you get for free."
Hopefully it's not the same for motorcycles... 😜
6:50 Low fuel light? 🤣🤣🤣
It was the turn signal light. Thanks for watching.
Kawi won't shift into 2nd unless engine is running due to the positive neutral finder.....
That’s right, I forgot. Thanks for watching.
From the looks of the key slot, it looks like the key was removed in the one position.
Pull them sticks out from the front end.
I pulled them out before I brought it inside.
Now you have to find another one to make two into one.
Not me. My buddy is picking it up soon. Someone else can have fun with it. Thanks for watching
Perfect second bike for your granddaughter after she grows into, and then grows out of, the little pink bike.
That’s a great idea. Her Mom would kill me. 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for watching.
Kawasaki gearbox is like that, it won't go any other gear than first if the engine is not running.
That explains it. Thanks for watching.
Your as mad as a hatter & I love it!😂❤
You not the first one to call me crazy!!!🤪
they made millions of the ninja 250 parts cheap and available all over is fix really if it cranks
I think it’s a great project for someone. Just not me. Did more than I wanted to with it. The goal was freeing the engine. Thank so much for watching
GPX250, theres a tank in UK on eBay £40 odd DKmotorcycles and another for £90, I had one 15 years ago,
I will let my friend know. Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind I also posted they have a spanking clean Kawasaki green one for £80
Kawasaki have a safety where it won’t go past first gear unless it’s running.
You are correct. I learned this with my GPZ last year. Apparently, I forgot it. To be fair I can’t remember what I had for breakfast.🤣😂🤣 Thanks for watching
In fact DK have a kawasaki green tank in looking top condition just missing filler cap £80
That’s a good price. Thanks for sharing.
Turbonator + Turbonator Wife = "The Turbonators" !!!!
She is the BEST!!! Can’t wait till she rides the Turbo. Thanks for watching.
I’ll be mighty disappointed if you don’t at least try to get that heap running, Eric 🙂
We gave it a shot. Thanks for watching.
Always called those bikes gerbil racers because of how you sit on it.
🐭🐭🐭🐭
Free is the most expensive investment you can make. peace
I agree. Thankfully, all I spent on this one was an afternoon of fun. Plus gained loads of street credit for having my wife drag me down the road. Thanks for watching.
Fix it, probaly in better condition than the rest.
Thanks for watching.
Hi if its like my ninja 650 2017 they wont go up gear unless there running
It’s like yours. It’s also like my 83 GPZ1100. Memory is failing me. 🤣😂🤣Thanks for watching.
This bike is an inch away to be perfect, just put inside coating in the tank😂
Good job anyway!
I didn’t think about lining the tank. That’s a great idea. 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for watching
Hell Kenny Rogers marriage didn't last 37 years, unless you count all 5 marriages together 🤔. Congratulations Eric.
He knew when to fold ‘em and definitely knew when to walk away. 🤣😂🤣Thanks for watching.
You know you want to try and start it….lol
Yes sir.
Yeah, never look a gift horse in the -mouth- cylinder.
🤣🤪🤣

You’re right, it’s not too far off. There is something clanking around in the engine. Thanks for watching
, its not a 2003 😂 as an import maybe, but its about a 1986-1989
The vin tag says 9/2002. Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind must be a US model then !
i want that freebie🥲
It went quick
@@motorcyclerewind sold?
Junk it.
😂🤣😂
