- Recorded live on June 12, 1997 at the Sony Music Studios in New York City, NY for the "Sessions at West 54th" television program. Instrumental version of Female Mechanic Now on Duty, than titled Static Overview.
What the fuck? The 3 versions of this song on RUclips collectively don't even reach 11,000 views and 15 Petals by Elvis Costello isn't even on RUclips. Think how much obscure, near unheard of shit is on here, including 14 year-olds doing covers that get even a few hundred views, yet legends like these, Elvis Costello, etc., get absolutely fuck all in comparison. This world is sick when it comes to music.
Moore/Ranaldo - two geniuses.
Gordon/Shelley - the superglue. and both equally genius in their own right.
thank you for putting this up.
cool shit.
the part from 6:00 onwards are the same sounds that ended up on A Thousand Leaves! They actually pulled the outro from this recording, and it's so fascinating that you can directly see them make something that is on the album.
Yes.they are good at doing live same as album, even pedal setting are completely same.
Loved it; you got a laugh at all the negative comments on the internet... what would be the outlet if the internet didn't exist?!?!?! I loved this video as I got a chance to see them making their tricky sounds. Sometimes I close my eyes listening to them play and wonder how they do it, then when I see them play my imaginings were not even close. I love 'em
Kim is actually quite the underrated rhythm guitarist. I mean, this entire piece would just sound like nonsense if she wasn’t able to hold it down.
I love you Kim.
...that's why art is always apart from popular culture.
THIS IS popular culture
This is better than the album version!!
