AEC MERLIN stuff! Fixing failed floor glue. And you get to meet LindaLoveLaser!

Fixing the floor of my AEC Merlin where the glue has failed due to heat and sun. I used boat flooring called EVA, it is glued to the floor using contact adhesive. I came back from my Christmas break and found a few areas where the floor had lifted and the glue has failed. Drastic measures required. Will it work?!
I also introduce my 1984 KB Laser Ghia. Her name is Linda. LindaLoveLaser!

1.6mm ally chequer plate under the seats would be a better solution......you could screw down with countersunk screws and washers and it wouldn't look out of place as long as you spaced the screws evenly.........
