I cannot thank you for enough for these videos on Capture One! Your tutorials have changed my workflow and post processing to a much higher standard than I thought possible. I personally would be exceedingly grateful for more on Capture One. On what you might ask? I have no idea as I’m learning through you. And by the way ..... love the “FRESH” ideas.

These are brilliant. I've just watched the starting out video and now this one.
I've downloaded the 30 day trial of Capture One. I'm looking to upgrade from the Camera Raw software I use with Photoshop 6 (now 8 years old).
It looks really advanced, but these videos are a massive help. I'll wait till I've watched all of them before I see if there's anything else I'd like content for, but it's great your asking us. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the helpful information. I would like to see a video about layers and how to apply the same editing effects to other images.

Another great video that's further raised my interest in Capture One. I'm looking forward to your videos on layers and masking after which I'll probably download the free trial and give it a workout with some of my photos to see whether it's worth switching (being a Sony user I can get their Sony specific version for £129). However, I still have concerns about whether they'll switch to subscription only since their website is biased towards this model.

Did you learn this software on your own or is there literature and or a course for it somewhere?
I wanted capture one to replace LR/PS for me. Unfortunately my first dive into it felt like i didn't have as much control over exposure related adjustments and i haven't had the time to spend more time with it. Nice video, this has me wanting to explore this software more.

Great tutorial, fantastic presentation style, looking forward to learning more. Only negative comment is the background music, found it distracting and not necessary as I'd rather just hear what you have to say.

Great video thanks, good to see an alternative to Adobe. However I’m a dyed in the wool Lightroom and Photoshop user and have really enjoyed and learned a lot from your previous videos. Does this recent departure to Captureone spell the end of your Tutorial Tuesday videos on the Adobe suite?

Oh no, I still love Lightroom and Photoshop and definitely have videos coming soon focused on both! Still got a lot of love for Adobe :-)

I'm new into C1 - because is really does Fuji files better than LR. There are however some things that it's rubbish with! But you can pass off files to PS and LR as plugins, save files from C1 as PSD files etc etc. C1 does seem to link with other editors very well.

Does C1 work well with already converted proprietary RAW files that have been converted by Lightroom to DNG? Or do you have to use the original ARW (in the case of Sony) files in order to really see the benefits of C1 over LR?

    Part three? Where is it??

  • @rattusrodney

C1 is not intuitive. C1 is LAGGY when applying changes even on an i7 cpu. C1 only looks at the first folder - not subfolders when importing. AND WHERE IS THE HISTORY PANEL? fail. also no dehaze. PLUS you also have to name all your layers. work. work. work. Makes lightroom seem easy.

rattusrodney but if you’d shoot Fuji film, which is the best camera company right now, capture one handles the sensor data much better.

Get a proper monetior for colorgrading. Load your files into C1 and LR then see which ones are rendered better. C1 history actions tab and when importing, you can select to include subfolders. As of 2021 version dehaze plus style brushes are included.
The sole option of working in layers makes C1 10x more flexible. Before commenting you should learn to use the tool and get your facts straight.
