Bought the DLX a month ago. I, like most of you, watched countless videos regarding it. This video is one of the better ones, no doubt. I use mine primarily for direct church applications & recording. Take time to learn all this incredible unit offers. I don't want another amp, I want another Simplifer DLX for practice, jams, etc.
I watched a lot of demos of this "pedal" (thinking of buying one) - THIS is the one that made me reach for my wallet! Ordered today!!! Thanks for a great demo!
I suppose you won't regret the purchase. The main thing for me with such devices compared to digital sims is that they behave more like a real amp. The tone is really in the hands with these. For me , whenever i play a digital sim i feel some compromise... The final result may sound ok, but the way i feel when producing these sounds is far from what i like
Brother, this is a marvelous presentation. Thanks for the video and the info you provided in it. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you. Cheers
I got the simplifier (classic) not too long ago and it’s really great for live use where I don’t want to haul an amp with me. But now I’m finding myself craving the extra features of the dlx, the reverb and the ability to run 2 “amps” separately at the same time. Decisions decisions
I have the classic and always used reverb with it so I got the DLX. It sounds...different. Liiike, there is something grainy in the upper mids on the DLX I am not liking so far...but I am going to give it a while. LOVE the classic sound.
Really great playing.. and demo too.. im trying to determine if I want to get one as well.. I dont need much in my band.. I usually stick with one tone all night and just stomp on the boost..

Have the X version, you get great tone but you need to take time and find it. Once you do take a picture of it. I like running both in parallel
Great video demo 👍🏻. Just ordered one of these. It sounds incredible in this video, (especially the Marshall tones) very authentic. I’ve been waiting years for a great sounding solid-state Marshall amplifier and this is basically it. But with this I get a Fender and Vox amp as a added bonus 🙂. Big heavy amps aren’t always practical these days. I’ve already got a Bose S1 Pro PA, that i can run it through, although I’ll probably get the “HeadRush FRFR-112 2000 Watt Powered Speaker” just for more volume.
should have mine in a few weeks. curious to find out what sounds better, XLR into FRFR 212 with cab sim or turn off cab sim and go stereo out to a stereo poweramp and to a set of 212 guitar cabs.
Great review! You're video helped me decided to get the DLX over the Iridium and the ACS-1. Since you're able to bypass the cab sim on the DLX you should be able to run the signal through the TC Electronic Impulse IR Loader pedal for endless cab sim options. I don't know if that's the case but it seems logical. @tonezone, can you confirm my thoughts on this? Thanks again for the awesome review, loved the tones you dialed in.
I use a cab sim/IR loader (flamma Cab) in the fx loop, bypassing the cab section of the simplifier and sounds great. This device is very versatile and I really enjoy the combination of the analog preamp with the cabsim/IR.
I would like to know, if possible, what types of cabinets are "modeled". Marshall? Fender? I apologize for the possibly stupid question. It is not a digital product and there is no mention of IR, but is there a reference to the cabinets? Thank you and you are great for the built device.
I know this question is 9 months old. But, this is analogue, not digital. So “modeling” is not accurate here. At best they are “emulating” a 2x12 vs a 4x12. It simply has a capacitor that is pulling out some low end and middle for the 2x12 and another allowing it through for the 4x12.
Excellent demo. Very nice playing! 👍

killer playing!!!
Wow that last jam was top notch

Regarding the price - it is not only "couple of amps in a pedal format", it is also a tweakable cab sim and great reverb.
Its not very tweekable but especially in stereo, the reverb is ❤ underrated

I’m right there with you! I want the extra BALLS that the DLX has and the reverb. There’s something extra going on there compared to the classic.

The reverb on this is so good i sold my mercury 7. tbf it might have been out of pocket to buy the M7 since i just wanted a simple reverb application.
Nice demo!
Thank you!

Great demo! Where can I find this jam track?
What are you playing yhru, is it the deluxe I see I. The back?

Nice demo but why is the fella adjusting both channel controls every time??
You can run both channels separately or in combination, either in stereo or in a single channel. Seems like he’s running both amp at one time.
Are you going straight from the simplifier to an interface?

simplifier dlx or tonex? which you prefer?
Gawd damn man, you play so well, I think you might have convinced me to get one. I'll sleep on it and see how it goes.
What make guitar is that?
Has anyone tried to record into a DAW with the Simplifier?
Niccccccce!
Thank you!
Ok
I dont understand, If you are only using channel A, why do you keep adjusting channel B?
If you put the unit into parallel mode you have mono input and dual independent AB outputs, where you can have different voicing etc. on each channel.
@@fedup3449 Really? That's incredible. I can't wait for mine to arrive, so i can try this out.
Yep, I think you'll love it. There's way more under the hood. Enjoy and let me know if and when you find out what the THRU channel is for!
