    I have a 2008 base in the same color…love it…your color match looks very good to me on the video, gives me some hope that if mine is ever damaged it can be matched…

    Looking good man! I’m currently building my widebody C6 as well. I went with Apex racing wheels. They are fantastic and look stellar.

    From experience: If you go with JD corvette wide front fenders in the future. Go with an OEM front bumper rather than the JD corvette front bumper.

    Hopefully you have sourced the splash guards already the OEM VERSIONS are discontinued. I needed the right side rear and no joy. Limited aftermarket selections; none at a reasonable cost

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  2 месяца назад

      Haha yeah I ran into that issue. Currently bought some aftermarket ones that are carbon. They have some slight fitment issues but over not terrible. Still waiting for some OEM ones to surface lol

    What width tire you end up getting? I’m wanting this but I’m scared of not being able to get the right fitment especially if I’m spending 1500 on a carbon fiber set

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  2 месяца назад

      I actually made a video on the tires I’m running not too long ago. I ended up putting OEM Zo6 wheels on my car and they fit perfectly. Go on my channel and check it out if you want. I go over the fitment and everything

    Great job man !! gratz !! , btw man , did you get the rear fender vents ? the trim between the fuel door and the door ?

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you! I was able to find the vent bezels but not the actual vents that connect in the fender liner to cool the breaks. Those ZO6 fender liners are discontinued from GM so you would have to find them off a wrecked car or find them used somewhere :/

    • @ordovicicosilurico6799
      @ordovicicosilurico6799 6 месяцев назад

      @@apprenticeautomotive ohh ok got it , yeah i think ill put some mesh on that vent , just to cover a lil bit the vent hole , and about the rear inner liner i think i found a page that supplies the parts to GM i just order the 2 rears and 1 on the front , lets see if its good quality and if they work im fingers crossed , if no , i just wasted 400 bucks 😥😅

    • @apprenticeautomotive

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  5 месяцев назад +2

      I ended up cutting my old ones, the ZO6 liners are discontinued so you’ll need to find them off a recked car or something

    How did you feel it driving without the wheel liner? Is all you installed then just the quarter panels that’s it?

    • @apprenticeautomotive
      @apprenticeautomotive  6 месяцев назад +1

      Driving without the fender liner was fine, it just had a little more cabin noise. I ended up cutting the old fender liner lip off and put them back on and it works perfectly! I’m going to make a video explaining everything I did. A lot of the Z06 conversion parts are discontinued which sucks :/
