- Old school drive-in movie theater experience Halloween edition! It's how going to the movies used to be done during the spooky season with a behind-the-scenes look at working original projectors! We got to see them at work during the Halloween inspired, "Creepy Car Cruise" at the 1950's Georgetown drive-in in Georgetown, Indiana! Gas-powered projectors were so dangerous back in the day, projectionists weren't allowed to leave them! Fire was so much a possibility, many had a simple drape separating them from their bathroom facilities and the projectors. Add a clone of the famous "Christine" from Stephen King's movie of the same name to the mix and it was a night beyond awesome!...With a surprise or two! You've got to watch the whole video to get the complete experience!

If you've been to a drive-in, what's a favorite memory?...If you've never been, what would make it a great experience for you?
Drive-In movie theaters are STILL a unique and fun adventure!! Thanks for sharing.
We're on the same page when it comes to finding drive-ins fun! Thanks for the visit!
This video is incredibly fun. Great stuff!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love going to the drive-in. That is cool that you can walk in and watch outdoors. What a fun drive in.
They are fun! Hope you guys get to experience it someday! Thanks for the visit!
Beautiful👌 great upload👌
Thank you so much!
I like the skeleton in the back of the red pickup! Lots of fun, and Christine is the perfect movie for an event like this!
We thought it was a lot of fun, too! Nice to see you back again!
@@OffRampAdventures You're welcome! My day job pulls me away from YT at times.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping in!
Can't ever get enough of the Drive-In experience. 30 years ago I never would have thought I'd be saying that going to the Drive-in would be "an experience". A rarity. It's about 100 miles from where I live to the closest drive to us. And we use to have a 4 screen drive-in theater about 3 miles from us. Took it for granted we went almost 2 times a month back in the day. Must of seen Jaws & Fast Times At Ridgemont High all summer long at that drive-in. If I owned that bus I'd paint it with The Partridge Family square colors. Talk about me being square. My wife loved seeing that Christine car. Me, I'm more personally fond of "THE CAR". Remember that movie with James Brolin? The chopped top 1971 Lincoln?
Loved THE CAR! Not that actual, evil car, but, you know...Yeah the '71 Lincoln is still a car I'd like to own! Didn't consider Partridge-theming the bus!
😂 not probably the first time someone asked her that question 🤪
Dressing that way during a Halloween thing, I think you're right!...I kinda' feel vindicated. Thanks!
Wow - That neon Chevy is awesome! Love heading to the drive in - that horror double bill is classic! Perfect for some spooky fun :)
The Chevy is my favorite at the Georgetown...It was a fun night that inspired the end of the video. Thanks for checking it out!
So nice upload, beautiful presentation here again. Full played and liked. Thanks for sharing dear. All the best. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you! You too!
Omg going to a drive in has been on our bucket list! Perfect timing for spooky season 👻
Hope you get a chance to go! We feel we were very blessed to get this night on video, especially the old time projectors. Thanks for being here!
That's really neat
Thanks for the return visit!
I've always wanted to go to a drive-in. Now I want to search for a drive in theatre to visit. 👍
You should! Thanks for visiting again!
Great video!! This video definitely gets you into the Halloween spirit!!
Thank you , Gracie! We thought it was perfect timing, too!
What a cool idea! Show Halloween movies and have a spooky car show is a unique experience. That was funny that she scared ya'll. I used to work at a movie theater that worked on the same principal as the film equipment in the truck. I don't do scary movies. LOL
This video had a lot of things that just came together to make it more fun that we thought it would be, glad you enjoyed it, too! Thanks for stopping in again!
WOW, the last time I have seen a drive through was about 15 years ago. They closed the last one in Atlanta about 15 years ago. So cool. LIKE 20. 👍👍👍
Appreciate the thumbs! Glad you enjoyed the tour!
Wow amazing friend

I remember that sign from the Showcase Cinemas on Bardstown Rd.

Excellent video, enjoy full watching.. Thanks for sharing dear friend, greetings from Indonesia
Thank you very much! Thanks for visiting!
We're taking time to walk around and take in the sights from ghoulish movie icons to everything that's happening around the snack bar. Getting to see the gas-powered projectors in action, It's a drive-in experience you may never have again! Thanks for watching, we'd appreciate a thumbs up if you like this video!
No one but me has memories of your dad forcing you down on the floorboard under a blanket when entering the drive in? I didn’t get to see the ride in until I was old enough to drive.
My memories are more of a bunch of teenagers stuffed in a car's trunk! LOL! Thanks for watching!
Thats a totally awesome drive in , it has to be a scary movie. Great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
I'm rooting for your video
Thank you so much!
This video was a lot of fun. We have no Drive-in theaters left near where we live. But I remember going to one several times a a child in the 80s and it was always fun. Goth girls with green hair should dress conservatively and dye their hair a natural color to celebrate Halloween every year so they don't get confused for costumed characters. The bit with your car in your garage at the end was classic! Thanks for sharing this!
First, thanks for watching...and, I agree! Goth girls should dress down to celebrate the season so we can tell the difference! LOL! Glad you liked the extra at the end, too!
nice trip and awesome experience my friend😊👍thanks for sharing and new friend here🔔👌
Thanks for the visit!
Hello? Nice sharing 😊 Happy Sunday! ☺️
Thanks for visiting!
Oh how fun! We had 2 drive ins left growing up. On Sundays they were swap meets. Best time ever! This is so cool with all their lights and what cool movie selections! Happy Halloween! =)
It was a fun night, glad we got to share it! Glad you ENJOYED it! Thanks for watching!
This is an absolutely lovely drive-in. I use to go to drive-ins back in my hometown of Exmore, Virginia. I now live in Central Texas and they still have one here that they use once in awhile. You guys really did a great job with the behind-the-scene stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and for the encouragment! Glad you liked it!
We're down to a couple drive-in's left in Wisconsin😞. Very meat what that drive in did and the support of the community was nice to see. The ending of the video was a nice touch!😊
Glad you've got some drive-ins left, hope people keep supporting them. Thanks for watching our (whole) video! We wonder if people ever stick around for the 'easter eggs' at the end.
Here in Jacksonville Florida years ago we had at least 12 drive ins here I worked at one from 1976 until 1981 the Midway drive in we had so much fun back then 10$ a car load dusk till dawn classic horror movies then Walmart and land developers took it all away from us
Movie production companies are making it very expensive to show first-run movies in places like drive-ins...I think that's making it very attractive to sell your screens to big developers... Thanks for the visit and comment!
Wow impressive I enjoyed this so much 💗👍11
Glad to see u friend and I'm here to support U 🥰✨
Thank you so much 👍
I can’t remember what city it was, in 1968 night of the living dead played at the drive in and sold out. The next day the drive in apologized in the newspaper for not having enough room. I think it was in Pittsburg
I hope that kind of problem comes around again! Would really like to see the drive ins thrive!
You passed on Paw Patrol??? Poor goth girls have it rough around Halloween 🎃
AND Scooby Doo! LOL! Goth girl had the last laugh!
Awesome that movies are horrible and i'm scared watching horror movies
They can get scary! Thanks for watching!
