a man after my own heart - a minimalist paint job! A street machine like this shouldn't be a mobile advertising platform for parts makers. I have also built a couple of these R34s and like you, really enjoyed them. I really like the combo of fluro yellow and black - that is just awesome. I reckon a couple of semi-gloss accents or even carbon wouldn't go amiss on a few items - like the wheel arch vents. Another scheme I'd like to try one day is full body carbon fiber and then tint it slightly with blue or red. I just can't bring myself to commit to hours and hours of making templates and then the headache of making sure to cut the fiber decal out in the correct orientation etc

Thank you very much 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊 yeah I tend to go for a more simple approach to paint jobs most of the time, single colour high gloss etc. Ahhh I don't often do carbon. It can be frustrating. I know it's boring but I like to keep it easy and enjoyable 🤦🏻‍♂️😅 clear carbon is brilliant over a colour, I've seen clear carbon used over purple blue and red, very good stuff!
