- In this video, we gain an insight into the lives of Patrick and Lizzie, who left the big city life in London, to build a Tiny Home where they now live full time. They discuss the reasons behind this decision, including financial motivations, and impressively built this Tiny Home for less than the cost of a year's rent. They make some great points on why time is so much more important to Lizzie and Patrick and how this lifestyle has given them more of that, enabling them to create and pursue other interests.
Lizzie and Patrick take us on a tour of their stunning Tiny Home, set in an idyllic setting in the English countryside. They impressively built most things themselves, including the windows, Wow!
The inside of this Tiny Home is something to be admired, with a stunning design and a cozy yet airy cabin aesthetic.
Thanks to Lizzie and Patrick for giving us an insight into their lives.

Lovely to see a UK example. With housing at a premium it would be wonderful if the planning laws were easier for people to embrace this.
It's a lovely 'tiny house' but it is basically a caravan in your parents back garden. It's a very privileged position to be in. Enjoy it!
Just when I was thinking how to they tackled the planning permissions.
Exactly
Step one. Have a big ass vacant parents garden with no restrictions and legalities.
Sadly this is impossible to do for someone who doesn’t have that.
Most of land doesn’t even allow vans to be parked for long time . Uk is wierd.
I have been looking at tiny houses for years and it is so nice to see one in the UK. I think you have both done an amazing job and your ethics are on point. Well done for taking the leap and acknowledging how lucky you are to have been offered a parking spot. But you have made it happen and I think you should be celebrated. I love your home. Keep on with your dreams xx
Yet another fab video of alternative living. Please keep going 💚
Wow what an awesome home!! Well done guys 👏 I have just put my apartment on the market as I live in my own and my mortgage is going to go through the roof in September, I refuse to pay the outgoings which I will be paying! What will live in… I have no idea!!! Possibly buy a van conversion… 🤔
We are glad not to live in a cramped shoebox, even with minimalism. No more tiny house and countryside rat race for us! Moving onto a better healthier environment where we can focus on God and our family.
Loving these videos!
I would give up my 2 bed semi for a cabin out there in the wild! Thats my dream
It’s the only way forward as far as the housing market is concerned..Best wishes to you guys from Wales 🏴
Love it. I’ve gone from a 3600 Sq ft house to a 120 Sq ft caravan (which, for some reason people on you tube are calling a tiny house now, but really, it’s a caravan or a trailer). I love these guys place well done…ps I’m going to buy some canvass and paint and try my hand at being an artist ….
That's a lovely build. I'm glad more homes that are successfully created by inexperienced builders are gaining attention.
We looked at a couple of these pre-made ones at a show recently, we loved them.perfect but nowhere to put one. This one is stunning.Perfect Outlook too.
There’s a housing crisis, and yet there’s a massive answer staring the government in the face. Tiny houses.
Houses that normal people, could actually afford!
All it would take would be some sites that could be set up as tiny home villages. Say 20 or 30 pitches together. Some already built that can be sold and so,e empty pitches for people to build their own or move their own to.
It makes a lot more sense then new build houses at stupid prices that normal people, whether old or young, can’t afford.
Lovely build! Did you have to apply for permission or notify your council before you moved into your tiny house?
Timbers on the decking need de-barking, otherwise fungus will grow and rot the timber very rapid. Just an observation.
nice to see a young couple taking charge of their life and making the most of it
I could absolutely live in that. Well done, it's great
You and me both!
Absolutely love that home and it's owners.
dont move back into a house and also if you want a bath get a tin one and put it outside
I really like the roof line, and that it keeps to the original size of tiny houses, as I've been disappointed by the trend to larger ones.
The problem with tiny homes is that the councils force them to move on from where they are parked even on private property depending on by laws.
This is happening in New Zealand and I think Australia.
I guy I met was building a home from a massive refrigerated truck trailer unit about 40 meters long.
He said he will register it as a caravan and councils can't go anything about where it's parked.
Here in Sweden you are not able to live in a tiny house on your own plot without a building permit. Even a regular caravan requires a building permit. Plan to live in a large tent instead? Well then the city needs to make an inspection in order to make sure that it's not a permanent building...
A few years ago, a man lived in the woods in Devon, in a self built dwelling. The council forced him to leave because they claimed that his dwelling was not up to hygiene standards. I am not convinced that even if you buy a plot of land, you can just live on it, regardless of the type of dwelling, even just a caravan or camper van, and that all councils will just let you without permission.
A friend of mine bought some woods, and was only, legally, allowed to camp in it, not live in it. Although to what extent the council will monitor or enforce, who knows 🤷♂️
@@stephenbland7461 Yeah if one registered something like a vehicle or property with the government or council then one has entered into contract with that commercial entity.
@@stephenbland7461 in some aspects we are certainly not free.
"We always thought there must be a better way then paying rent"- Yep, easy to do when you are living in Mummy and Daddies back garden
What a fantastic tiny home , great layout too 😎🌞
Interior tour starts at 8:40.
Nice House , great build but you may have to move the house In Time or the Trees .
The House will not grow but ; the Trees will and they have a way of leaning in a direction that tickles their fancy .
Fantastic video , we live on a narrow boat ( very similar living ) thanks for sharing ❤
What a truly lovely couple, well done and very envious of your position!
What a lovely couple and I love your "tiny" house. Well done
How do you get land to put it on though?
Video starts at 8:40
Love the build
Awesome 👌🏾
Awesome life
Love it
The tiny house movement makes me😂 they are no different to a large static caravan
Please stop describing things as self-built. This home did not build itself.
Yes the location is lovely....but yeah, it's just a bedsit in disguise.
