Thanks so much for showing your tools and skills. Your videos are my goto as I learn this business. In the process of making my skinning machine now modeled quite a bit after yours.
Appreciate the measurements. Where did you get tubing (the traffic sign one)? How far out from the main frame did you go out to where the base (clamps) are? How high is it to the upper pulley? And the length of the rebar? This is a GREAT rig!! Kudos to you!! I am making one. Sorry for all the questions :) Have a great season
pensnut08 go to the scrap yard. make the thing a high as you can. keep the clamps and top pulley plumb with each other so it will pull straight. best of luck to ya
that thing looks like it would help a guy after a hard days trapping, you sure put some time in designing it i can see . nice work and thanks for sharing
I like that skinning machine. I'd like to build one like it and use it for skinning deer also. I have a couple pieces of that street sign square material out by my garage.
what is the distance from the base to the post that holds the vise grips, the length of the rebar and the height of the sign post. Thanks for the info.
Man I need all the measurements for all of it. I’m rewatching the video over and over in this welding shop trying to figure it out. Just don’t want to cut something wrong and it not work
Looks like you have good trapping in your area.I am planning on moving in the near future. Any suggestions on a new location, with good trapping? Best wishes, Sterling
How do I loosen up the free jaw on my new Duke #3 traps, bout half of them don’t move freely. When Im bedding them and want to lift the loose jaw to add some dirt or maybe adjust the pan ect. , the whole trap moves and screws up a solid bedding. Even after waxing , they’re still stiff ? Do I need to file something or drill the hole out near the small end of the jaw or what, any suggestions would be helpful. Watch lots of your videos, very educational and informative/ realistic, appreciate the authenticity.
It's just easier for me to yell at them because its taking so long to get them skinned :).... cool piece of hardware. You should do a fur shed/season update at some point if you get time
