Brother, we humans don't see and analyse our scriptural events in depth especially Mahabharata and Ramayana. In Hinduism nothing is as powerful as 'Dharma' and since Pandavas had the privilege of Dharmic, they were destined to withstand. Talking about Arjuna particularly, if you consider his skillset, he was by far the greatest. If you talk of him only Shree Rama and Lakshaman comes next to him when achievement is considered. And if you consider his sattvik guna intensity, his Dharma was so intense that Mahadev consider as a opponent to take a 1 v 1 duel, that Dharma of all the universes had to take Physical form in Krishna's appearance and assist him. So I don't think, Arjuna could anyway be defeated in Mahabharata in any way. Universe believes in equilibrium, why do you think destiny bestowed onto Bhisma, Drona and Karna all those seemingly impossible boons? Just coz they could withstand Arjuna to some extent and war could have been fought on the equilibrium state. When Pandavas were loosing coz Arjuna more than annihilating Kuru army, he was preoccupied in saving Yuddhisthira, while on the other hands Drona, Karna and Ashwathamma had a free hand, so when decisive step was to be taken, Universe created Abhimanyu Vadha, Abhimanyu was slated, Arjuna enraged and turned the scenerio of the entire war towards the final decisive state. Abhimanyu was slayed in that manner so as only to pave a path for Karna and Drona's death. Why didn't Ashwathamma showed the resistance to Pandavas like Bhisma, Drona and Karna? He was Rudra(who has the power of invincibility) and Arjuna had Dharma(he earned it all along his life and passed the test by choose Dharmesh over Narayani Sena) because their stand till death fight would have designed the universe in a very unappreciable way. So I believe Krishna through his Leela showed it to the world that assistance of Dharma prevails over any of blessings or curses. Who do you think always triumph over a MahaDaitya vs Vishnu/Shiva/Shakti fight? Is it Vishnu/Shiva/Shakti, no it's Dharma that prevails in a conclusive battle. Even Rama cheated on Bali, and Lakshana over Indrajeet. Do you think Lakshmana couldn't have played Indrajeet without vanquishing the Indrajeet Yagna, or Rama couldn't slay Ravana without Vibhishan. They all would have been defeated in any of the alternative realities, but it would have costed them violation of some boons of the past. Coz even tridev ain't powerful than Dharma. So to finally answer your question, Arjuna would have slayed all them on his might in some other alternate reality even where Krishna is not present. But in that case, that Universe would not have given them those boons of being unslayable, or it would allow Arjuna to violate those boons. Coz Dharma is the mightiest force of what we call Parbrahma. And that is what I believe Mahabharata and Ramayana teaches us. Become the absolute best, and become the staunch path tracer of Dharma, Universe itself has to come to guide you.
