    That's a nice little hand axe. It's very well priced at about $60.00 U.S., but I personally prefer a hand axe with a poll instead of a wig splitter. Thanks for the review, Scab. 😊

    I agree with a little more of a handle I think you could gain a lot of leverage. Man the purple heart of that cedar is money. As always fantastic work and love the view of the axes possibilities. Vets your loved by us and appreciate you

    Looks like it would be a decent little emergency axe to keep under the seat in my truck. For the price you could throw one in each vehicle you own. I think for camping and woodscraft I'd want something a little heavier and longer though.

    • @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors
      @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors  Месяц назад +1

    Just got mine today.
    Have a few bps knifes. Adventurer is my favorite all around camp/hinting knife. Got this to help with splitting chests on deer, moose etc. Cuting tuff tendons if knife isnt cutting it ( yep bad joke ) and as a camp hatchet second, for the small things. Im not chopping 4 or even 3 inch round sticks. Most the stuff here is dry and can be snapped to size with my foot over a large log, tent pegs, a stick to use guying out lines on tarp, ( those center tie outs to give more room ) yep this will make work easier then with a knife. A tool for every job. And only time im out in the brush is hunting. And those are 1 to two week back country trips. I need to pak light and tools need to do muti task duty. Great video. Got a new sub sir.

      @@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors I'm pretty sure you did do a review. Actually, I'm sure you did. It's a great little axe it's in D2. I would probably recommend the one you just reviewed over the Toor and it's only based on cost the Toor is over 300 bucks and for a small axe, there is no need to spend that much.

    I like bps knives but im not into lightweight thin axes. Just my opinion, a small camp axe is for splitting wood and chopping small trees. This axe looks.more of a tactile axe imo.

  • @marklex414
    @marklex414 Месяц назад +1

    Well I learned something. A viewer below comments they would rather have a "poll" opposite the blade. I had to look that up as I didn't know what it meant. According to Google 's AI, "The poll, also known as the butt, is the flat area on the back of an axe head that's opposite the cutting edge. It can be used for pounding or driving, as well as cutting. However, most axe polls aren't meant for pounding, and they're usually not made of hardened steel. Striking another piece of steel with a poll, like a metal splitting wedge, can damage it. Some modern axes have hardened polls, but most vintage axes don't." I think I would choose a hardened steel poll for utility over a spike.

    • @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors
      @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors  Месяц назад +1

      I would think most of today's axes would be hardened. And I do prefer a hardened pole myself I don't have much use for a spike
