I was debating back and forth on whether or not to publish this one, it's not my typical style, but maybe it will be helpful to someone who is thinking of renting here which I 100% recommend! A full length hike of this awesome park will be coming soon, take care everyone!
Thank you for this! I'm from DE and staying at the cabins next month with my kids and dog. Your video allows me to see what I would need to bring so thanks again! My boys are also into star gazing so the fact that you mentioned the great star sightings was an added bonus
Im so happy to hear that you found some value in the video! I absolutely adore Blackwater Falls West Virginia, and honestly, me and my mother do a fall vacation every year and this was the first place we ever returned too. For a simple guy like me - and i am from southeastern PA so not that far from you - these cabins are just the perfect mix of rustic but also comfortable. I hope you guys have a great time and I also did a video on the park if you want to check it out as well. And if you have clear skies, your jaw will drop at the amazing night skies there!
Would have been nice to see a few pics or decor of the park or other West Virginia attractions, I agree. But then again all those things were walking distance right out the door.
Gosh! We were here when I was pretty young, maybe in the '60s. I don't recall cabins, I think we tent camped back then. Had the place to ourselves. One of my favorite remembered places... In those days this would have been a pretty "high dollar" place in W. Va.! The ruts are likely from the Propane truck.
I'm just a huge fan of West Virginia all around. I have never actually stayed in a PA cabin myself, it's rare for me to get out of my tent, lol, and thanks for the feedback.
Walter, last Oct I spent a wonderful week in WV & VA, visiting 3 National Parks and 5 state parks. Maybe we passed each other on the trail😎 Love your videos. Heading to the Finger Lakes and then PA for hiking. You’ve inspired me to explore PA!
@@WALTERZOLNA I’m starting my journey at Kinzua Bridge, then Corning NY and Watkins Glen, Sam’s Point to the Ice Cave Trail, Bushkill Falls, Jim Thorpe & Lehigh Gorge, Seven Tubs & Ricketts Glen then back to Cincinnati. Your videos inspired my trip! Can’t wait to hit the road Sunday!
Awesome! Definitely not your typical video, but I think that should be ok. Often when I stray from my straightforward hiking guides, my views dip. But I decided I'm just going to make what I want and see how it goes. And you and I are so alike... I'm staying at a favorite locale next week and was thinking I'd get videos not just of the state parks, but a video of the accomodations, dining, etc... So I'll have one like this coming soon, too! Do you, boo! 😂🤣👍
Hahaha, you always give me a laugh. I have been wanting to branch out a bit from my bread and butter hiking videos. I realize that's what most people want to see, and it's what I mostly want to do, but as they say variety is the spice of life, lol. I think I am going to do a series pretty soon on a behind the scenes of how I film, like showing how I set up the shots, place cameras, edit, gear I use, all that stuff. But I really appreciate your feedback, and your certainly right it is our channels so we should present them as we like. Looking forward to your upcoming content!
I am almost 99% positive you would get a discount for a full week rental. But rates may be slightly higher during summer season, I would have to look online. Yes West Virginia is amazing, thanks for watching and leaving a comment Julie!
The cabin looks like a fantastic place for a filmmaker and his mom to enjoy an autumn trip for nature, discovery, and adventure. Looking forward to upcoming videos concerning your walks afield.
Love the cabin. Don’t think twice about publishing these type of videos, I enjoy them. It was a quaint cabin, my kind of camping. So nice of your mom to pay. I’m sure it was a great trip. Thanks for taking us along 😊
Thanks so much for that feedback, I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in seeing this type of video from me, I know it's not my strong suit. We had a great time, I am very blessed to have my mother.
While I definitely prefer hiking videos, I watch reviews as well. I like to get a feel for a place or hear what someone has to say about an item. Bottom line it’s even nicer to see a review from someone you trust and whose opinion you respect.
Thanks Kevin I appreciate your saying that. I want to try branching out just abit from my standard format, just to provide alittle variety. Thanks for the feedback.
I checked with my mother who is the booking agent lol, and she said it's good to get a reservation at least 4 months out. We go on a fall trip every year and usually try to plan our destination and booking sometime in the spring. I seriously love Black water falls though, there is so much to see and even a nice town only about 10 mins outside the park.

I have been staying in those cabins for over 10 years never ever had a bad experience up at black water falls.
@@history27-57 I can't wait to go back, love it there!

Great video!
Thanks so much! 😊
Absolutely gorgeous cabin, fantastically presented as always!
Thank you kindly my friend!
Thanks for the tour. Great video! Good deeds for good places.
Thank you my friend, and Merry Christmas!
Great video
Appreciate it, thanks!
Thanks for the tour. 👍
My pleasure. It's nice to get out of a tent and do a bit more civilized type of camping every once in awhile!
Cute and cozy, they def need some decor/framed pictures on the walls to make it feel a little more cabin-y. Very clean.
Would have been nice to see a few pics or decor of the park or other West Virginia attractions, I agree. But then again all those things were walking distance right out the door.
Hope your Mom enjoyed her stay. I'm like her when it comes to being camera shy too.
We both had a great time, every fall we select a different park or natural area to spend a weekend exploring and catching up on things.
I think it is a very nice cabin! Glad to hear another video is coming, was disappointed the other one was so short!
Lol, yes will be having a full length video of the gorgeous Black water falls state park hopefully this weekend!
Gee. I could live there, Gator. Thanks to you and your mom for the tour.
I could very much see myself living in a place like that and spending my days wandering around and living a simple quiet life, that would work for me!

Thanks for the comment Joseph, I didn't think about the propane truck! There is a tent campground there as well too.
I'm glad you shared content like this. We've stayed in lots of the PA state parks cabins, and this one looks much nicer than those!

Beautiful area we stayed in Canaan valley at a huge cabin near a ski resort and went to the black water falls
I really love that whole area of West Virginia, I would like to live there someday perhaps...
Come to Oklahoma 💗
10:00 Nice! 🌲🏠🌲
Thanks my friend.

Wow sounds like you had an epic trip last fall, I love the mountains of West Virginia. I hope you enjoy your time in Pennsylvania!

Appreciate it my friend!

Very nice. WV is a beautiful state. Any idea if they give a discount if you stay a week ? Thanks for sharing.

I really hope it has a bathroom and shower
Yes, absolutely does!

How far out did you have to book the cabin?
