Hello I just found your channel and love it! I had covid real bad back in January and almost 3 months to the day after all of my hair started shedding and falling out. I too had long very thick hair... My hairdresser told me that she's seeing a trend with people that had covid losing their hair I also asked my doctor about it and she said that she is seeing it as well... it is an unfortunate side effect of the virus... So now I am trying to maintain a healthy scalp, stay hydrated take vitamins etc. Hoping it will grow back. It was also suggested that I use a silk pillowcase.

Sandy, I always looked to the model Carmen Dell-Orefice as the poster woman for grey hair, and you definitely rock it. But on me, it just doesn't work. Dear Sandra,
I had been dyeing my hair for years but the white at the front would grow back so quickly I got fed up with it so I went to a hairdresser and asked his opinion - he said "grow your hair out and see what's underneath" so I did and I've never looked back - people ask me if I dye my hair because it's white on top but darker further down and they think it's cool - SOMEtimes natural is best!

Sandra, I asked you a few weeks ago about your straightening method. This video was fantastic! I have had keratin before which worked well but there is also Brazilian Blow Out, so I was very interested to find out which one you had as my hair is very wavy and even though I use a flatiron it doesnt stay smooth for long. I love the products you mention. I have Olaplex but I am going to try the others that you mention. Please keep us informed on your hair if you change things! I absolutely love your new hairstyle! Keep up the good work! ❤

I let my hair go gray after chemotherapy. At that time, my natural color of auburn, came in black and white...salt & pepper! Who knew that could happen. So I colored it for about a year afterwards to get more of my "red" back and then thought, what the HECK. I grew it out and have never looked back. The front is entirely white while the back is more auburn (like a baby, all that "chemo" growth fell out and new hair arrived!), but that's ok because I do not miss going to the salon for color! I had to go like every 6 weeks...what a hassle...and what an expense! So glad I am "natural" now...thanks for your great recommendations. Always enjoy your videos and your suggestions. Thanks so much! xoxo ~Nancy

Love all your videos. My dermatologist says you should wash your hair often because it's important to keep the scalp clean. (At least for me, because I tend to get buildup on my hair and scalp.) An irritated scalp can contribute to hair loss. But everybody has different hair, so who knows? I've heard so many good things about Olaplex, I must try! Thanks for the tips.

    • @SandraSallin

You're exactly right. Everyone is so different. I have no build up. So I wash my hair about every 3 days? It really depends on what I'm doing and where I'm going. You will love Olaplex. Do get one of the conditioner's also.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for sharing your hair care. Your hair looks very healthy . My hair is very fine and it's cut a bit shorter than yours with some long layers. I get the same keratin treatment every 4 months. That has made a huge difference in my hair. I've never tried Olapex but it's on my list. I'm currently alternating between Function of Beauty and Big Sexy Hair products. Have a wonderful week.

I really like your videos! About hair loss. Well I was losing a lot about a couple months or so ago. I thought my thyroid levels had dropped and I needed my meds increased. My doctor checked my levels and they were good! So he told me to get some Biotin. Well I went home and ordered some from Amazon. it is one that dissolves in your mouth and it tastes good. About 3 weeks after I started taking them I actually stopped losing hair. Very minimum! I am so excited! Something as simple as that! So you need to give it a try!

I started wearing wigs last spring because my hair is so thin now to the point I can't style it anymore. I have learned all about wigs since last spring. They are not hot, the ones to get are synthetic. They are fabulous. I'm still learning so much. If you have any ladies out there that have lost so much hair or chemo, check the wig channels on utube. So informative. GODIVASSECRETWIGS IS a great channel. Taz Secret Closet is another great channel. ..... I love your hair. I wish I could still have my own hair, but wigs have changed my life.
