It's going to be a losing battle if these guys really think making 100 different microvariations of 1 style of beer exlusive to taprooms is the way to a successful business model. Growing number of younger generations don't go to bars anymore for many reasons I won't get into. Instead they prefer to get something specific they want from a liquor store and share it at homes. And as the female host pointed out towards the end, small craft breweries are focusing on styles nobody wants to drink. For example, all my craft beers are from Colorodo / Michigan and these include -- English Strong Darks, Belgian Trappists, Saisons, and German Hefes. When I look up the aisles at my local store I do not see a single MN brewery selling these styles. Obnoxious branding without a clear front description of "beer style" is makes it even more difficult.
Nah it's over.. craft beer had a good run and it's probably not going anywhere, but the beer industry is shrinking. And people aren't interested in paying $12 for a four pack anymore.
@@adamk.7177 more people are turning to drinking non beer drinks these days. Stuff like white claw has taken a big chunk out of the beer segment. Beer consumption overall is, and has been on a downhill slide in the last few years.

I wish it was $12 a four pack in my area it’s $18-22 on average. I really cut back and started brewing my own again because of the cost.
This fad is finally over??
