    Excellent hints for trip ... planning on 10 days in October although with COVID unknowns, have gone through an agent for the peace of mind cover ...
    Have slightly different agenda although same route round ... blue lagoon, lava experience , ice cave & glacier, lake Myvatn and Godafoss waterfall, whale watch and northern lights boat tour ... also used pictures online (and some of your ideas) to plan in some waterfalls, the glacier lake, some volcanic activity and other awesome things to see en route with the 4x4 SUV. Whoop!

    Probably consider starting a travel agency. You would be an ideal travel advisor. Most would simply go with your recommendations 😀👍

    Great vlog but certainly for the richer clientele visiting Iceland 🇮🇸

    How did you get from Reykjavic hotel to Happy Camper? I heard they were not in Reykjavic. When you returned to the city at end, did they have parking at the hotel for your van or did you turn it in prior and then shuttle to airport for return? Great video-Thanks

      I’m not sure what their current policy is, but at the time, a representative from Cozy Campers picked us up from our hotel and brought us to their facility to begin our rental. At the end of the trip, we drove straight to Cozy Campers and then the owner drove us back to our hotel. Their business is not too far outside the city center. We took a shuttle from the hotel back to the airport. Best of luck!

      @@akfasso Thank you so much. I've watched dozens of videos on Iceland and your map seemed to be the way I will plan out. I also liked that you split things up between the van and camper. I'm not young anymore, I'm going to want a bed now and then and a hot shower.

    Hey, great video! We plan to visit Iceland in October for 8 days and would like to have a road trip around the ring road which means we'll be on a very tight schedule but which hot pot is it in your video at 5:50? Or do you have any. recommendations for hot pots? We still can't decide :D

    • @akfasso
      @akfasso  4 года назад +2

      Hope you have a wonderful trip! The hot pot at that timecode is actually Myvatn Nature Baths on the east side of Iceland. It’s the non-touristy version of the Blue Lagoon. :) There’s also an app you can download called “Hot Pot Iceland” that tells you where all the hotpots are dotted around the country! I definitely recommend that.

      @@akfasso thank you so much for the quick reply. The myvatn bath is actually on our list already, just couldn't recognise it from this angle :D Looks great, we can't wait!

    Hello. We are planning 14 days in May - and have a similar sectioning of how to spend the days. Which areas do you wish you had had an extra day? TIA.

      Great question! I wish I could say “every place!” BUT, if I had to pick two, I’d say I wish I had more time at Skaftafell (it’s a national park with a lot to explore) and Djúpivogur - this area was just so isolated and beautiful. There’s nothing in particular I’d recommend there, but I just loved the scenery and would love to be able to hike there a bit more. :)
